My dell inspiron n5010 running on Windows 8, today all of a sudden started showing some grains on the display.Soon after it happened, it showed me a message which says
"Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restarts. were just collecting some error info, and then well restart for you (100% complete)".
The system restarted by itself and it started running system repair. The system repair screen is also grainy. After the repairing is done, it restarted showing Windows 8 logo(that too with grainy display).But nothing really happens after that and it its stuck. So I decided to switch it off and turn it back ON after sometimes. I did that and the PC booted with no issues with the display perfectly fine. But the same issue is repeating again and again and I will have to shut down the system for some time and then again turn it back ON to make it run normal.
My new laptop is crashing multiple times every day. It freezes, reboots itself or I get BSoD. I use it mostly for playing League of Legends and watching videos on Youtube , but it crashes on everything.
I tried to reinstall Windows 8.1 (OS I had when I bought laptop), reinstall all drivers, install new drivers but its still crashing. Also tried to run it in safe mode but it crashed there too.

My laptop keeps crashing with the error Random BSOD, Driver_IRQL_Not_less_or_equal tcpip.sys, and looking through it with blue screen view, I've noticed that each one has something different for the primary reason.
I have attached all of the crashes through the beginning of the month.
I have an Acer Aspire laptop which has recently stopped booting up. It doesn't display anything when powered on. I know it is not a problem with windows because it doesn't even display the Bios boot screen. Why is this? The fans start but I cant hear the hard drive.
When I start A3, it boots up just fine, then when I try to start a campaign/showcase mission or Multiplayer server, the screen starts getting horizontal lines jumping on the screen/blurred blocks sometimes as well, and then my computer either freezes up or automatically restarts, sometimes I can close ARMA n goto desktop but that gets whacked out as well doing the same thing basically on my homescreen. It then proceeds to do the same thing to me when I'm just on the desktop trying to open Google Chrome or any other task for that matter, still getting the "Display Driver Has Stopped Responding and Has Recovered" in the bottom right corner of Windows.
I've literally tried everything regarding troubleshooting this matter and to no success: Updating Drivers/Windows, Tweaking Catalyst CC settings, Disabling Hibernation, Even Refreshing the PC (Windows 8.1), Booting in Safe Mode (MSConfig), scanned for Viruses, complete Reinstall of ARMA 3, ... This has been driving me crazy the last few days and cannot figure out for the life of me why it is doing this now?? ARMA 3 was running great the first 4 or 5 months I've had it and has never had issues like this, it seems it all started after trying to join a server Online and then it crashed and froze and has been doing this Display Driver Error stuff ever since (I did recently download new Mods as well).. Do complete PC Reset is necessary? I mean after the PC Refresh, my desktop and everything else was running amazingly fast and smooth, everything was up to date, I re-installed ARMA 3 and tried again to play this morning, sadly the same errors occurred and Lines are jumping all over my screen and everything is lagging. I've recently upgraded my Dell Vostro 400 to Windows 8. Solid colors are fine, but most photos have "static" in them. The location of the static can change, and some of the picture can be fine.

These are the errors that I have gotten so far since I decided to write them down. There probably are others that I did not write down or missed due to laptop restarting. Errors listed below.
I am finding a problems with windows 8 when i start the computer it crashes and I get blue screen error my anti virus scanned everything it was clean no viruses or threats and when I restart my computer the screen freeze even my mouse cursor freezes and again i have to restart and updates are fully updated.

But I am not 100% sure what I'm looking at. In WinDBG I am pretty sure I've succesfully pointed the symbol path to download symbols correctly from msdn.
So we ran "dm log collector", the ZIP is attached.
p.s. We do have a large RAID drive attached via USB3; connecting that seemed to correlate to the start of these crashes, but that might be wishful correlation seeking.
Every five minutes I recieve the BSOD and it says critical_process_died. The weird thing is, I reset my computer back to factory settings and as soon as I booted it did it again... I got my computer to work for like 10 minutes and as soon as I thought it stopped for good, it did it again.
My PC sometimes crashes during bootup too.
Edit: I was just downloading something and halfway in it said something like "Failed to download and install files". Then the taskbar in the bottom of my screen disapeared and my computer got the BSOD saying "Critical_Process_Died"...

Windows 8.1 First noticed issues when on the initial installation of windows 8.1 there was a hang while it was showing the blue windows logo. Multiple attempts led to me reaching various stages of setting up the computer, i.e. installing all latest drivers, BIOS and firmware for the hardware and installing a number (but never all) of the available windows updates. Through out the process I experienced frequent BSOD (generally within second or minutes of logging into the user) that did not appear to be initiated by anything in particular. Hangs were frequent when attempting windows updates (happened during 'checking for updates', 'downloading updates' and 'installing updates' on shutdown). Examples of the types of BSOD experienced.
Attempts at fixing the issue included fresh windows 8.1 installs (where crashes/hangs during installation off disc were experienced), resitting RAM, installing windows on HDD by itself (as opposed to SSD by itself), running startup repair tools (various times did not detect a problem or could not fix). Problems continued in various frequencies at various stages no matter the attempted fixes.
Windows 7 Suspecting compatibility issues between the hardware drivers and windows 8.1, a fresh install of Windows 7 was attempted. This has been more stable on installing drivers but on attempting windows updates the same update problems were experienced in the forms of hangs rather than BSOD, the only BSOD error that has come up on occasion is 'a clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval'. This BSOD has interrupted the installation (on shutdown) of windows updates on the rare occasion they manage to download in their entirety. More frequent crashes was also experienced after updating to the latest GPU driver. Installing the latest mobo AMD All in 1 driver from ASRock (contains AMD Catalyst Install Manager, AMD SATA AHCI Driver, AMD USB Fillter Driver) causes windows to freeze on restart at the Starting Windows page with windows logo but seems to function OK after restart.
Troubleshooting for windows updates including running check disk and windows update diagnostic tool which did not appear to show or fix issues.
Startup repair was also attempted and provided the following Root cause found: Unknown Bugcheck: Bugcheck 101. Parameters = 0x21, 0x0, 0xfffff88002f65180, 0x2. Not sure if that means anything.
At the moment the PC has windows 7 installed onto the SSD, latest lan/usb/audio drivers and microsoft security essential (antivirus) installed with only 2 windows updates installed: Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB2621440) Update for Microsoft Windows (KB976902)
This appears to be stable, but attempts at windows update and installing the mobo driver causes the problems mentioned above. I have been using the current setup as a restore point.
The below minidump is within the context of the 'stable' config + latest mobo AMD All in 1 driver and the BSOD occurred while installing windows updates before shutdown.
So I have a new Windows 8.1 build and its been having quite a few problems. On start ups if I don't go into bios before loading into windows I get a blue screen. I also get lots of crashes, usually when playing games. If you need me to upload any other files let me know. my brother brought over a burned dvd on easter, played fine, nothing weird happened. the next day BSODs like woah, firefox and chrome crashing at random intervals. i tried system restore, it seems to have decreased the frequency of blue screens but they still happen and the browsers crash just as often. i'm pretty sure i'm running windows 7 (i know nothing about computers) i'm not a hundred percent sure the DVD was the culprit, but its a big coincidence if its not. hopefully i did the diagnostic thing right, i'll try and upload. earlier something strange happened where i had no sound, could not open the volume menu, tried to click shut down, nothing happened. had to give the old power button smothering to restart and now it seems okay.
I had a problem a few months ago on Windows 8.1 I was unable to solve so I reinstalled windows 8 and was able to put my computer to sleep and wake again. Upon re-updating to Windows 8.1 I once again have the problem of a crash when trying to come out of sleep.
I tried Windows 8.1 again because of hardware changes that allowed me to uninstall a few outdated drivers, but that did not fix the problem. What may be causing it to crash when trying to wake?

My computer has been crashing mostly while playing Guild Wars 2 and Archeage. It will crash, go to a weird colored screen, and I have to manually shut it off. I did a memtest and everything checked out, and I also tried switching the power supply out with one that wasn't having any problems and that didn't work either. I've also tried playing the games on the lowest settings and it still doesn't really work.
I have an issue with my Windows 8 PC, as it keeps crashing (Page Fault in non-paged area). Not everyday and not while doing anything special. I can play games without any issue - and then be editing a document and it shuts down.
I replaced my HD for a SD back in May but since then i havent made any changes to the setup.
About 6 days ago my computer started to crash (as in no shutdown sequence, just straight off) and reboot on the hour, every hour. So 11am, 12pm, 1pm on the dot.
I tried memtest to see if it was a memory issue and it ran for 3 hours with no errors. Safe mode is not effected so it seems to be specific to windows proper.

About an hour ago I was playing Dota 2 (a game application via Steam) when it crashed. There was no error report or explanation, it just crashed to the desktop. Upon restarting it, after a few moments it again crashed.
I attempted to restart my computer and got stuck at an American Megatrend BIOS screen talking about a CPU failure. Going into BIOS I shut off the CPU Fan monitors and was able to successfully restart the computer.
After a few moments I got a BSOD error, Watchdog_Clock. I restarted and again after a few moments got an IRQL BSOD error.
I downloaded an application called SlimCleaner and this seemed to resolve the BSOD errors, but the Dota 2 crashing without explanation is still occurring despite verifying the cache, and then deleting re-downloading and re-installing all together.
I've an odd issue. Every time I boot up my computer for the first time in the evening after work, it will freeze and crash several times but then remain fine for the rest of the night after multiple restarts. The cycle then repeats itself the next day.
Ever since I have bought this computer, it has constantly crashed. When I attempt to fix something, for example: re-seat the memory, made sure there was plenty of cable slack, etc. The system will then seem stable for 7-10 days. Then out of the blue, the system will crash several times in a short time (sometimes this period can be a few hours or a few days). Even though it has constantly crashed (in the hundreds of times) I would say I have actually witnessed it less than 10 times. There was one time though the system had crashed, rebooted, and then even crashed again before I even had a chance to log in.
The file included is from the last 2 months and it has 30 files. This appears to be a rather large number, this is nothing compared to what it used to be like when I first purchased this system a year ago.

I have a Asus pc, that has been crashing all the time due to unknown reasons. I have experienced that as soon as it hangs due to some process that is taking some time, it usually ends with a BSOD. I can let the computer alone and when I come back it has crashed, apparently for no reason, since I have not been using it for anything.
It crashes and gives the BSOD for many different reasons, I don't have the complete overview of all the reason, but above two listed reasons are the most significant. I have been using WhoCrashed, but does seem to get anywhere with the information provided by this. The PC is a new laptop.
I have followed the instruction and I'm uploading the zip file created by SF Diagnostic Tool.
I've just bought a Toshiba L855 with Windows 8 factory installed. So, I'm trying to learn two things at same time, Windows 8 and the laptop functionality. One of the details that I don't like is the automatic power on and boot up every time I open the display, regardless... may be useful for other users, but not me.
Although there is an option to disable that Panel-open/Power-on, still does it! The "disabled" status is there, but nothing changed. It keeps starting up.
I haven't installed anything yet to the PC until I'm really sure there is nothing wrong with the hardware, I hope is not a warranty issue.
BTW, I have two administrator users, my wife and I. We tried disabling that power up with each user logged and still won't work.
I've upgraded to windows 8.1 a few days ago through a custom install as I was running windows 8 x86 and wanted to switch to x64. I've also just updated the BIOS.
After the upgrade though, my laptop goes into sleep/standby and locks the screen instead of turning off the display as I have it set. So, if I edit any power plan settings to turn off the display after 2 minutes, it will go to sleep after 2 minutes.
Downloaded this AM to 8.1 from Win 8. Have an old Gateway laptop, can't afford to get new even though I need one. The display is very dark - it was fine with Win 8. Is there some setting I need to change - can't find any way to make it brighter. Like I said, it was fine before & I didn't change any settings myself.
I have a problem of windows 8.1 and my laptop (HP EliteBook 8560w). My display is full HD (1920x1080), 15.6", GPU: nVidia Quadro 2000M. When I installed windows 8.1 (all version, 64 bit) the GPU driver is updated automatically at lastest version (327.31). But some 3rd application ex: Google chrome... is blurry. Then, I chosed the option "Let me choose one scaling option for all my displays" at 125%. All thing is OK.
But whenever I started my windows, my display always flashing one time, about 1-2s. it's very inconvenience. Because of that problem, I downgrade to windows 8.0. But i still want to use windows 8.1 ....
I am fixing a customer's laptop Lenovo N585 and when I push the power button to turn on the machine, I will hear the fan spinning very low but no display. I already hook up a monitor to it but nothing happen. I pressed the FN / F3 buttons and still no display. I even removed the bottom cover to reseat the ram and still no display.
Since I have installed windows 8.1, every time for example if I don't use my laptop for 10 minutes, and because of the battery saving setting plan, my display turns off. Before I installed windows 8.1, I could just move a mouse or press any key and display would turn on, but since the installation I have to restart my laptop (Samsung ultrabook), even if I can hear it's on and working.
Since installing Windows 8 to my laptop, I can no longer display to my Samsung USB hub monitor.
When I try to duplicate or extend, the hub says 'Connecting to PC...' but then nothing happens. Something is working as my mouse and keyboard are plugged into the hub and they work. I just cant get the display. I think all my drivers are up to date.
