I have run sfc/scannow in win 7, and have followed instructions to run sfc at boot in command prompt, but nothing has solved the errors. i have saved the file sfcdetails.txt to desktop, and have extracted only the problematic parts and saved it in another file problems.txt kindly check the file, as i have attached it here.
all the files are either .inf or with .nlp extensions.windows is running fine. but i want to get rid of the problems before they become a serious issue. I have a pre-installed OEM version of win 7 basic SP 1, and i have a HP G6-1117TX laptop. There is a drive named "System", which is the active and boot-able partition, and is not the same drive where windows is installed.

I have Win7x64Ulti -Dell OEM I auto installed Sp1 in a moment of weakness (gave in to the pain of Windows 7).I have problems with some programs around com+ and VSS, notably Casper, but others as well so I ran sfc /scannow.Only one file shows up as a problem and Win says "cannot repair - source file corrupt". It is the windowssystem32catsvrut.dll, a com+ library.
Message follows:Cannot repair member file [l:24{12}]"catsrvut.dll" of Microsoft-Windows-COM-ComPlus-Runtime-QFE-CATSRVUT-COMSVCS, Version = 6.1.7600.16385, pA = PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE_AMD64 (9), Culture neutral, VersionScope = 1 nonSxS, PublicKeyToken = {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35}, Type neutral, TypeName neutral, PublicKey neutral in the store, hash mismatch The attempted source is the winsxs folder. The 7600 would be pre SP1 if I read that right, so of course it cannot repair. So - I check the last disk image I had of this disk and in fact that file size and dttm is the same in the indicated winsxs folder but different in system32. I get that system32 is a secure dir/file and I cannot just copy/paste. But how to fix this is stumping me.
Weird part - I'm having trouble finding the actual file because of how Windows 7 uses Winsxs to dynamically link these files to the OS depending upon 32 or 64 bit access. I'm guessing there is a junction or symbolic link involved, because in Win explorer the file is correct size and date, in DOS it is correct size and date but when I run superfinder it shows all files with this name and system32 has wrong size and date.So it appears system32catsrvut.dll has a problem, and it further appears that the source to repair is from a pre-SP1 image in this library.I can't repair (OEM to SP1).I can't seem to copy the dll from the backup image. How do I get a valid copy of the dll? Or even tell if it is invalid?

Recently I had an issue with Chrome (which is now solved), But during solving the error I done an SFC Scan as it was a windows .DLL that was reporting to be in error and the scan found a few files that were un-repairable.I also downloaded a Windows 7 Installation Disc from Digital River; Here. After extracting the required files from the .iso files with 7-Zip, I changed the ownership of them and 'Moved and Replaced' the old files with the new files.
These are the files I replaced;
autochk.exe
blbres.dll
netcfgx.dll.mui
icardres.dll
winshfhc.dll
I then re-booted in safe mode with CMD Prompt and re-scanned with SFC, but the same files are reporting they are in error. Are they important? Is there another way to repair them? I am running Windows 7 Home Premium, I have attached the most recent SFC Scan.

I recently got some work done on my machine at a "PC fixit" store. It was unbootable due to an encryption issue that I had created, so as part of the service, they loaded Ultimate on it. When I got the machine back, it worked fine, but I couldn't shut it down without holding down the power button (would always reboot). I still don't have any issues with my machine, but when I run scannow (many times) I get errors about seemingly important files, but I can't tell if I have cause for concern, or what the next steps should be, since I don't have any way to replace the corrupted files. I would prefer not to have the OS reloaded.

i get a windows error randomly when i search my folders. To my knowledge the errors started happening about a week ago when my comp shut off by accident. The folder crashes then it says windows is searching for a solution, then it restarts and no solution is ever found. I find this error in win explorer. Also a program i run guitar pro 6 is completely crashes, even tried reinstalling to no avail thats how i know its a windows error. I have no restore points for whatever reason so that cant work, dont wanna reload or upgrade, i tried sfc/scannow and it says it was unable to fix it and couldnt proceed. help please this is very annoying i need my program back. I need to replace the damaged files.

I have disconnected one of my HDs for audiorecoding. Windows seems to try to boot from it from time to time. Sometimes when I cant boot, the windows installation cant be found at all. Win keeps telling me to change the wireless USB to a faster one, and somtimes it drops out.I have updated all drivers lately, run chkdsk and scf / scannow : it finds files damaged, but cant repair.Even when I bought the PC it could not find the one of the HDs, I changed the ASA-connect-cables and it worked till now. most of the time the PC runns ok.

I have just run the sfc /scannow command, just to see what the result would be.
If you've ported Windows Mail over from Vista like I have, then the scannow command returns the Windows Mail folders back to the default installation settings.
Windows Mail will no longer run.
I had to boot into Vista and copy the program files folder from Vista to Win 7 to re enable Windows Mail. The Windows Mail program store in app data remains unchanged.

My computer was installing the latest updates for windows 7 professional 64 bit and the battery died during the shut down process, and now when I start the computer it will allow me to log in but when it hits the desktop it freezes up completely. I have tried using the system restore but somehow my restore points cant be found anywhere and when I tried using the system repair option on the installation cd it says it cant because the problem is unfixable. The error it says it has is in the boot sector and it says the error code is 0x45d, but when I ran it a second time it didn't say that. I really don't want to deal with pulling off all of my personal files and then installing a fresh copy of windows because that would be too much of a hassle, but if i have to i will.

iassdo.dll.mui a 6kb file found in the syswow64en-us folder.I tired extracting file from my win7 disk however it still keeps the error on rescan. I was wondering if someone could upload the file so I could try that, dont want to do a full repair install for one file.there's 2 files with the name iassdo.dll.mui, the problem ones are the 6kb not the 45kb file.

running Win7 X64 having recently (2 months) transferred from XP. My Outlook pst files are in need or repair. I have used SCANPST.EXE on previous machines so am familiar with it. The problem is that the .pst files are stored, as it is the default location, within "/Users/Uername/Local Settings". This directory gives me the message "Access is Denied". I am logged in as adminstrator but am unable to see a way round this.

I've had trouble with my machine starting. I've done all the advice the 7 Forum suggests, running start up 3 times...etc., and it will work for a day or two, then not start. Then if I hit the reset button a couple of times, it will go into the start up repair and I end up with this message:
Repair Action/ System files Integrity check and repair
Result Failed / Error code = 0x490
Time Taken / 700863 ms
I've run sfc from an elevated window and it says everything is fine.

I bought my daughter a laptop. I dont have a windows 7 disc as windows 7 came already installed. However yesterday when she turned laptop off to have her tea and when she went back to use it. We noticed that after the windows logo had appeared the screen stayed black we could move the mouse but that was about it. I put the laptop into safe mode and checked for viruses malware and trojans, also tried a system restore but that didn't seem to do anything and found nothing suspicious.
Also did the sfc /scannow no errors reported. I read that you could get into the Task manager and stop the explore.exe and add a new one and start it again. This however I cannot try as I cant get past the windows logo screen.. So in a nut shell here's what ive tried and failed at doing..
1- Startup repair
2- System restore
3- (Via Safemode) checking for viruses, malware, trojans.
4- (Vie Safemode) updated to latest Graphic Driver
5- Tried this >> Windows 7 Black Screen Of Death Fix << did its job but after reboot went back to black screen
6- Removed battery and pressed power button for 30 - 60 seconds (to no avail)

In the beginning of the year I got the infamous malware that infected many PC's worldwide (can't remember the name) and got my action center completely destroyed. I eventually fixed it, by adding the Security Center service that was gone, but one issue still remains: the action center system tray icon is greyed out, and impossible to turn back on!
I searched online, and the most common solution I've found was to run the sfc /scannow command. So I did, and for some reason it stops at 69% and after about a minute stuck at that number it says: "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation" I tried multiple times, but the same error happens every time. How can I fix this error, without re-installing the OS? Or is this only solved that way?

I have an Acer Aspire 5750-6677. I3-2310m. It has been performing the startup repair for over a day. It's now, finally (I think), saying "windows is loading files". It has been doing this for HOURS! Can I simply turn it off and attempt a different method or will that make it worse? BTW: it came with zero discs of any kind when I purchased it new in July 2011. This is my work comp too and I can't lose the info that's on it.

Anyone else experience this with Win 7 Professional?

I am pretty sure that a virus cause this, right before my computer shut down on it's own my anti virus popped up and said that a Trojan was found but I didn't have to do anything. Then the computer shut down and when it restartrd started to load files and then go into startup repair, only it couldn't fix it. I tried a restore, but again it said that the startup files wern't there. I just quickly scanned the diagnostic details and noticed something that said "boot critical file C:CI.dll is corrupt".
