I have a notebook that is connected to ADSL modem via Ethernet cable.I don't know how it happened but at a certain moment after I rebooted it, my network connections started looking like this:I have an extra unidentified network and at the start up my notebook tries to connect to it and fails. So I have to manually disable and enable Local Area Connection for it to start working and things look like they should:This happens every time I start up Windows.
I'm trying to achieve something which I think most might not have tried, starting with what I have
1.Type 2 adsl2+ cpe/iad modem-It has built in wifi. 2.A fiber internet connection. 3.A samsung smart tv with built in lan adapter (40 inch LED-no wifi but wifi ready)
Now the modem which I have mentioned above cannot be used with the fiber internet connection. So,it is just lying waste but I want to use my internet connection provided by my ISP through fiber connection with the modem so that I can use my modem's wifi and lan ports. What I have done was connected my laptop to my modem's wifi and also to my ISP's fiber connection so my laptop is connected to both the networks and now I have tried to establish a bridge connection between the lan connection and the wifi connection I was successful and I was also able to share my internet connection(as shown in my laptop) but when I have checked for the wifi internet connection it is not there(Checked on my mobile-one x and ipad). So is there any way so that I can do this...??Please don't suggest me to use a application like connectify or virtual router to share my fiber internet connection. Now there is a another thing that i have mentioned above my Samsung tv now I have connected one of my modem's lan connection to my tv and tried to use the all share application(my laptop is connected to the same modem through wifi) in my laptop I have found my tv and the laptop connected to the modem(Control PanelNetwork and InternetNetwork Map)but my tv is not at all recognizing my laptop and my laptop is also not finding my tv(in the allshare application). If my first problem of getting my internet to the modem's wifi is possible then I also want to try that for the modem's lan connection so that I can avoid the pain of buying a samsung wifi dongle which costs more than 10% of my tv's price.
I installed the windows 7 RC with great enthusiasm but found that the driver for my speedtouch 330 adsl modem which was working fine for beta not working the problem being the setting option for world cannot be selected. Bad experience from windows7 indeed!
So basically I'm using adsl for my internet and it seems everytime during a storm the internet will flicker on and off (ive seen it go up to 5 to 7 times within 5 minutes.) I dont know whats going on with regards to my isp but im wondering if this could be my modem, or my isp.
I am trying to enable a new Incoming Connection but get a message saying "Incoming connections depend on the Routing and Remote Access service, which was unable to start".I have a standard 56K modem installed, using a telephone line. The computer is a stand alone system, running a local application where Internet access is not required.I do however need to access the PC from time to time and dialup is the only option. Is there a work around as it appears that Windows 7 needs to identify a Netork befor starting the Routing and Remote Access service?
The problem with Windows 7 and an USB 3G modem is that everytime I use it it creates a new connection, and next time I plug the modem in it will be like "Internett Modem Connection 11" and in the connection list I got many of them, how can I prevent this issue? And can I delete some of them by any chance?

i am using a USB modem for networking, but i want to connect my cell to the internet using this modem via WiFi. How can i setup up a WiFi connection in my house using this USB modem?
I've just bought a new router-modem (lynksys x2000) to replace my old modem. After going through the setup(by using quick install guide CD-ROM provide with router-modem), i've got no internet connection. My laptop can connect to the router-modem but not the internet.Do my new modem have its own firewall?(I know my laptop firewall is running). Do i need to disable the firewall? If yes, which one should i disable, my laptop of modem.
I have successfully connected my two Windows7 machines via local network (Ethernet) - it worked automatically, no setup was needed. Everything is fine, for example I'm able to use a share mouse utility via the local network and control both computers with the same mouse. However once the network is swtiched on, my stick modem mobile 3G internet connection is shut down (the browser reports DNS name not resolved error). If I turn off the router the internet connection immediately returns. I tried to disable the firewall but to no avail.
For some reason my router and modem will not show correctly on my dell inspirion one desktop. Im running windows 7 and here are the net work connection deatils

The Connection was working about ten days ago and then suddenly stopped and read as an unidentified network no internet access. at one point is was not receiving packets but now it is but it still says no internet access on the IPv4 Connectivity. Media state is also enabled and the speed is 100.0 Mbps when i troubleshoot it says windows cant identify problem but in the details it says default gateway is available. when i use the cmd prompt ipconfig/all my local ethernet adapter has a physical address of all zeros.
I tried putting the OS disk and restart, but I get the same error, and I dont know how to reinstall the OS. I can manage to get to the BIOS, if thats what its called, but Im not sure what to do from there. I tried setting priority to CD Rom but still, same error.Im running Windows 7 Home premium 64bit.
My computer started to freeze up a lot and now I receive the following error message on startup: "Reboot and Select proper Boot device. Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press any key."It is a Windows XP OS.
After starting up windows, it becomes inaccessible for 2 or 3 minutes and got the internet connection icon loading in the taskbar, it may caused by a program that needs internet connection while startup or after startup. So I want to know which program needs internet connection while startup or after startup and how to block it from using internet connection.
I'm having a problem which seems to be network related as that's what I have narrowed it down to through forums ect. and now I need to know how to fix it! I always have good luck here and hoping to continue the trend.Problem: When Windows 7 is booting, it gets to what appears to be the Desktop but no icons are visible, only the solid background and the mouse cursor. It takes about 2 minutes for the loading process to complete from that point after taking only 18 seconds to get there. After trial and error in addition to reading other forums, I came to the conclusion that this is caused by my networked drives that are mapped to the computer. When I unplug them from the network, the entire loading process takes less than 30 seconds!Question: Is there any fix for this like possibly delaying the connection to the networked drives until I manually access them? Seems all the "answers" I found elsewhere result in editing the registry or something similar which I suppose if thats what it takes I'll do it. Just wanted to get a second opinion before I go in changing things that may or may not address the issue.
I have a Toshiba laptop. windows 7 home 64 bit. I uninstalled windows live mail from my computer & since then my computer is Verrrry slow. if I switch off my adsl the computer's speed is normal. All programs are "not Responsive" when i am connected to the internet..Please help. I ran a virus check (bitdefender ) no viruses were detetected.
I'll try my best to explain all the issues clearly.from very above downto the third line are:IPv4 connection : not connected (Not OK, it wasn't like that)IPv6 connection : not connected (No public IPv6 connection in China, this is OK)Media State: connectedBut as you can see below, network is OK (Yeah, it seems that). The problem is, this ADSL connection is not showed in 'Avtive Networks'.Most online activities are OK, but somw applications like EA Origin are malfunctioned(I'm sure it is because of the problem in network connection)I've tried reset my winsock, LSP, netsh int ipv4,also reinstalled drivers. All above didn'you may wanna have a look at my Network and Share Center. Here it comes.Area 1 shows that there is no active networks except a 'unidentified network'(this refers to Local Area Conncetion. Since I don't neither have a router nor use LAN, that don't matter). When ADSL was OK, I got a active ADSL network there.
I have a Netgear WNR-2000v2 broadband router (for PPPoE connections such as iBurst). I am getting a 4MB/s ADSL line soon which comes with an ADSL modem (not wireless)Will i be able to connect the modem to my netgear router via Ethernet and then connect to the internet wirelessly?

I started getting a "DNS not responding"? on my desktop. All my wireless devices work fine, and when I turn off my laptop's WiFi card and plug it into the same router it works as well.I've done some Googleing on the issue and none of what I found has helped. When I do an ipconfig on each maching, the thing I notice is that on the working laptop I have an entry for the "Connection specific DNS suffix under the "Tunnel adapter Local Area Connection", where on the desktop that's not working the suffix is blank.
