View 3 RepliesSaturday, I updated to the Windows 7 SP1. Soon after, I started having this problem with a yellow triangle in the tray icon where the internet access indicator is that says "no internet access". This is a bogus message, but its still annoying. This went away if you reboot, and then later maybe that same day the triangle would reappear. Each time I did still have internet access. I tried several other things like getting rid of IE 9 which I updated to during the same day and maybe a couple of other updates around this time.
Last night (Thur) was to get rid of the SP1 after several failed attempts. I had to do so by using the cmd WUSA etc instead of through the control panel, because it kept getting stuck trying to do the uninstall through the control panel uninstall method. This morning, it did not yet have the yellow triangle, and I will check it again this afternoon after work to make sure it has not come back again.
having battery indicator hpid09 display on my hp computer at boot up,saying ther was an error,i repaced the battery, but i still had the warning on boot up.having tried different methods to get rid of this message,i gave up,i had to clean up my start up programmes in ccleaner which is a free down load i have used for years and is safe and easy to use, open ccleaner up ,go to tools then start up ,look for battery indicator in list and highlight it then disable.i then booted my computer up ,the message has not reappeard since.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI pulled apart my HP dv6t 6000 Quad Edition last night to clean a year's worth of dust accumulation out of it. While I was quite impressed at how sturdy the construction of the laptop was (22 good, strong screws holding in the top cover alone), I put it back together and the orange indicator light is stuck ON (the one that says if the AC cable is plugged in or not) even if it's not plugged in! So, I pulled it back apart and re-checked the power connector cable, and everything was fine and in place. It goes on even if the laptop is turned off. As long as the battery is in, that orange light turns on.
The orange light is only supposed to come on if the AC is plugged in and the battery is charging. Also, if I plug in the AC cable, it light turns off. I never actually removed the power connector cable from the system board, so there's no way it got turned around. Could this be caused, however, if another plug somewhere got turned around? For further reference, here is the manual I used. [URL]. I went as far as removing the system board.
Items I did not remove are as follows:
Power button board
Fingerprint reader board
Speaker assemblies (front and back)
(My laptop has no bluetooth module, so that's irrelevant)
USB Board
Power connector cable
I've been bothered by the lack of a visual indication of network activity on Windows 7, so I found and installed this:
Network Activity Indicator for Windows 7 - IT Samples
It is just the twin monitors like in XP, but even when I'm not doing anything on the internet, both monitors keep a steady beat in harmony of ~2 beats/s. Is this normal for a cable connection?
My battery indicator on WIN 7 has started showing 100% constantly and then the laptop will die when the battery does. This is a fairly recent development.

The problem is, this ADSL connection is not showed in 'Avtive Networks'.Most online activities are OK, but somw applications like EA Origin are malfunctioned(I'm sure it is because of the problem in network connection)I've tried reset my winsock, LSP, netsh int ipv4,also reinstalled drivers. All above didn'you may wanna have a look at my Network and Share Center. Here it comes.Area 1 shows that there is no active networks except a 'unidentified network'(this refers to Local Area Conncetion. Since I don't neither have a router nor use LAN, that don't matter). When ADSL was OK, I got a active ADSL network there.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just want to be able to increase the speed of my fans beyond their spec, and have complete manual control over their RPMs without a care about the temps. I have a liquid cooling setup and the fans on my radiator as they are right now simply aren't cutting it. I have them hooked up to the motherboard in hopes of finding something to just boost their speed via software, but SpeedFan is the only thing I could find and it simply sucks for that purpose.

I'm trying to achieve something which I think most might not have tried, starting with what I have
1.Type 2 adsl2+ cpe/iad modem-It has built in wifi.
2.A fiber internet connection.
3.A samsung smart tv with built in lan adapter (40 inch LED-no wifi but wifi ready)
Now the modem which I have mentioned above cannot be used with the fiber internet connection. So,it is just lying waste but I want to use my internet connection provided by my ISP through fiber connection with the modem so that I can use my modem's wifi and lan ports. What I have done was connected my laptop to my modem's wifi and also to my ISP's fiber connection so my laptop is connected to both the networks and now I have tried to establish a bridge connection between the lan connection and the wifi connection I was successful and I was also able to share my internet connection(as shown in my laptop) but when I have checked for the wifi internet connection it is not there(Checked on my mobile-one x and ipad). So is there any way so that I can do this...??Please don't suggest me to use a application like connectify or virtual router to share my fiber internet connection. Now there is a another thing that i have mentioned above my Samsung tv now I have connected one of my modem's lan connection to my tv and tried to use the all share application(my laptop is connected to the same modem through wifi) in my laptop I have found my tv and the laptop connected to the modem(Control PanelNetwork and InternetNetwork Map)but my tv is not at all recognizing my laptop and my laptop is also not finding my tv(in the allshare application). If my first problem of getting my internet to the modem's wifi is possible then I also want to try that for the modem's lan connection so that I can avoid the pain of buying a samsung wifi dongle which costs more than 10% of my tv's price.
I have a notebook that is connected to ADSL modem via Ethernet cable.I don't know how it happened but at a certain moment after I rebooted it, my network connections started looking like this:I have an extra unidentified network and at the start up my notebook tries to connect to it and fails. So I have to manually disable and enable Local Area Connection for it to start working and things look like they should:This happens every time I start up Windows.

On the bottom right of the desktop on Windows 76, the notification icon for internet usually shows the disconnected icon or the no access icon. I'm still connected to the internet though and when I click on the icon, it opens up to show my connection (that is working). Why is it doing this? I've tried googling it, no use. It's not really a big deal, but knowing if I'm connected without having to click on the icon is nice.
