Adsl Freezing My Computer
Mar 3, 2011I have a Toshiba laptop. windows 7 home 64 bit. I uninstalled windows live mail from my computer & since then my computer is Verrrry slow. if I switch off my adsl the computer's speed is normal.All programs are "not Responsive" when i am connected to the internet..Please help. I ran a virus check (bitdefender ) no viruses were detetected.

Dec 6, 2011I'll try my best to explain all the issues clearly.from very above downto the third line are:IPv4 connection : not connected (Not OK, it wasn't like that)IPv6 connection : not connected (No public IPv6 connection in China, this is OK)Media State: connectedBut as you can see below, network is OK (Yeah, it seems that). The problem is, this ADSL connection is not showed in 'Avtive Networks'.Most online activities are OK, but somw applications like EA Origin are malfunctioned(I'm sure it is because of the problem in network connection)I've tried reset my winsock, LSP, netsh int ipv4,also reinstalled drivers. All above didn'you may wanna have a look at my Network and Share Center. Here it comes.Area 1 shows that there is no active networks except a 'unidentified network'(this refers to Local Area Conncetion. Since I don't neither have a router nor use LAN, that don't matter). When ADSL was OK, I got a active ADSL network there.

How To Use A ADSL Modem's Wifi With A Fiber Connection.
Aug 1, 2012I'm trying to achieve something which I think most might not have tried,starting with what I have
1.Type 2 adsl2+ cpe/iad modem-It has built in wifi.
2.A fiber internet connection.
3.A samsung smart tv with built in lan adapter (40 inch LED-no wifi but wifi ready)
Now the modem which I have mentioned above cannot be used with the fiber internet connection.So,it is just lying waste but I want to use my internet connection provided by my ISP through fiber connection with the modem so that I can use my modem's wifi and lan ports.What I have done was connected my laptop to my modem's wifi and also to my ISP's fiber connection so my laptop is connected to both the networks and now I have tried to establish a bridge connection between the lan connection and the wifi connection I was successful and I was also able to share my internet connection(as shown in my laptop) but when I have checked for the wifi internet connection it is not there(Checked on my mobile-one x and ipad).So is there any way so that I can do this...??Please don't suggest me to use a application like connectify or virtual router to share my fiber internet connection.Now there is a another thing that i have mentioned above my Samsung tv now I have connected one of my modem's lan connection to my tv and tried to use the all share application(my laptop is connected to the same modem through wifi) in my laptop I have found my tv and the laptop connected to the modem(Control PanelNetwork and InternetNetwork Map)but my tv is not at all recognizing my laptop and my laptop is also not finding my tv(in the allshare application).If my first problem of getting my internet to the modem's wifi is possible then I also want to try that for the modem's lan connection so that I can avoid the pain of buying a samsung wifi dongle which costs more than 10% of my tv's price.

May 6, 2009I am using the 7100 RC x64 and all was appearing great, however i am having a problem with its memory usage. After boot and in normal use it seemed fine, however i noticed first when i copied a 3gig file that the memory usage filled up along with it as it transferred but after the copy was complete the memory stayed full and as i type this now have 60mb free and it will stay like that until i reboot.
I rinsed and repeated and tried the same with an install involving large data files and again as it installed the memory filled up and after install completed the memory is all still in use (4gb btw). I looked on the internet and i cant see anything other than people saying how good its memory management is.
Additionally i am also seeing one of my cores at 90% (Duo). I have run malicious software tools and avast system scan and i have no idea where to go with this.
Prior to this i was running vista x64 with no problems at all, can anyone offer any advice?
Refresh Rates On LCD Monitors
May 21, 2009I just picked up a new monitor. It's a Samsung 2033 SW. 1600 X 900 with a 5Ms response time. It's only giving me one option. 60 hertz. Is this normal? My other one is very similar Samsung 932 BW+. 1400 X900 at 2Ms response. It's gives me a choice of 60 or 75 hertz.
I don't think it has anything to do with the video card or driver. Perhaps the driver for the monitor itself. I have the latest one from MS update for both monitors.
Also, how much does this matter. I have been told to go with the higher rate if possible. Do any of you know if this is the norm? Does it have to do with the difference in response time?
Network Drive Won't Refresh
Oct 3, 2012I am using 2 Windows 7 Professional 64 bit machines and 1 Windows 7 Professional 32 bit machine on a wired Ethernet network.
The network works very well with one issue. When I add a new folder on one machine and try to access that new folder from another machine the new folder does not appear. I must disconnect the network drive from the machine with the new folder then map a new drive. When I map the new drive the new folder displays in Windows Explorer on the second machine.
This is very frustrating when I want to add an email attachment file from another machine and it won't display until I disconnect and re-map the drive.

Nov 17, 2011I have 7, 64 bit, running on an HP and have been keeping pretty up to date on my drivers.amd a4 3300 processor with graphics card, and 4 g ram.When trying to use menus, the window or entire screen will seem as though it refreshes, closing the menu, i can watch the bar across the top of windows flash as if it had just disappeared for a split second and the menu is gone, leaving me to reopen it, but at a second or less between these refreshes I have to be quick on the pointer to get to what I want. It seems to happen on any menu item, including all drop downs, wether im right clicking a start menu pined item, a choice dropdown on a webpage, a setting dropdown, etc. it doesnt alwasys do this but more often than not. It seems like I can sometimes restart the pc and it will work, but it often will do it right at startup. I hadnt noticed it til I connected the VGA out AND the HDMI out to the same tv (dont know why I did it at the same time, I think to compare the cropping). Also, I used system restore to go back to before a bunch of updates and it seemed to fix it, but that might just be because the pc restarted in the process.

I bought a lenovo g550 laptop a few weeks ago.
it came with Windows 7, I have downloaded all the relevant Lenovo drivers and updates
and installed all of them!
My problem is that Windows 7 recognizes the screen as generic pnp monitor and doesn't let me change the refresh rate above or beneath 60hz.
My screen is flickering in the background and it is annoying as hell!!
is it because of the refresh rate or is it something else?
I cant find drivers for the screen anywhere !!!
CS 1.6 + W7 64 Bit + CRT Monitor Refresh Rate Issues
Nov 7, 2009I just installed Windows 7 64bit to try it out and so far its a pretty nifty change from xp, however if I can't solve this problem I'll have to change back to xp.
I have a 19" Samsung Syncmaster 957mb CRT monitor, the native desktop resolution is 1280x1024@85hz , but I run CS 1.6 in 800x600@100hz usually, however when I launch CS now, with the same launch options as I had in XP, the game starts up in window mode.
If i remove -freq 100 (forcing the monitor to 100hz) in launch options, it starts fullscreen in "800x600", however if i check my monitors OSD and look at the display timings, its tells me that the current resolution is my desktop resolution (1280x1024) and the same refresh rate, 85hz.
edit: To be short, the game is supposedly in 800x600, yet my monitor believes itself to be in 1280x1024?
Currently I can't find drivers for my monitor, so it only shows up as a PnP monitor, but this shouldn't be a issue, and my nvidia drivers are up to date.
