The problem with Windows 7 and an USB 3G modem is that everytime I use it it creates a new connection, and next time I plug the modem in it will be like "Internett Modem Connection 11" and in the connection list I got many of them, how can I prevent this issue? And can I delete some of them by any chance?

My laptop can connect to the router-modem but not the internet.Do my new modem have its own firewall?(I know my laptop firewall is running). Do i need to disable the firewall? If yes, which one should i disable, my laptop of modem.

The Connection was working about ten days ago and then suddenly stopped and read as an unidentified network no internet access. at one point is was not receiving packets but now it is but it still says no internet access on the IPv4 Connectivity. Media state is also enabled and the speed is 100.0 Mbps when i troubleshoot it says windows cant identify problem but in the details it says default gateway is available. when i use the cmd prompt ipconfig/all my local ethernet adapter has a physical address of all zeros.
I am trying to enable a new Incoming Connection but get a message saying "Incoming connections depend on the Routing and Remote Access service, which was unable to start".I have a standard 56K modem installed, using a telephone line.The computer is a stand alone system, running a local application where Internet access is not required.I do however need to access the PC from time to time and dialup is the only option.Is there a work around as it appears that Windows 7 needs to identify a Netork befor starting the Routing and Remote Access service?
View 1 Replies View RelatedBackground; home built computer 8gb ram all tested individually, 1.0tb hdd tested, popped in new 1.5tb hdd, tested power supply, 5 fans (no overheating issues), popped in new network card, tested disk drives.Computer runs Comodo firewall, Avast antivirus, and tune up utilities. I was online one day and 20 windows opened up at the same time computer rebooted bsod. that day computer rebooted about 10 times. at first i was able to go online but soon afterwards no internet connection (red X on icon).I tried to scan and the computer would reboot in the middle of scan (All different types of scans safe mode safe mode w networking normal). I was on the ph w a tech from avast for three hrs we ended the conversation by him telling me to internet provider, did that spoke w that tech for two hrs. I uninstalled avast. Every time the computer starts comodo message comodo does not seem to be started or installed. fix doesn't work. I kn it is my computer that will not allow a connection to internet. I cant release /renew rpc server unavail So I took out hdd and put in a new one to do a clean install no luck win 7 enterprise error 0x80070570, 0xc0000005, then it said 0x7717b099 ref memory at 0x774ae76f memory could not be written. I decided to put old hdd in and combat the problem. Message Diagnostics Policy Service not running.

1.Type 2 adsl2+ cpe/iad modem-It has built in wifi.
2.A fiber internet connection.
3.A samsung smart tv with built in lan adapter (40 inch LED-no wifi but wifi ready)

Everything is fine, for example I'm able to use a share mouse utility via the local network and control both computers with the same mouse. However once the network is swtiched on, my stick modem mobile 3G internet connection is shut down (the browser reports DNS name not resolved error). If I turn off the router the internet connection immediately returns. I tried to disable the firewall but to no avail.
View 1 Replies View RelatedA few days ago i was trying to connect my laptop to my ps3.To do this i was changing setting etc but never got it to work anyway.The next day i turn the computer on and can't connect to the internet.I think it was something to do with dns.I uninstalled and reinstalled my usb modem and software and always get full connection bars and says its connected, but in the bottom right hand corner it says network "no internet access" with a yellow triangle over it.It was because i was changing all of the settings in network and sharing senter, but being the wally i am, never wrote down the original settings. Whatever i did i am fairly certain i did it in the change adapter settings.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an Acer Aspire 5740G and for some reason it hasn't allowed me to install my new wireless internet usb stick. I have an older usb stick already installed that I use, but it won't let me install this new one which works fine on my PC.
When I plug in the usb stick it makes that beep beep noise to indicate it detects the device but when I go into my computer the device pops up and then suddenly disappears.

When I insert the Internet Modem USB Stick into my computer and then I wish to remove it, I really can't do so. View 3 Replies View Relatedmy newly built pc only connects to the internet when directly connected to the modem. when connected to the Linksys WRT54G, the internet does not work and there are no status lights on the ethernet port on my computer. however all other computers and devices, wired and wireless, all work with the router. my new computer is the only one that doesnt work with the router.
1. reset the router and the modem
2. updated all drivers
3. checked to make sure the cable is good and the port on the router is good (they're both good, i use this ethernet cord and router port for my xbox and it works fine.)
4. DNS and DHCP are enabled
5. i've worked on this crap for 3 days now so ive done a lot more trouble shooting than this, i just cant remember everything.
is it possible to make a VPN connection over multiple internet connection ? if this is possible then you can make multiple connection transparent to other applications running on ur pc.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am using a nokia E66 to connect to the internet at home. My pc at home is running windows 7 home premium 64 bit. I am currently using nokia pc suite 7.1.40.1. All the software installed without any problems. The problem that I am having is that after I connect to the internet, I can only roughly download / upload about 5MB of data and the connection will time out. I do not get any error messages that is did timeout. The only way I know this is that I stop seeing data being transferred in Network properties.
I then open my e-mail client to see If I can connect with a POP account and then I get an error saying it could not connect to the e-mail account. I then have to disconnect and reconnect and try again. This does not seem to affect web browsing though, only when I am downloading files. Like Steam will start update and stop, windows updates will start download and stop and so on.
I initially thought it was a problem with the network operator, but when I boot back in xp (my pc is set up to dual boot between xp and 7) every thing works fine. No download time outs. Is it the nokia software that is not supporting 7 100% yet or am I missing something else?

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy desktop (windows 7 ultimate 64bit) has been able to connect fine to the internet until I got home from work this morning. My laptop is connecting to the same modem fine through wireless (along with my wii). The modem I am using is Motorola SB 901. When I rightclick my connection on my desktop and hit troubleshoot problems, I get 'local area connection 2 doesn't have a valid ip configuration'. Same thing happens when I switch the ethernet cord to local area connection 1. When I go to control panel, network and internet, network and sharing, the connection map at the top stops between my pc and the network (which is now labeled as 'unidentified network'). Here is a list of what I have done so far to try and resolve the issue:
1. Replaced the ethernet cord with one I know is working
2. Full scanned my pc for viruses
3. Disabled all firewalls and virus protection programs
4. Restored my pc to a previous save state
5. Reset winsock with cmd via these prompts: netsh winsock reset catalog and netsh int ip reset reset.log hit
6. This attempt is unfinished as I am getting stuck. I am attempting to setup a static ip to attempt to resolve the issue, but when I open cmd and type ipconfig/all, the default gateway under my local area connection is completely blank.Here is what comes up with ipconfig/all:
