I have no idea what they are. Do I need them or can I just keep using the updated Firefox like I've been doing?

View 5 Replies View RelatedThis mandatory critical update was released today(April 25, 2006) at the Windows Updates site.Users of illegal or pirated copies of Windows XP - Microsoft announced that on Tuesday it will make Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) more bothersome than ever. A new update for WGA is now on the Windows Update website as a mandatory update. Once installed, your copy of Windows will be checked for validity.
If your Windows installation is found not to be genuine, Windows will display a message telling you that “This copy of Windows is not genuine.” Windows will check and display messages on every boot as well as once an hour (or so). The new WGA tool also puts an icon in your system tray if your copy of Windows is not genuine.

I am having a driver problem, which i find to be very weird. I cannot install, or uninstall a driver, nor can i disable on from device manager. When i try to do any of these I get either a "run DLL as an App has enountered a problem and needs to close" or if trying to do something from device manager, I get Microsoft Management Console has enountered a problem and needs to close. In the first case I believe the file was sysag.api in the second the file causing an error is mmc.exe.
View 5 Replies View Related First I'll describe what I intended to do, followed by me explaining my problems, and ended with my actual question.Intentions:Fixing my Master boot record file with a FIXMBR and removing my Ubuntu installation due to lack of usage, amongst things.
Merging the old Linux partitions space with one of my current NTFS partitions for the extra space (all above-mentioned partitions are on the same HDD, for the record). Would've done this with Partition Magic.
Is this something I should try through Fdisc or should I buy Partition Commander? I am learning a lot but don't understand all the ins and outs of the articles I have read concerning partitioning, yet.

This is the only printer connected to this computer, and the only computer connected to this printer. I have 3 spyware and 1 anti-virus program installed on the computer which are updated regularly and a scan recently showed no viruses and minor (usual for this computer) cookie spyware items that were either removed or "quarantined".Until recently (about 1 week ago) printer worked perfectly. Now, the printer still works perfectly for me (I have the administrator account), but will not print anything for my wife who has a limited account. Does not print for the guest account we have either.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have one of those IDE to USB cable adapters and it SOMETIMES is possible to mount an IDE drive through the USB port. I have a drive that successfully mounted through the USB port in the past but it won't mount now. I recall that even when it did mount with the adapter it was hit or miss. I would have to plug it into the USB port several times before it was recognized and came up as a USB drive.Does anyone else have experience mounting IDE drives using a IDE-to-USB cable? Are there specific drivers needed for this?
