Hooked it up to my HP 722 printer, set it up, made it the default printer. When I go to print, a page comes out blank. I tried Word, Notepad, Wordpad, and still nothing. It does however print from the internet with no problem.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI previously owned a Lexmark Z25 printer and up to a certain point, it was printing ok. Then it abruptly stopped printing any pages. It sounded as if it was getting the signal from the computer, but nothing would print. Rather than buy new cartridges, which would have cost more than a new printer, I bought a Dell 720. Now, the color prints fine, but I cannot get the black to print. The cartridges are just about full with only a small amount out of the black cartridge.

You can see that it says deleting but it just sits there and never goes away. Then you can't print anything else.You try shutting off the printer, rebooting the machine and it doesn't work.How the heck can you force this document to really be deleted and free up the printer?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell Inspiron 8500 with XP Pro that I am trying to connect to an HP Laserjet 4P. The 4P tests OK on a W-98 machine, so I know it and the cable are not the problem. When I try to print, I get no output, and a message that the document failed to print. I've tried Word, Notepad, and DOS, and no results. When I interrogate the printer from the print dialog box, it tells me that the Services Directory is unavailable. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the printer, and re-booting. The computer prints normally to an HP 3100 laserjet and a newer HP injet printer as well. I can't seem to find anything in the Help and Knowledgebase to tell me where to go. I did try following instructions to investigate the "printer permissions", but stalled out when I right-clicked on the printer and there was no "Security" tab anywhere in the dialog box as described.

I went to Add Windows Components, added Fax again and nothing happened. Went to Printers/Add Printer and let the wizard add a fax driver and it came up with a Microsoft Office Document Image Driver on LPT1. Fax Console still complains there is no fax driver, so I'm assuming that's the wrong printer driver.I'd like to force the install of a printer driver but I don't know what port it's supposed to be on and where to go to look for the driver.

On a 100 node network I have multiple printers with static IP?s. 1 certain printer, Marketdell, on port 172.16.2.156 is not able to be printed to from only 1 user. I have deleted the printer from the PC, shut down, turned on, Added printer opened notepad and tried to print, Can?t print.
I opened up printer and faxes, double clicked on the printer and could see the empty print queue. I then opened up Marketdell Printer Properties, clicked on print test page. Received error: Test page filed to print, would you like to view the print troubleshooter for assistance.

I tried restarting the print spooler and nothing. I checked the dependencies and both boxes are 'GREY' (closed) and show no dependencies listed.Im thinking I deleted some files or file required to operate the spooler/printer? Or is it possobly spyware or something causing this problem? I did perform a registry cleanup after the installation of the new HP printer.

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy printer has just started not to print all the full colours. It is an all in one HP PSC 1410 and now prints everything as either Yellow, Light green or light blue. I have changed both the colour and black cartridges and the computer is seeing them as full, but if I scan or print from computer it prints say the colour purple as light yellow and red as bright Yellow etc. I have tried removing and reinstalling software but that didn't cure the problem.

It works perfectly on three of the machines, but will not work on the fourth for some reason. It installs on a TCP/IP port just fine, and we can view properties and everything, but it will not print at all. I have no physical access to these computers, so cannot provide very much more information about them, but I'll try my best.

The flyover help says I can click on the icon to edit the signon information for
this page. However, when I click this icon, all I get is a dialog with the hightlighted fingers just telling me to use one to signon.Am I missing something? How do you edit signon information for a previously
