The printer is HP C5280 and I use Outlook. When I click on print it says I have a runtime error. It then says to Debug and says line 2020 unspecified error. At debug it now says it has an unknown exception. At this point I dont know what to do, my PC knowledge is minute.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI write a file in Word and then save it.Before I print it I usually go into Print Preview just to check things out.This time however it just showed me a blank box and the printer would not print.Everything was OK for a complete day and then the problem happened again - blank preview and no printing. This time switching off for 10 minutes and then back on had no effect.I have been trying most of today to correct things without success. I then copied it onto a floppy, put the floppy in my friends PC - same result as before
View 4 Replies View RelatedI previously owned a Lexmark Z25 printer and up to a certain point, it was printing ok. Then it abruptly stopped printing any pages. It sounded as if it was getting the signal from the computer, but nothing would print. Rather than buy new cartridges, which would have cost more than a new printer, I bought a Dell 720. Now, the color prints fine, but I cannot get the black to print. The cartridges are just about full with only a small amount out of the black cartridge.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen you start the computer it boots all the way to the login screen with all the users then you hear a clang from inside the computer then it restarts. It'll go into safe mode. I ran spybot and adaware from my thumb drive but they both couldn't fix all of the listed problems. Tried to do a disk check but it would stop due too "unspecified error". The hard drive is only a little over 6gigs with 15% free space(after cleanup from safe mode)Got it defraging now(gonna take all nite) Like I said this is an older machine as my g/f had one just like it and hers had windows 98 on it original. Not sure if my friend upgraded to xp or it she bought it like this. Says it was working fine up until a couple weeks ago.
View 9 Replies View RelatedRecently when my computer boots, chkdsk starts running automatically. Thats ok. It does step 1 0f 3, great, does 2 of 3, however when it is doing step 3 of 3 its freezes at some percent over 50% and gives the following error:
"An Unspecified error has occured"
NOw everytime i reeboot my computer chkdsk runs and the same error occurs. I need chksdsk to complete its check because i dont want chkdsk to run at the beggining of every reboot it takes to long.
I have an interesting situation. On a 100 node network I have multiple printers with static IP?s. 1 certain printer, Marketdell, on port 172.16.2.156 is not able to be printed to from only 1 user. I have deleted the printer from the PC, shut down, turned on, Added printer opened notepad and tried to print, Can?t print.
I opened up printer and faxes, double clicked on the printer and could see the empty print queue. I then opened up Marketdell Printer Properties, clicked on print test page. Received error: Test page filed to print, would you like to view the print troubleshooter for assistance.
Printer wont print THE printer normally prints fine but now it wont print atall the usb cable is in and the printer wont take the paper it just sits there
CONTROL PANEL> PRINTERS> OPEN and it says its printing just fine but it isnt Its in the front usb hub and tried the rear it dont make any differnence. The printer is on and its got paper etc etc.

Hooked it up to my HP 722 printer, set it up, made it the default printer. When I go to print, a page comes out blank. I tried Word, Notepad, Wordpad, and still nothing. It does however print from the internet with no problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIm running XP Professional, SP 2, on an Intel P3 1Ghz, 512 MB of RAM.I deleted my old Lexmark printer after I installed a new HP. Now my printer wont work. I tried restarting the print spooler and nothing. I checked the dependencies and both boxes are 'GREY' (closed) and show no dependencies listed.Im thinking I deleted some files or file required to operate the spooler/printer? Or is it possobly spyware or something causing this problem? I did perform a registry cleanup after the installation of the new HP printer.

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy printer has just started not to print all the full colours. It is an all in one HP PSC 1410 and now prints everything as either Yellow, Light green or light blue. I have changed both the colour and black cartridges and the computer is seeing them as full, but if I scan or print from computer it prints say the colour purple as light yellow and red as bright Yellow etc. I have tried removing and reinstalling software but that didn't cure the problem.

It works perfectly on three of the machines, but will not work on the fourth for some reason. It installs on a TCP/IP port just fine, and we can view properties and everything, but it will not print at all. I have no physical access to these computers, so cannot provide very much more information about them, but I'll try my best.

When I uninstalled and tried to reinstall it, I couldn't get it to reinstall properly. I used the original CD and I also downloaded a driver from dell.com. Neither worked. I tried to install a new Samsung ML-2010 printer. I used the included CD. It finished the install and when I tried to print the test page, it wouldn't print. It appears in the print queue as "printing" but never prints. When I reboot, I see a message on the system tray saying new hardware detected, there was trouble on the install and new device may not work correctly. I tried to do a repair from the enclosed Samsung CD but it didn't fix the problem. When it tried to print the test page, it said "not responding" in the blue bar across the top of the page

View 2 Replies View RelatedWe have two laptops and one wireless (HP Photosmart C7280) printer. Our laptops both connect to the internet wirelessly through a router. I was able to install and can print wirelessly from my laptop (a Mac) with no problems. However, we cannot figure out how to print wirelessly from my boyfriend's laptop (a Dell). We have installed the printer software and the printer itself on his laptop, and the laptop is able to identify the wireless printer over the network. We made sure that the printer is set to "online" and that file/printer sharing is turned on. But, whenever we go to print any kind of a file, we get an error message simply stating that the printer was unable to print and that we should run the troubleshooter. So, we run the troubleshooter, and we get this message:"The troubleshooter was not able to ping (detect a connection with) your print server. This might be the cause of the problem. Verify that your network is configured correctly and that you are connected to the network."
I am more used to working with Macs and my boyfriend is computer illiterate, so we're a bit lost as to what this means. I was able to set up a wireless network connection on his laptop, but beyond that I'm not sure what else to do. Most of the other advice I've seen online involves a wireless printer that is wired to one computer, and another laptop trying to wirelessly access that printer through the connected computer...if that makes any sense. Our printer isn't wired to anything, and we just can't figure out why it'll print wirelessly on the Mac but not on the Dell laptop. Any ideas?
My e-mails are not saving in drafts manualy or auto. I have just noticed the clock is out by 1 hour, although the time on the monitor is correct. How then can i correct this. Using XP2. Basic PC literate.
