I have just installed microsoft work 2004 when I go into excel open page up, I thing I want to know is that i want to produce 12 months on this spreadsheet how do i get it so each month is at the bottom of grid and I click on ones I want, I thing these are call sheets.

I can sort by school name and manually check all the people from one school but I would like to automate the selection.I want to know how to create my master form so that I list each person from one school on one page, then automate the switch to a new list on a new page each time the school name changes.

It claims that the built in CD burner program in XP will open if I click on file then backup. Nothing happens. Where is the built in Cd burner program? Dell was no help as was Quicken.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI just install SP2 the other day and there are a few fixes I need, I've gotten more of the compatitbility issue Number 1 is with Excel. When I open up any workbook it treats the left mouse button as pressed. So when I go to click on any cell is highlights it and tries to select an entire group. The only way for me to close the program is to use the taskmanager or right click the program on my start bar.Number 2 is WMP. Some video files I had don't play sound anymore and I have all the same codecs as before.

Now whenever I load Excel, it takes a minute to "install excel features". I would think one install of whatever features it is installing would be sufficient. Why does it keep installing the same features and how can I get it to quit doing this?I am using Excel 2003 on a Gygabyte GA-8IEX mother board with a Pentium IV 2.53 cpu.

All of the sudden when I go there to get updates, all I get is the option to click on Express or Custom. Then when it gets to the page where ya see the green balls moving across the page while its scanning my system to see if I need any updates, it just stays there and if I stay at that page too long, my PC locks up.
I'm running XP Pro with 500MHz and 256 in ram. I've tried to contact Microsoft tech guys that I can barley understand and they have no idea what's going on. It doesn't make any difference if its a fresh install of XP Pro with nothing else installed except for my wireless card so I can connect to the net, or the current system I'm running now.

I have used Windows install clean up, and have run a registry cleaner. I also have gone into the registry, and deleted anything pertaining to Quicken. No matter what I try, Quicken won't reinstall, because I can't uninstall the previous Quicken.

I then installed DOS 6.22.I began the win3.1 install and at the end of the second disk when it launches win3.1-Setup and asks for a Name and Company the Virtual Machine hangs. No mouse, no blinking cursor.I can right-Alt to shut down the VM. OK, so I though it might be the USB mouse and keyboard so I shut it all down and plugged in a M$oft PS/2 mouse and keyboard. Same problem with the win3.1 install. Not to be beaten, I went to another PC also running W2K-Pro. Exact same issue with win3.1. Not be be beaten again, again I installed VPC-2004 on an XP-Pro, damn me, same again at the end of the win3.1 second diskette. I have tried installing DOS and win3.1 onto a 486 machine and it installs fine so I doubt it is a faulty diskette.

After installation, Windows informed me that Norton would have to be reinstalled. I tried reinstalling it, but couldn't until the disabled one was uninstalled. When I tried to uninstall it, there were some files that the uninstall program couldn't find, so the uninstall failed. I need to know how I can get the disabled one off my system so that I can reinstall Norton again.

Trouble is, because Acer arent in ATI's list of approved venders or something, I cant install the ATI mobility drivers, OR indeed, the normal Radeon drivers. In the list of programs on the new Start menu was EXCEL.EXE, but the icon was wrong and when I clicked on it, it couldn't find Excel. I went to the properties of the link and changed EXCEL.EXE to Excel. It still not working, I deleted the link.Now whenever I click on an icon on my desktop, the system tries to open it with Excel. Apparently the change screwed something up, but I do not know how to get back to where I was before.

In 2000 when I had multiple workbooks open and used ALT + TAB there would just be one icon for Excel, now there's one for each workbook I have open. Just had 8 open at once so finding my way around is a pain, know there will probably be just a box to tick somewhere, but damned if I can find it! Anyone else know where to change this setting?

I had the Office XP installation disk "repair" the installation. there was no change. I tried MSWord. Help screen was same as in Excel - blank. I then tried to access Help and Support Center from the Start Menu. It would not open. I solved the probem by running the restore tool from the System Tools folder and setting the machine back to a time 1 week earlier, but I have no idea what would cause this issue. My machine uses ZoneAlarm Pro, Norton Anti-Virus, Sunbelt CounterSpy and is behind a router so I don't think it was the result of a malicious program.
