Close internet explorer on XP pro. The instruction at 0x020c3795 referenced memory at 0x01a5ad58 . This memory could not be read . click on OK to terminate the program. when i click ok nothing happens and problem occurs again next time.
The message I cannot get rid of is:- the instruction at "0x019c52el" referenced memory at "0x01fbfa38". The memory could not be read.Click on OK to terminate the program. I keep on clicking OK and each time the message returns but each time with different reference Nos,I have run my AVG antivirus and spyware, but no joy.I have to drag the error off screen to lose it, but still there.
My husbands PC won't boot.the welcome (but without the welcome messege) and then the following error occurs"The Application failed to initialize properly (0x0000142) click OK to terminate program"We have no idea what this could be (the only recent changes made to the PC is a wireless connection, which was set up almost 2 weeks ago, so i am thinking that this isn't connected to the problem now?)....or how it has happened. My husband has tried to boot in safe mode and the welcome screen appears (again without welcome messege) and goes no further.
I was doing something with task manager today and I saw that it's only reading 780 some mb of physical memory when it should be reading a gig. Is there anything I can do short of taking them out individually and putting them in different slots to test them? I have a 512mb and two 256's.
where it came from...and how it can be fixed??? It started about 3-4 days ago....only thing different about computer is that our internet was down for a bit due to a big storm we had...?The instruction at "0x014d3195" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read"I don't know if this is serious or not...but not a message I've ever seen before!
my computer is capable of reading DVD's and Cd's and i have also burned normal CD's with it,does that mean that i can burn DVD's too? like data DVD's? what program can i use?
I am trying to run a .exe file, but when i try to run it CMD pops up and then dissapears. Other than that, nothing happens. So, i tried using CMD to open the program, but then it says "Program too big to fit in memory". How can i fix this? I doubt that it's a RAM problem, the program is only 364 MB...
I recently downloaded the Indigo Prophecy Demo (Game) from fileplanet and when executing the installer a dos window would pop up and disapear real quick. So I ran the setup from command prompt and it ended up saying "Program Too Big To Fit Into Memory". At first I thought this was just a problem with this demo, until I tried to install the Starship Troopers Demo (Game) and it tried to install a third party audio system during install and hat installer did the exact same thing. I noticed that both of them appeared to Installshield brand and had the msi files with them. So I am assuming it's an issue with my computer
Windows XP Pro 1 gig Mem, I am trying to install AutoCAD 2000 LT and I get the message this program needs at least 3MB Virtual Memory to run. I've checked the virtual memory settings and they are at 1523 MB, I had an older computer (With XP) that I ran AutoCAD on before with no problem, so I know it's not the program.
I usually leave my computer on for a day as it has music and files that other users around the house may need. If I start up the computer for the first time in a day and come back a coule hours later the system takes a very long time to get out of the screen saver and continues to act very slowyl. When I press Ctrl+ALT+Del I see that a program called 'mixer.exe' is using 111,000+k of my memory usage. So basically my question is: what is mixer.exe? I think it is some type of sound program but I never use it.
I'm attempting to open the 'Google Earth' program, which I've downloaded. I've got a video card: SiS 650_740 but whenever I try to open the program in 'OpenGL' mode it comes up with an error notice saying 'SISGL Warning: Out of video memory. This program will exit'. I tried opening Google Earth with the alternate DirectX mode, but it froze.I've only got a couple of video emails on my computer, but not many.
I have a couple programs that Windows can't close when it exits (Win XP). So when I exit, I have to manually click the popup Window that asks to close the program without saving it or cancel. Is there a way to have Windows do that by default for that particular program (or even for all programs) preferably after some period of time of not making a choice?
Recently installed XP Pro. Since then a couple of older programs won't open and I can't load anything from the A drive without getting this er16 BIT WINDOWS SUBSYSTEM C:WindowsSystem32Autoexe.nt The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsft Window applications.Chose "Close" to teminate the applicationI found an earlier post that suggested going to
I just loaded a game on my pc and when i went to play it i got this error message C:windowssystem32autoexec.nt. the system file is not suitable for running ms-dos and microsoft windows applications. choose "close" to terminate the application. It has come up before and i can't figure it out
I have periodically had this problem: Program: C:Pogram FilesInternet Exploreriexplorer.exe, This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. Now I get it numerous times a day, and sometime IE-XP just shuts down for no reason. I apologize if this is a duplicate thread-got tired of searching.
I'm trying to terminate a process in the task manager, but the process keeps coming back. How can I stop it?pogisanpoloPosted from http://www.pcreview.co.uk/ newsgroup access
I am running XP. The system is crawling. When I do a Task Manager or Ctrl Alt Delete, the little green square is full up and this is with no programs running except Windows. I am using Finity Soft Memory Manager and this program says Free Ram 54%, Memory Load Index 44%, and CPU 100%. How do I find out what programs are running other than using Task Manager which shows no programs running?
I believe has to do with my Windows Installer. I've noticed that whenever I turn on my computer, this pop-up message from Windows Installer comes up on the boot up as Windows is done loading all of my programs. Also, this pop-up message comes up when I try to install certain programs, such as Blackberry Desktop Software, and then immediately terminates the install from there on out. The message says exactly as follows
When i go to start -> run -> CMD it comes up with an error message ( TITLE ) : 16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem (Message) C:WINDOWSsystem32cmd.pif Invalid program file name, please check your pif file. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application When i go to that address i dont seem to find the folder system32 for some reason ,anyway to get it back easily
im attempting to install an application setup.exe file and recieve the following message: 16 bit windows subsytem c:windowssystem32autoexec.nt. the system file is not suitable for running ms-dos and microsoft windows applications. choose 'close' to terminate the application.
Second of all my real problem is whenever i try to run programs like WinRar or Mozilla Firefox i always got this error saying Program too big to fit Memory.
So first i tried this:
Right click on My Computer > properties > advanced tab > Performance - settings button > Advanced tab > Virtual memory - change button > put a dot in "System managed size" hit "set" button - OK and re-boot.
I open the cd drive (for one of the CDs), double click on setup.exe, and get the following annoying message:
"The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application."
However, I also have the option of pressing ignore. When I do, it does the exact same thing as close So I really don't have a choice of opening the program. I really would like to use these CDs.
I have tried using the windows compatibilaty tool, but still the same thing happened. How should I get them to work? Also, old files I download from the internet also have this problem.
I recently bought Pink Floyd's, Dark Side of The Moon cd, and it is one of those new SACD "enhanced CDs". The problem is when i put it in my laptop and it didn't read, at all. The cursor has the little CD thing on it when i put it in, but nothing happens. I tried to play it by using the "run" feature on the start menu, a message popped up saying, "this disk is uncompatable with Windows XP". When i go through "My Computer is does not even show a disk being in the drive.
CD-RW and DVD-Rom stopped reading data on my CD's. They see the CD's but don't read the data, the CD's appear not to contain anything. I've posted the particular problem twice on this forum, but got no answer. For users experiencing the same or similar problems, I've now determined the cause... I've got a SAHARA USB 2.0 flash drive that came with a UFD-utility that enables one to configure the drive into a private and public area, enabling you to safeguard critical files. This utility causes this problem. Unfortunately I could thus far not find a solution, apart from uninstalling the utility and making do without this function. The flash drive works fine otherwise, not causing any problems. Only the UFD-utility does. I will see if I can find an update that resolves this problem and I will let SAHARA know about it.
My outlook is no reading my pst file. It says is has problems and tells me to use the fix tool. Do you know where can I finf it? what's the name of tool file?
In reading this disk as I have lot of useful data on it. I don't want to convert it into basic type as it will destroy the data. Will it solve my problem if I convert disk 0 - the 40 GB disk (system disk) also into dynamic type with NTFS file system (using Administrative Tools>Computer Management>Disk Management) ?
I woke up this morning to find something with my internet or windows is really messed up, but only on my computer, none of the others on my network have problems. When I go to a site like msn.com it shows nothing but a bunch of weird code, and on most other sites theres at the top of every page, and sometimes in the middle of pages there will be snippets of this weird code.
Only 2 tweeks were ever done to my OS WinXP SP2, Under "Performance Options" I changed "Visual Effects" to "Adjust for Best Performance", and also I added paging files to drive "C" and "D" setting them on "System Managed Size". My problem is memory/OS related... I've been running this PC with 1 gig [2-512Mb] of dual 266MHz DDR PC2100 DIM CL2.5 of RAM. Recently I started doing a lot of graphics work on very large files and kept running out of memory.
I removed 2-512 Mb boards and replaced with 4 matched, tested, 1 gig boards increasing my PC to 4 gigs. But it seems WinXP w/Service Pack 2 is having a problem seeing and allocating the 4 gigs, because I don't see the entire 4gigs in several places of my PC and I see less then 3gigs in available memory. With "Systems > Performance" running I noticed that when the window pops-up up saying ''insufficient memory'', there is still plenty of gigs of available memory left..............
Whenever I insert a disc for a game, nothing happens unless I click on the shortcut. This may not sound like much of a problem, but It is if I want to re-install a game. The same thing happens with game demo DVDs. I've tried entering D:setup.exe. into the Run box, as a game instruction manual told me to do, but it comes up with an error message:"D refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer, or on a network. Check to make sure that the disc is properly inserted, or that you are connected to the internet or your network, and then try again. If it still cannot be located, the information might have been moved to a different location."In the manual (which happens to be for Freelancer, but that's not important), it says "type D:setup.exe (where D represents your CD-ROM drive)". I don't know whether D is my cd-rom drive or not, how do I find out? Or can I just click "enable autorun" or something similar somewhere, and will this solve the problem? Also, this may or may not be related, recently, the button on my keyboard which closes the disc tray has stopped working, I now have to manually push the tray in (there's no button on the computer).
I tried to run pro tools one day and it couldn't read the audio fast enough. I tried running the def rag and it wouldn't analyze or def rag. I tried typing in stuff in the command prompt like i had seen on some websites and installing the def rag inf file but that didn't work either and i also tried disk keeper and it didn't start.
