Clipboard (No Copy And Paste) When Remotely Connected From Windows 7 To 8?

When remoting from a Windows 7 machine to a Windows 8 machine copy and paste do not function. I restarted the RDPClip service on both machines, this can be replicated on multiple machines (this is in work environment).
We are going to be deploying Windows 8 company-wide once we get little issues such as this sorted out. I'm curious whether something changed that might need to be implemented with our group policy. We did not have an issue with this before so it's definitely specific to OS.
I have an ASUS RT-AC68U router with 9 DBI dual band antennas. I need a program that allows me to copy and paste files to the external hard drives which are connected to the router's USB ports. An example of the application I am seeking is called "Silex Virtual Link", I need one like this, I used to use this 1 on my old D-Link DIR-825 router but it is not working with my new ASUS router and ASUS tech support couldn't solve anything.
Copy menu works ok, but unable to paste because it throws me back briefly to the Metro window. This behavior doesn't work consistently but I have to log out and back in in order to correct it. Even reboot doesn't work.
Note: this is the File Explorer, not the internet browser.
I'm using a Intel 520 SSD (the ssd has all OK SMART, almost empty, and no background programs running).
For example when i copy-paste a small folder on the SAME SSD but on different locations, let's say 50mb, (or some files 50-70-30mb) everytime i see the copy window appearing, says copying, etc.
And on Windows 7 on the same files copy-paste, that procedure was instant, no window appearing that says copying.
And even a 360kb file opens the copying window. I have a 3770k 4.5ghz, 8gb ram, 680gtx.
So it's related to Windows 8, due to no updates to improve performance ?
I can't use the native Windows 8 copy/paste. Copy works, but when I paste, I get the "waiting" cursor, then get dumped to the Metro screen. So far, the only way I can move or copy things is with CFiShellToys or TeraCopy, and I installed these only after the Native Windows 8 Copy/Paste kept failing.
I've already run SFC at the command prompt, and according the the results, all is well.
I checked the Event log, and here it is.

I have windows 8 - I had created a doc on facebook and find that I can not paste URLs into this document.
I have tried using Google Chrome, Internet Explorer 8 and now Firefox.
Eventually I managed to copy on all 3 servers but I could not paste into my document using any of them.
I have now got it to work on Firefox (after several goes)but Google Chrome is my main server (it works better for the things I do), and I believe it is a W8 issue, so how to paste URLs using W8?
I had to re-install Windows 8 and now when I select an article from IE on the desktop I can't Copy/Paste it either to Documents or a flash drive. There's no 'paste' on one and it's greyed out on the other. I have looked in past posts no luck.
I use to be able to copy ad paste but no longer can. I have treed with both MSIE 11 and Firefox 25. MSIE 11 does not work at all. With FF I found a work around by copying then at the site clicking on a little box that says Word or Plain Text. I then cv it and the message appears in this little box. it says it cannot work with my browser. Lastly I ok the little box and the message appears in the dialogue box it was meant to be in, in the first place.
Word had worked well in Windows 7, but now, after I moved to Windows 8.1 almost everything is messed up. Most annoying thing is the copy-paste function. When I try to copy something, it can't be copied to the clipboard and some weird cursor appears when I click where to paste. When I try to cut, the string is saved in clipboard and it works fine.
Also, when I run Word in safe mode, all the functions work fine (even copy-paste).
What should I do? I tried Office Diagnostics, but it shows 0 errors.
I was wondering if its possible to boot windows 8.1 remotely.
I know in previous versions of Windows, you can send a magic package and use the WOL feature, however as far as I know this doesn't work with windows 8 because of fast boot.
I have an aunt who runs a business who wants to be able to let the computer run over night at her business and let me access it remotely to do the usual disk cleanup, defrag, virus scans and backups. Currently I have to go on Sundays to do all this and it is just a pain to sit there and wait for the task to complete. I did have some of these automated but some how under the computer illiterate they always get messed up.
Is there a piece of software (preferably free) that will let me access her machine to do all this? It doesn't matter if I need her on the other end to grant me permission to access the machine but I would rather do this from home during the night then do all this on a Sunday.
I left my Dell Latitude 10 Tablet (Windows 8 x86) on the roof of my car ... and it wasn't there after returning from my short drive.
I know with Android you can remotely install applications and even out of the box you can just find the GPS location by going to the google play website.
Is there ANYTHING I can do now after the fact with Windows 8? Any way to remotely install, have microsoft track next time someone turns it on (since it's logged in via email address), or do anything?
If I connect to my VPN on my laptop as a remote dial in user from a remote location it works fine. I can access my IP camera and Dreambox satellite receiver by just typing in their fixed local IP addresses in my browser.
I can ping my desktop PC, BUT, I cannot access my LAN. Normally at home my laptop and PC connect on the Windows network automatically. I need to be able to access the PC on the VPN when away from home in the same way.
I have a fixed IP address with my ISP. Other fixed IPs are: Router IP 192.168.75.1 LAPTOP 192.168.75.13 PC 192.168.75.19
I have tried the Windows and Draytek VPN clients with the same results. I have ZoneAlarm firewall but the problem is the same if I disable it. Antivurus is AVG Free on laptop and Avast Free on desktop.
When I try to type the number 0 in the number keyboard, I get a pop-up saying cut, paste, etc. This happens in both my word processing program (WordPerfect) and also when I'm trying to type an e-mail. All other numbers are OK. I am able to type the number 0 when I use the regular keyboard.

I just bought a brand new computer and i am having trouble getting it to STAY connected to the wifi. It has windows 8 which i am not to keen on, and also know veery little about. It connects fine but after anywhere from 5-30 minutes it will go to limited connectivity. After this i disconnect from the wifi network and reconnect and the process starts all over again. I have tried many things in the cmd prompt as those have solved others with this or similar problems but to no avail. Also i changed the power settings not not allow the adapter to turn off. i am starting online college in 5 days and i need a reliable internet connection.
I installed Windows 8 on a separate drive from my W7. W7 works fine. Windows 8 appears to work fine.HOWEVER, when both drives r connected to the system at the same time and I try to boot Windows 8 the W7 drive gets corrupted such that the next time W7 is booted it must run CHKDSK.I did this on both a laptop and a desktop and get the same results.
When I have a powered usb hub connected, my windows 8 will not start. The same usb hub connected to xp or to windows 7 does not cause problems. But it does in windows 8. So I need to disconnect that hub and start windows 8 without it and connect it after windows 8 has booted. Said hub has two drives attached: 1 32GB and a 1 TB. How come Windows 8 cannot handle it?
So far I have noticed that if you leave the computer off for a while or change the hard drive to a different sata port it will work fine for a while then do the same thing.
Also I have done a full clean install with windows 8 and the same issue has occured a couple of days later.
I have a feeling its the hard drive going bad but how can i be sure? Some hard drive utilities have reported "end to end error - fail" but others have said there is no issues.
I have a problem with update. Last night I was connected thrugh VPN to internet and in this mood windows update get some update. now I can't download updates without VPN. I must conneced to vpn then trying to update otherwise I get error 80072EFD.
I am running Windows 8 on an Asus laptop. Two days ago it was doing updates and restarting. It did this 3 times, and on the third restart I received the blue error screen. It stated
"Recovery. Your pc needs to be repaired. A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed. Error code: 0xc0000225
You'll need to use the recovery tools on your installation media. If you don't have any installation media [like a disc or usb device] contact your system administrator or Pc manufacturer."
It gives me three options at the bottom [press enter to try again, press f8 for startup settings, press esc for uefi firmware settings]. If I press enter I get the same screen just with a bit more text. f8 does nothing. Uefi takes me to the boot menu. I have been trying to boot from a dvd r with a flash operating system in order to recover my data before it is reformatted. However, it does not seem to recognize the disc. When I select to boot from dvd rom, it tries, then on the black screen appears text saying restart and select boot device or install boot media and press a key. I tried taking disc out and putting bavk in, then pressing a key, nothing, same message.
Recently windows store on my windows 8.0 stopped working, when i try to browse it or any other metro app they doesn't work and the message on screen is:PC isn't connected to the internet..
I used the apps.diagcab solution but no way to go, it runs if i run Fiddler2. How to set a default status without loosing anything?
Why Windows 8.1 is giving me so many issues. My laptop is unable to stay connected to the wifi for long and sometimes I am unable to connect. My phone and tablet stay connected to the wifi while my laptop can't. I tried all the remedies for it and yet it has issues. Is it because I had installed spotflux and tunnel bear on my laptop?
I have to galaxy s2 one of of the can't connect to the pc and the other one can. The one which dosn't connect a messege pops up ( the last device you connected to this computer malfunctioned and windows dosen't recognize it.
yesterday i connected my windows 8 lap to net and was downloading a file from torrent. today morning when i got awake, i just shutdown my lap.. after some time when i switchon my laptop, it was working fine.. but whenever i connected to wifi or 3g net., windows 8 get stuck, and i am not able to open internet explorer or chrome. , it prompt me to shutdown using power button. ( not able to shutdown with charms bar) . i am able to open internet explorer/ chrome when net is not connected.
