When I turn on my laptop the wireless connection is disabled. I have to go through the trouble shoot function to enable the wireless connection. When I turn the laptop off, the wireless connection becomes disabled.

I have a weird issue with my wireless adapters. I will put my computer to sleep and then resume my work a few hours later, when the computer wakes up both wireless adapters are disabled and I have to go into adapter settings to re-enable them. My adapters are a netgear wna1100 usb adapter and an azio pci card adapter.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo, a long time ago i had wireless, but after a while it stopped working that well so i switched to a Ethernet cable. I couldn't connect to it because it wouldn't show up so i disabled the wireless and then it connected.Now back to reality..We now have fibre-optic so it's a lot faster so i tried to get my wireless signal back. Can't find it in the network and sharing centre, checked device manager as well. Have tried taking the Ethernet out to see if it would pop up but it hasn't.
View 2 Replies View Relatedi have this problem where the wireless wont work after the power has been turned off and then back on. they use a power box for the main pc, modem and router and turn it off before they go to sleep to save on electricity costs. usually, my fix is to unplug the router, turn the modem off.. turn it back on and the router back on. from time to time the wireless will work after the power has been turned back on, but its either very slow or the connection goes in and out. i'm sick of having to reset everything before i want to use my laptop.

At my wit's end on this one. After a system crash a couple of days ago I found that my audio and wireless were disabled. Tried to restart the services but got error 1053 with wireless and error 1068 with windows audio. Have done the following: Checked for any virus malware: Macafee AV, Malwarebytes, Spysweeper and Sptbot. Nothing found.Tried starting in services on many occasions. Same issue.Installed up to date drivers. Rolled back drivers to original versions. Same problem.Ran troubleshooter in windows 7. Received notices that the services were stopped but could not be fixed.Ran windows fixes from Microsoft site with the same result as W7 troubleshooter.Downloaded copies of dll files and replaced them in win/system 32. Same problem.Ran sfc /scannow found no issues. I have my ASUS backup disk(s) so I can install the OS again but I don't want to lose the software I have already installed.

WHen I check the card's status, it shows as "disabled". I change it to "enabled" and it works jst fine until the next boot (warm or cold).

i recently got an update from microsoft on win 7, and immediately after it had finished updating i had no sound in any application (aim, skype, chrome, firefox, Internet, etc.). this has happened before, and i ran microsoft's sound problems wizard and it always said that an option had been clicked off and that it had restored it.this time when i ran the wizard it says it detects no problems. i am sure it is the software, as it happens a lot with ms updates. will downloadi can't go back to a previous configuration, i don't have one to go to

When I just shut the lid and hibernate, it freezes as soon as it is opened and must be reset by holding down the power. When it is shut down and rebooted it takes an extremely long time to restart.

I look into the case and see that the red VGA LED is lit up on the motherboard. Whenever this happens, I take my GPU out and reinsert it, close up the case, power up and it works again.

I can't enable wake on lan on my computer. First I tried with an on board LAN cart then I added external cart - Intel(R) PRO/1000 GT.In the device manager I checked "Allow this device to wake up the computer" and "Only allow a magic packed to wake up the computer" for the network adapter.In BIOS I enabled the PME Event Wake up property.On my machine I installed a Magic Packect sender/receiver to check whather the packets can reach the computer and I see that the packets are received when I send them from my phone.But when the computer is turned off I can't wake it this way. Also there's light from my LAN cart, so I assume that is has power from the mainboard when the computer is turned off. My mainboard is Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3 and the operating system is Windows 7 32bit.

Research on the internet has shown that the computer, although seeming to shut down may still be running in the background. It doesn't matter what program I try to execute, I receive the same error message. I am also unable to start internet explorer on that computer. I turned the computer back on and the internet wouldn't work at all! I reinstalled windows 7 again, and this time I didn't do any updates. I went to the device manager and selected the Atheros AR5007 driver and selected "update". Halfway through, the computer gave me BSOD. I rolled back the driver to previous version and all works well now.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am on Windows 7 x64. Today I turned my computer on and it stopped at the "Windows Error Recovery". From the 2 options given I chose "Start Windows Normally". After pressing Enter it will not go beyond the black screen where it says "Starting Windows" and immediately reboots to the "Windows Error Recovery" again. I then chose the other option which is "Launch Startup Repair", entered the Disk, wait for it to load system files but it reboots to the Disk loading the files again like an eternal loop. Tried the F8 Advance booting options, chose "boot in safe mode with command prompt", it starts loading but then it reboots itself again!!

I have a computer which, every time it's restarted or turned on, the network icon always had that exclamation point, and it can't connect to the internet. All it needs to do is an IP config release/renew, then disable then re-enable the adapter, and it fixes itself. But upon reboot/restart, it happened again!
