Medieval 2 Total War Kingdoms Wrapper Too Old Error
Jan 1, 2013
It says 'The wrapper version of SecuROM is too old, it can not be used with this version of the API. Please protect the application with the latest version of SecuROM!' I've updated Kingdoms to the latest update and tried reinstalling and uninstalling but nothing happens. It's only Medieval 2 Total War Kingdoms and not the original Medieval 2 Total War.I've also installed the SecuROM diagnositcs tool but that fails every time I try it so now I've run out of ideas except that I think the data on the disk may be screwed even though theres no scratches on the disk.
I'm trying to install Java 7 & I keep getting this error:installer : wrapper.createfile failed with error 5: access is denied?I have uninstalled all previous versions of Java, tried installing as administrator... Nothing is working.
I recently had BSODs and freezes.I was under the impression these were related. I found that the BSOD was a driver related to a logitech camera, which i ahve unistalled.I have since completed accidently stumbled upon "summary page events" in event viewer and have noticed all these errors were when ive been having these complete system freezes. [code] I ubilt my own PC. It is not overclocked and it runs very coolIm having 0 bsod's at all!
Under my Windows 7 performance information it is listed that I have 2.5 Gigs of usable RAM even though I have 4 installed. I think this is because I have 1.5 GB of graphics memory but I don't fully understand what that is. I also don't understand the difference between the listed "dedicated graphics memory(512MB)" and the "shared system memory" that I guess make up the 1.5 GB I'm "missing".I was thinking of installing a 64 bit version of my OS to take full advantage of my installed memory and I think my system is fully capable. I just need to have the right processor and enough memory to make it worth it correct? I assume my motherboard is capable if it is using a capable processor.
I can't run Empire Total War full version.I've tried with compatibility modes and "run as administrator", I reinstalled directx and I installed the last drivers of Nvidia.
Me and my friend go this virus two days apart, and she'd been able to fix it quick within the day, I'm still having problems.I see fixes for it using MBAM, which I've tried. It's installed, but no mater what, I can't run it even if I name it mbam.com, or anything of the sort. Also, my computer won't go into safe mode. I can run it normally, but when I press F8, I can pick to boot off my SARA, or my CD Drive, but piking either of those just takes me to system restore, where I wipe my hard drive which I"ll only do if it's a last resort.
one day it just shut down and would not startup any more, it goes straight to startup repair and fails and loops this. i have fixed this issue before, with bootrec tools on the 7 CD, but this time it wont do anything, no matter what i try it tells me "total identified windows installations: 0"does anyone know what to do, other than a fresh install, since i have hundreds of gbs of music and movies not recently backed up, and lots of work on the drive i cannot lose.
i have Intel HD Graphics on my core i3 in dxdiag in display section, there is an approx.total memory 763mb i want to play PES 2011,but in PES 2011,the vram is just 128 mb read on PES can it changed ? and how to change it?
After windows 7 updates last wed I had to reinstall windows 7 (64bit) as system restore wouldn't work. I now want to restore my outlook 2010 to its original state. My hard drive was backed up to a cloud storage company and I am now downloading my outlook files. There are around 10 files ending in .pst and another 4 in the form archive1.pst etc.can I merge all the into one outlook.pst file and one archive file?
I've had multiple BSOD over the past week. It seems most common when I try to play Total War, but it has also happened while I'm on the Internet as well. I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit Installed OEM and my laptop is about 1.5 years old.
Note that this is the beta software and comprises ONLY Anti-virus and firewall protection.
McAfee Total Protection suite is now available supporting Windows 7 Beta version 7000 only. If you would like to test our software using Windows7 please uninstall your current MTP suite prior to upgrading to or installing Windows7 then reinstall our software. The MTP suite for Windows7 includes MSC, VirusScan and Personal Firewall only.
In addition Maintain Computer and Manage Network are also disabled for this initial MTP Beta with Windows7 Beta version 7000.
With the recent update released Feb. 13, you will notice that Maintain Computer and Manage Network features are missing. We are currently verifying our products to support Windows 7 Beta, and have released a condensed version of our MTP suite with this initiative.
Maintain Computer and Manage Network are currently under such verification and will be enabled once complete. If you wish to test running Windows 7 Beta, you will need to uninstall your current McAfee Beta products, install or upgrade to Windows 7 (upgrade from Vista only), and then reinstall our condensed suite of MSC, Virus Scan and Personal Firewall only. Products will be enabled as we continue Windows7 supportability verifications.
My windows has crashed so I have nothing just a black screen (except I could get internet from task manager and so can write this). I can't even run my symantec or other systems to do a virus check/repair because I can't access them on the computer. What can i do?
One of my friends is giving me a disk to install mc afee totoal prtection 2013 because he says u can install it up on three computers. he says its good because its paid and better than free ones.is it good. if not, what free virus protections are good
My brother has a desktop that will barely even turn on because of a virus. Could you upgrade it to Windows 7 and if you could what would happen? I didn't know whether to put this in the Vista forum or the Windows 7 forum...
I mapped a few network drives to different shared folders on my EX485 with the inital 750GB drive installed. Since then, I have installed an additional 2x1TB. However, in Windows 7 it is showing 1.18TB free of 678GB, so it recognizes the correct free space, but is still showing the old HDD total. I've removed the mappings and readded and rebooted both my PC and WHS with no luck.
When I marked a whole folder or a couple of files in Windows Explorer in Windows XP then the sum/total size of all marked files is (was) shown in the status bar in the bottom of the WinExp window.
why does shrink volume only display 350gb available to shrink out of a total of 703 gb on (C drive? the Hewlett Packard is fresh out of the box. it was partitioned with 200MB system files, the 703GB partition contains 25GB of files, 150MB partition unallocated. a (D drive HP created for emergency (nice feature). any suggestions on what to do with 150MB since it is so small (mb). windows 7.
To start, I have Windows 7, on Sony Vaio laptop. I have been working on the issues with the malware removal team, but now machine looks clean, I am still having issues. When starting the computer and going to the task manager, I can watch explorer.exe start at about 18K memory usage and then grow constantly until it is running with almost all of the computer's physical memory after about seven min. I cannot get the context menu to show up after a few min by right clicking on anything. I had been experiencing "freezing" while playing Eden Eternal (an online role playing game) before that, which made me consider malware and seek help here at BleepingComputer. The freezing has ended, last time I played on that machine at least, but now there seems to be some issue with the explorer.exe taking all of the memory. I haven't been using the machine since I don't trust that there's not something running in the background that shouldn't be. In resource monitor there were "connections" that had "-" for both the name and the PID, but I don't know if that was the malware of if that's normal somehow? Issue with explorer.exe seems to be limited to only one user account, and not the other one. That is to say that if I log on one of the other accounts explorer.exe behaves normally, as far as memory usage.
i recently got a computer from my aunt, and decided to put windows 7 on it. Before I installed it, I put in a Geforce 8800 graphics card and a (2nd) cd rom drive. After 20 failed attempts to install windows 7 (it kept freezing at the completing installation part) it worked after i disconnected the new graphics card and one of the hard drives. Now, however, i keep on getting periodic blue screens with the following error messages : Memory Management, and PFN_List Corrupt. I ran a memory diagnostic and it said that the memory is fine. What is wrong with my computer? I also ran a system repair thing from the windows 7 disk, and it came up with this error: System File Integrity Check and Repair Error Code 0X490
My Hardware is:
AMD Anthlon 64 x2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ 2 Hitachi HDT725032VLA SCSI 320 gb hard drives Nvidia Geforce 8800 GS Graphics Card 3gb of system memory
when i click format a 150 gb partition space in disk management option i recieved the following message "An unexpected error has occurred. Check the System Event Log for more information on the error. Close the Disk Management console, then restart Disk Management or restart the computer". and the drive does not appear like other drives in MY Computer?
I have already reported to Sony to but i heard their take their time but thats the one thing what i dont have at the moment so i know many people here know about that stuff to. So anyway. Some time ago SP1 launched for Windows 7. I installed but it but something went it wrong and it didn't install correcly and then i was forced to use System restore. Everything worked and i haven't used SP1 because i don't want to risk screwing up my computer before some important things, i got plenty of time later for that . The problem is after the system restore every time Vegas launches i get a error : Sony Vegas pro 10 an error occurred starting Vegas Pro Error 0x80070002 (message missing).
i have a toshibio satelite model # psc16c02q00m, I've tried to reformat my computer, i have the back up Disk and when i started my computer i press F12 to get the boot bios where i made it boot from disk putting my back up cd#1 into there. it was working fine till i put in disk three, from there i got a F3-F200-002 Error said an error has occurred please press OK to turn off the computer. and that is the only option. ive tried repeating the process but now all i get to is this screen even when i try to but off the hard drive im assuming my windows has been cleaned.
Recently whenever I've used an .exe installer I'll get an error as soon as I click start after choosing the directory, in the picture example I include below, it's of SA-MP, but it happens with any installer I try and use. Installers have worked previously, it's only recently it's stopped working. The error is;Error opening files for writing?
What I've tried;
-Full system scan with Comodo AV.
-Revealed hidden files and folders.
-Run the installer in both compatability (Even though it does work on Windows 7, and as an Administrator).
-Also done the scan on CMD (can't remember exact command).
I am trying to run a certain program and it worked previously for a few days, and then today all of the sudden its giving me this error. Is this a windows thing I can try and fix? Or is it program specific (this program doesnt have much support unfortunately)
I recently re-installed windows and am now trying to install the DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010). All goes well, it installs everything, but as it finished I get this error: I have tried redownloading, using other installers and updating my graphics drivers. Nothing will work. It's probably worth mentioning that the first time I tried installing, about a week ago, my computer totally froze in the middle of the install and I had to force restart.
I am having difficulty with drivers on my Acer Aspire 5253 system using Win 7. It is a couple months old. Within the last month, I have been getting random blue screen of death error messages in which the computer shuts down to prevent damage. The computer boots up fine without any problems. The blue screen that I see contains the same information each time.
I have Windows 7, Live Mail. Mail with attachments come in with no problems, like photo attachments, but my mail will not go out with photos attached. They are not huge files. I get an error message "error/tasks" but then that screen freezes.
Just installed windows 7 about a month or so ago, running great, only every now and then if my system is idle and I wiggle the mouse to make it come back on , it just reboots automatically[CODE]
