Error 0x8007003B: An Unexpected Network Error Occurred?

Aug 11, 2010

I recently switched out an older Netgear router for the Netgear WNDR3300. I have a 1TB WD MyBookWorld connected via ethernet to the router. Ever since the router switch I have been having two specifice issues:While uploading videos to Facebook, the video will upload anywhere from several MB up to over 100 MB, then stall, saying it's still uploading but trust me, it isn't. I can copy files/folders from the networked hard drive to my computer flawlessly, but when I try to copy files/folders from my computer to the networked hard drive, it copies anywhere from a few seconds to maybe a couple minutes then stalls out, giving the error message: "Network Error. There was a problem accessing [\SERVERFOLDER]... Make sure you are connected to the network and try again." with Retry, Skip and Cancel. When cancel is pressed it gives: "An unexpected error is keeping you from copying the file. If you continue to receive this error, you can use the error code to search for help with this problem. Error 0x8007003B: An unexpected network error occurred.

Other useful information: on the new router, the WNDR3300, if I use WEP security, I can copy files/folders to the hard drive, no problem. However if I try to use WPA/WPA2, the abovementioned problems occur. I would use WEP and just forget the hassle, but WPA2 is much faster and more secure, so I really want to get this fixed.I also believe the two problems are somehow related, considering they both involve working for a few seconds to a few minutes, then stalling and failing. Could this be somekind of authentication or something to do with WPA/WPA2 that I'm doing wrong?

An Unexpected I/O Error Has Occurred

I'm trying to install windows 7 onto my HP 6710b laptop. But keep getting same error come up. (this also happens with 2 older hp laptops I have!) From start of boot with disc I get the following... Windows has encountered a problem communicating with a device connected to your computer. This error can be caused by unplugging a removable storage device such as an external USB drive while the device is in use, or by faulty hardware such as a hard drive or CD-ROM drive that is failing. Make sure any removable storage is properly connected and then restart your computer. If you continue to receive this error message, contact the hardware manufacturer.

Cannot Reinstall Windows 7 - An Unexpected I/O Error Has Occurred

Aug 23, 2012

It doesn't have a recovery partition so I've burned the ISO and planned to use the Key on the OEM sticker on the bottom of the machine. However, when attempting to boot from the DVD I burned (got the ISO file from mydigitallife.info) the screen shows me the "Windows is loading files" then immediately gives me the following error.Windows has encountered a problem communicating with a device connected to your computer. This error...

Status: 0xc00000e9
Info: An unexpected I/O error has occurred

I ran chkdisk /f with no bad sectors...I am at a loss here? I've also run AVG's Rescue CD to second check my guess that the hard disk is fine. I am not 100% sure that the CD drive is perfect, but also haven't had any issues running anything from the CD while in Windows either that I know of?

File:\boot\BCD Status: 0xc00000e9 Unexpected I/O Error Has Occurred

Dec 23, 2011

I have had an HP Envy 14-1110nr for just under a year now and suddenly it has been giving me problems the last few weeks. It started with a couple of hangs or random crashes over the first week. After 2 or 3 of those, the computer simply wouldn't start up. Every time I would turn the laptop on, it would get to a certain part, give me the following error and then restart, over and over.

"File:\boot\BCD Status: 0xc00000e9 unexpected I/O error has occurred

Nothing seemed to be working, and then finally last night I started getting errors from just about everything saying that my HDD was rapidly failing.SMART HDD Error 301 Intel Rapid Storage Technology gives me a warning saying something is wrong with the HDD.Microsoft also gave me an error saying that the HDD is at risk and to back up my files immediately. After doing one final test I was able to get the boot problem solved, at least it seems to be fixed for now but the errors are persisting. Could all of the errors that I'm getting because of that boot or is the drive really broken? Chkdsk shows absolutely nothing wrong with the drive at all, no bad sectors, nothing. Could it have something to do with the boot error that I was getting before or is it likely really damaged? The HDD in question is a Samsung HM640JJ 640GB.

Event 41 Kernel Error - Windows 7 Rebooted After Unexpected Shutdown

Nov 12, 2012

I am running a 3 year old Sony Vaio, Win7 Sp1, home edition and recently it has been shutting down randomly (not restarting) when I am running games (99% of the time I am on the laptop is when I am running games So I cannot say if this shut-down issue will or will not occur if I just kept the system idle). I have never had this problem until a few days ago when I experienced a BSOD (which happened to me before so I thought it was no big deal), and from that point my laptop began to shut down randomly (just crashes, no BSOD), sometimes within a few minutes, sometimes after a few hours of use.

"WhoCrashed" failed to generate any reports (I ran the crash test, it works fine) and after checking my computers event viewer, there was multiple occurrences of the "event 41 Kernel, Windows was rebooted after an unexpected shutdown" critical error. I browsed the internet looking for possible causes of this, and have taken the following actions:

1. Sending in my laptop for repairs (new thermal paste and heatsink cleaning), the core temp when running games tops out around 60-65C which is nowhere near the level needed for a overheat shutdown
2. Testing my GPU temp, (around 50-60C) once again no where near the level needed for overheat (I am running a Nvidia Geforce GT 330M with updated drivers)
3. Multiple Chkdsks
4. Checked system, power, performance, battery etc with Vaio Care
5. Tested it unplugged and plugged on battery
6. Toning down my power plan's maximum processor usage, changing system cooling policy
7. Reinstalling service pack
8. Cleaning out registry with CCleaner
9. Planning on doing a memory test

After all this, the problem still occurs. I am not sure if it is a hardware problem or something else I am probably going to do a repair install on WIN7 to see if that will fix anything.

All goes well, it installs everything, but as it finished I get this error: I have tried redownloading, using other installers and updating my graphics drivers. Nothing will work. Error: System File Integrity Check And Repair Error Code 0X490

Jun 28, 2011

i recently got a computer from my aunt, and decided to put windows 7 on it. Before I installed it, I put in a Geforce 8800 graphics card and a (2nd) cd rom drive. After 20 failed attempts to install windows 7 (it kept freezing at the completing installation part) it worked after i disconnected the new graphics card and one of the hard drives. Now, however, i keep on getting periodic blue screens with the following error messages : Memory Management, and PFN_List Corrupt. I ran a memory diagnostic and it said that the memory is fine. What is wrong with my computer? I also ran a system repair thing from the windows 7 disk, and it came up with this error: System File Integrity Check and Repair Error Code 0X490

My Hardware is:

System Keeps Restarting Event Log: Critical Error - Event ID 41

Dec 10, 2009

Problem:

Computer rarely restarts during the time I am using it. It restarts if I leave stuff downloading overnight or if I leave on during the day. I then have to re-install any software I installed the previous time because it says it was shutdown improperly ( CRASHED).

I then check the Event logger and see it has multiple crash reports.

Shows as
Level: Critical
Source: Kernal-Power
Event ID: 41
Task Category: 63

I show 20 of these crashes so far and I just built the system yesterday. I need help in determining what could be causing this. The motherboard? Old Videocard? Windows 7? 64 Bit platform? Any thoughts?

I just built a brand new i7 920 System.

Wi-fi - "An Unexpected Error Has Occurred"?

Mar 27, 2012

I am trying to configure a wireless network on my desktop pc. I am using a IOGEAR Wireless-N USB 2.0 Adapter. The drivers are the latest ones. No wireless networks are showing up. Whenever I try to manually connect to a wireless network, I receive the message "an unexpected error has occurred". I am unable to troubleshoot it or continue. At first i thought it may be the adapter, but it works fine on other computers. I also tried a different adapter with the latest drivers installed; same problem. I tried a direct connection, and I am able to connect perfectly. It's solely a problem with the wireless and thus it leads me to believe that windows 7 is the problem. I'm running 32 bit windows 7. (the drivers are 32 bit for the adapter). Tried a fresh install as well. Same issue.

Error During Restore. "An Unspecified Error Occurred During System.."

Dec 23, 2011

"an unspecified error occurred during system restore (0x8000ffff)"I made a restore disk on my 64bit Windows 7 desktop for my 64bit Windows 7 laptop because windows stopped loading. Now when I try different restore points I get the same problem. Should I make a new disk? What else could I try?

Quote: I have a normal stock dell desktop with windows 7. I borrowed my grandmothers laptop. It is an Acer Aspire 5736Z-4790 w/ an Intel Processor. Last night after trying to install some files to make some cheat programs I use for an online game (I have loaded same programs 10x on other computers so I doubt its related to the programs themselves) One thing I did do was try to delete a winhttp.dll file in system32 or the WOW one(for 64bit computers? Forget the folders name)and replace it with another one(Directions for the cheats said to make sure that winhttp.dll was in sys32) and while trying to do that windows would not let me so I read somewere that there is a program that lets you "take ownership of a file" so you can override permissions. I then took ownership of sys32 and maybe the 64bit folder as well. It still did not let me replace any files in sys32 so I then restarted and when windows opened again, desktop loaded then an error message came up, then it restarted itself, and repeated, but after the second time it restarted itself windows would not load. After the Acer manufacture screen, just the blank black screen with the blinking line.I have tried everything, cant seem to figure out how to even get it to open in safe mode. Only thing I can think of would be to use the restore disk which I dont have. Is there a way to legally make a restore disk on another PC to be used on the broken laptop?

Unexpected Error On Multi-boot System

Aug 23, 2009

I'm attempting to do an upgrade/update install of Windows 7 Professional over Vista Business. My system is multi-boot with the first partition for Windows XP Professional, the second with Vista Business, and the third and fourth with OpenSuse Linux. I'm trying to upgrade/update the Vista partition. SP1 has been installed for Vista, and all of the updates contained in SP2 have also been installed.

Installation Not Successful An Known Error Has Occurred Error 0x8008095

Jan 14, 2012

I have tried to install Windows 7 SP1 64 bit and it gave an error message of: windows update encountered an unknown error code 80246007. I also get the error message after my laptop restarts if the installation shows it supposedly installed: installation not successful an uknown error has occured Error 0x8008095. I have also tried the 3 steps to try before installing Windows 7 SP1 and I still get the above errors.I would like to know the following:

1. When we update Windows where does it store the updates. Because I noticed that each time I update I loose disk space and I am wondering if I could delete these updates once I know they work.

2. I noticed a folder in the color of purple. It is: c:userusernameApp Datalocalmigwiz in this folder it contains the following files: debug.txt, diagerrr.xml, diagwrn.xml, miglog.xml, setupact.txt, setuper.txt what is the folder for.

3.I use windows disk cleanup and ccleaner. I noticed that when you install or uninstall programs it creates a restore point and shadow copies. I clean them out once a month. Is there anywhere else that shadow copies are created and can be deleted. How about does Windows 7 has a cache where we need to delete files. How many temp folders does windows 7 create. I would like to retain some disk space back. Do you know if Office 2010 where it stores it updates and can we delete them once we know they work.
