McAfee Total Protection suite is now available supporting Windows 7 Beta version 7000 only. If you would like to test our software using Windows7 please uninstall your current MTP suite prior to upgrading to or installing Windows7 then reinstall our software. The MTP suite for Windows7 includes MSC, VirusScan and Personal Firewall only.
In addition Maintain Computer and Manage Network are also disabled for this initial MTP Beta with Windows7 Beta version 7000.
With the recent update released Feb. 13, you will notice that Maintain Computer and Manage Network features are missing. We are currently verifying our products to support Windows 7 Beta, and have released a condensed version of our MTP suite with this initiative.
Maintain Computer and Manage Network are currently under such verification and will be enabled once complete. If you wish to test running Windows 7 Beta, you will need to uninstall your current McAfee Beta products, install or upgrade to Windows 7 (upgrade from Vista only), and then reinstall our condensed suite of MSC, Virus Scan and Personal Firewall only. Products will be enabled as we continue Windows7 supportability verifications.
Windows 7 2011 Total Security Fix
Apr 9, 2011Me and my friend go this virus two days apart, and she'd been able to fix it quick within the day, I'm still having problems.I see fixes for it using MBAM, which I've tried. It's installed, but no mater what, I can't run it even if I name it mbam.com, or anything of the sort.Also, my computer won't go into safe mode. I can run it normally, but when I press F8, I can pick to boot off my SARA, or my CD Drive, but piking either of those just takes me to system restore, where I wipe my hard drive which I"ll only do if it's a last resort.

i tried to use TDSSKiller like what someone here once told me but the scan took about two minutes and said no threats found. i scanned like 5 times and no luck.
i not too experienced with safe mode. will avast free, malwairebytes antimalwaire free and super antispyware free remove the virus?
whenever i access the internet , the avast program pops up and says avast network shield has blocked a harmful site and then it says the object is the site im on which is mostly yahoo email , facebook, yahoo answers. , and that the process is the internet i use which is google chrome or firefox. the thing is i only use mostly email, yahoo answers, and facebook on my pc so i doubyt those sites can give a virus. are they related to the av installed on my pc. this pisses me off cause the notice takes up a good portion of my monitor

Unable To Partition - I/O Operation Has Been Aborted
Jan 6, 2010I have a seagate FreeAgent Desk that i partitioned a 50GB partition and formatted it to HFSj for my mac. Now when i try to delete it under disk managment, it doesnt work. It says
The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request. What does that mean and why cant i partition it back to the 1.5 TB (Delete the partition)
Also iv tried EASEUS Partition Master, that wouldn't work either. It would say it worked, but when its done, it doesnt say unallocated, it says Other for the file system.
Backup Aborted By Host Thru Usb Share
Sep 7, 2009I have a desktop(Chuckles) which has 2 external drives connec6ted by ussb ports 2.0. The weekly backup is copied to my W.D. my book 500gig drive with absolutely no problems. This is an old HP Pravillion 600mg memory and 250gig segate internal H.D.
My second machine is an IBM t42 laptop 40 gig hd and running Windows 7 ultimate build 7100. The backup goes to linksys router(wired and wireless) from the router to desktop(chuckles) and to USB port to Seagate external drive 160gig.
Partway through the backup the backup fails. error network connection aborted by the local system(Chuckles) Backup Failedn error code 0x80070404.
I have tried this laptop backup three times. All drives shared and goup name same on both machines.
What is going on?

Jun 23, 2012I decided to give my acer aspire 5515 to my stepson, so i was reinstalling windows 7 on it and it accidently aborted before finishing installing. Now when I put my disc in it doesn't read it and never repairs it, never completes it, just keeps rebootiing. I have tried set up default settings, system repair, but nothing works.

Nov 15, 2012I had a perfectly working 250GB SATA HDD that I tried to clone to a 1 TB SATA HDD. I used EASEUS's free disk copy software. The clone said it would tas the one being cloned and not written to. The cloned drive had the data on it, but it was just corrupted because the clone never finished. I tried to get into recovery console from the Windows 7 CD, and it kept sayike about an hour and 20 minutes, and I read that it would be quicker, as all the free space would not need to clone over sector by sector. I aborted so that I could use different software that would quick clone. Anyway, afterwards, neither HDD would boot. The source drive should boot, as all it wang it was the wrong version. Basically the program screwed up both my hard drives.
Finally, I was able to get into a UEFI recovery console that allowed me to see that the cloning program somehow changed my partitions into GPT. The source hard drive is all intact, and I'm pretty sure the only thing that is screwed up is the partition types and perhaps the boot record. Is there a way I can edit the partitions to make them back to normal and bootable again?

Oct 11, 2011Under my Windows 7 performance information it is listed that I have 2.5 Gigs of usable RAM even though I have 4 installed. I think this is because I have 1.5 GB of graphics memory but I don't fully understand what that is. I also don't understand the difference between the listed "dedicated graphics memory(512MB)" and the "shared system memory" that I guess make up the 1.5 GB I'm "missing".I was thinking of installing a 64 bit version of my OS to take full advantage of my installed memory and I think my system is fully capable. I just need to have the right processor and enough memory to make it worth it correct? I assume my motherboard is capable if it is using a capable processor.
