So each time I start up my computer, my mouse, keyboard, and headphones getrecognized. My mouse is the only device of those 3 to use usb. My blue snowball microphone and my hawking directional antenna don't get recognized until I unplug them and plug them back in. It take 2-4 times of unplugging and plugging in for it to recognize my snowball.

I've built an 128gb Samsung (830 Series) SSD into my Acer RL70 Nettop. It was empty and when I tried to boot the nettop there was only the message "ERROR: No boot disk has been detected or the disk has failed". Then I connected the SSD to another computer and installed windows on it and it worked on that PC. When I put it pack into the Nettop i got the same error again. In the Bios, it shows the SSD correctly.

And the problem is that this doesn't let me play Open GL stuff, and I don't have a clue on what my video card driver was before that (Don't know how to find it) or change to another video card driver
About a month after I started using it, the Say the Time clock program I bought stopped launching the management menu when I right click the date/time field in the task tray (notification area).
Therefore, I can't use or edit the program. Neither the touchpad nor the cordless mouse works.
Other than this problem, my computer works great. Every single item that's meant to be right clicked works for me.
Is there a way I can generate a log to show the software manufacturer (Provenio) that it's their problem and not mine? I am a novice user but I can follow instructions. However, I don't want to put my computer at risk if I make an entry error.
I've been using computers for 18 years and I've never had this problem until I bought this software and used it for about a month.
I just wanted a conclusive way of putting the ball back in the manufacturer's court.
I have been at this for about 3-4 hours trying to decrease the boot time of my computer I was able to get it from 10 minutes down to 5-6.I biggest thing I noticed is the time between the Windows animated boot screen and the actually blue login screen just shows a black screen about about 2 minutes or so. Anything I can do to decrease this? Logs, etc?
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe other day I went to restart my computer, on restart it showed the motherboard info for longer than usual maybe 10-20 secs then proceeded to boot windows. About 2-3 days later I was doing a few things, computer froze so I manually had to shut off and turn back on the computer and it would show the motherboard information and not do anything from there just sit there. Tried to boot again maybe 3 times and nothing changed. Everything powered up fine ect ect. Took the case off looked at a few things, everything looked fine. Turned it back on and it booted right away like normal. Didn't have the keyboard plugged in so I had to restart again and was going to anyways to see what it would do and it booted just fine again.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got a Dell Insprion 1470 and it never worked right (I would return it for a new one but first Freak Squad has to "fix" it).When booting it will sometimes freeze at the windows logo, just go black, go into start up repair, go into safe mode, all kinds of stuff.I have ran many tests/programs and they all say nothing is wrong.

I've updated BIOS and all drivers, Ive defragged and ran CCleaner.I ran the full system scan in Dell Support Center.
I have a problem, I need to temporarly get a Sata III installed in a AMD Athlon 64+ 4000+, when it is installed the computer doesn't boot when it's not installed (attached to the motherboard SATA port) the computer boots fine, my guess is that the motherboard can't handle these types of SSD, right or wrong ?

View 1 Replies View RelatedA couple months after I got my computer, it began to become very slow. Being an impatient person, I hard rebooted a couple times. Eventually it went into The black screen where it says "checking disk for consistency". Being an impatient person,y dad and I chose to just re install my whole computer. And then it was fine.Until a month later when it began having the same issues. This time, I hard rebooted a couple times until it went into "Checling disk" again. After googling, I let it run through and it took a couple of hours but it worked. And them it was fine, until a week later t became extremely slow, shut down, and went into Startup Repair. It began fixing hard drive errors and took several hours to complete, but it did. And it was fineA week later my computer again has begun freezing up. When I start it up in the mornings, it takes a long time on "Starting Windows" and then goes to a black screen with a cursor. Then waits for a long time before going into he login screen, I login and it takes a long time to begin to function. Then it starts to freeze up, I hard rebooted, and it happens again.
Oh, and whenever I get the rare moment my computer is functioning I run Norton full scans/ CCcleaner. Today I booted up my computer and got a screen saying something went seriously wrong with my computer and that I should repair it from an installation disk. I load up windows onto a USB, boot it and click the repair option. It's been about half an hour and nothing has shown up. Is it still loading or perhaps something is very wrong with my PC?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought my laptop awhile ago and it has 2 graphic card drivers in it. One Intel and one from NVIDIA. It all worked fine until I decided to upgrade my NVIDIA Graphic Card driver. I think this is the cause although it could easily be something else. Either way after the new installed driver there was no way to run ANY program with my NVIDIA card. It does get recognized in the "Device Manager" but no program seems to be able to acces the NVIDIA.So I decided to download the lastest driver from the Dell site and install it. As that was the driver version I used back when it was working but I still seem to have the same problem. I don't really know what causes this.
I tried running a performance test to see if this program could use the graphic card but I seem to have no luck. Accesing the NVIDIA Control Panel and setting the desired program (or the global options) to automaticly run with my NVIDIA Graphic Card above anything didn't seem to pay off. I have searched with google for awhile but it's hard to use google if you don't know what your looking for. I found some things but I can't even tell if there connected to this problem.
Whenever I open anything from microsoft office 2003, that can be outlook, that can be a word document, that can be a powerpoint presentation or an excel sheet, my windows 7 taskbar and the computer in general slow down considerably, but expecially the taskbar lags for at least 3 seconds whatever I do (like moving the pointer over several icons so that the aero-thingy shows up takes 5 seconds to pop up the little windows or opening a new explorer window). So when did it all start? At first everything was fine, office 2003 was running fine with w7x64, then I installed the cisco system vpn client (64bit of course) because i need it for university. After that the problem occured and I haven't been able to make it go away since then.
1. I uninstalled the vpn client -> no changes
2. I uninstalled office 2003 and reinstalled -> no changes
3. Office is updated with the latest patch -> no changes
4. I tried to turn of aero (who knows?) -> no changes

View 7 Replies View RelatedI use Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome. Firefox is filled with privacy tools including Privoxy, Ghostery and Disconnect. My other browsers do no have anything. I use Windows firewall, Avast Free and Full version of Malwarebytes with malicious web-site blocking turned off. I also use Spyware Blaster. I use Windows 7. I am behind Cisco router.
Problem: When I use facebook.com either https or http, after a certain period of times or page visits, the facebook stops loading and "hangs" on a page not going back or forward. I either have to wait, or close it and open another browser. This has been going on for quite some time. I tried clearing everything with CCleaner, flushed DNS, Etc. When I ping, I get all 4 responses.
I have recently replaced my laptop with a new hard drive and extra 4GB ram slot,My laptop is a samsung np400b5b-s02uk, i've put in a Seagate 750GB SATA-II HD and a 4GB 1333MHZ Corsair Ram slot, I am trying to install Windows 7 Home (x64) onto it, i insert the disc into the drive but a message appears saying boot device not recognised, i've selected it to boot from CD in the BIOS but still nothing.

Last night I installed Windows 7 (x64) on a separate partition.
Anytime I had tried this in the past, using Vista, it always detected the Windows XP partition, and gave me a boot menu with "Earlier Version of Windows" option to boot to.
This is not so with Windows 7.
How can I get the boot menu to show both options, to boot to XP or to Windows 7?
*My SD card is not recognized by my computer*We were out for 2 weeks water-skiing with my new SonyAction cam (basically a GoPro by sony). I used the SD card from the camera at the end of a day to view the files on my laptop but didn't copy them over as the card still had 14GB of free space. (16GB Card)The next day I put the card into my laptop again and one of the files was corrupted , so I copied over all the files and formatted the SD card for re use the following day(Have done before card worked fine).Now we are back and I cannot access any files on it, both on my laptop or PC!! These videos mean a lot to me, so If anyone has any idea how to get this working or a place I can take it to recover data?When I put my SD card reader into my PC without the SD card in it, (Its a USB with an SD card slot on it) the safely remove hardware appears in the system tray and plays the sound that It recognizes a connected device. The SD card is not recognized at all when I connect it to the USB reader.
- This card was working in the camera.
- I believe the card broke somehow when I plugged it into my laptop, but I didn't want to think those thoughts just yet

When I switch it off and back on again it then recognises it and loads it in My Computer. I have another external USB drive which works just fine. This problem started after I formatted the PC and reinstalled windows 7. It worked fine before under the same OS. I tried another wire and plugged it into another port but still have the same problem.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've created the ISO file and moved it to the 4g drive using the AWESOME guide found here. However, the BIOS doesn't seem to recognize that the device is present. I've done some research and found that some usb drives aren't compatible with the BIOS? I made usb storage the only available boot option and nothing showed up.
However when I look at the drive while in Vista through my computer->G: It shows up as a windows system. I've also seen somewhere about enabling "Legacy usb"? I didn't find anything like that. Should I just got buy another flash drive and try again?
I have a brand new set up that is running windows 7 64 bit on a ASrock H61M-GE, supports UEFI (not sure if it is automatically enabled) with a 3TB hdd that is the boot drive. There are no other hard drives available on the computer. Windows has only recognized 1.99TB of the drive in the OS, the other 7XXGB are unallocated. I would like this drive to be in "one piece" and be booted from. How should I go about making this work?
View 8 Replies View RelatedRecently I changed the boot logo/screen on my computer to a custom one. When I got tired of it and wanted to change it back, I googled how I could restore it. Running the CMD as admin and typing "bcdedit %WinDir% /l en-US" would restore it back to its original boot logo. I tried it and then restarted my computer as instructed. As soon as it starts to boot up I get a message from the "Windows Boot Manager" telling me that there is a file that cannot be recognized: "windows/system32/winload.exe" My drivers for my keyboard are out of date apparently as I cant press "enter" to continue. It told me i could alternatively insert my windows 7 disc and restart. I inserted that disc and restarted and the same screen comes up.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI used to run 2 WD Caviar Black 1TB each, I decided to get a 128gb Intel SSD, put the other 2 WD drives over to SATA port 2 and 3 with SSD on port 1. I did not format the WD drives since they both have data on it, port 2 WD still has Windows 7 installation on it.
When I started up after installing SSD, I went to BIOS to ensure everything is in working order, I noticed only 2 drives are detected, the SSD and WD on port 3. Tried several things like check connection, power connection, switched SATA cables, switched ports. Still no difference.
I went ahead and installed Windows 7 on SSD, disk manager does not detect WD on port 2.
Is it because that WD on port 2 still has windows installation files? How can I fix this? I have critical data on there that I need to access to.
my monitor exhibited signs of flickering during start-up, but only minor ones and would just stop at the 'Welcome' screen of windows so I didn't give it much thought. Iv'e been using it with the cpu the same time I bought the monitor.But after some time, the flickering got worse. It went from 1-2 second interval flickers to a whole 10 seconds of blackness before it showed anything.Now,Iv'e got a new cpu but still using the old monitor. After a day or so, the monitor exhibited the first symptoms of my first cpu, so I just dismissed it. But after a week, It got a hell worse, before I even start-up my computer, the monitor doesn't show Analog/Digital at the top-left corner of the screen. PLUS my cpu keeps restarting after I pushed the ON button after 10 seconds or so. Is the monitor responsible for the restart and what could be the reason for the flickering?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have attached a Seagate 500 GG external hard drive to my computer but it is not showing up in My Computer.I have browsed similar threads and on their advice gone into Device Manager.The drive is there but with no letter assigned to it but when I right click to assign one, it refers me to Windows Help, which is unable to solve the problem. There are actually two extra ikons in Device Manager - one marked FAT Healthy (EISA Configuration) and the other just marked (GPT Protective Partition).The device is acknowledged as working properly in Device Manager.The files on this drive were created on a Mac, which may be the source of the problem? Most of them I will therefore not be able to read, but there is one which is a .mov file which I should be able to read and hopefully copy - if I can access it.Is there any way I can access the drive via my PC (Windows XP) or will the drive have been formatted for Mac only and therefore is inaccessible via PC?

I have a Zotac 570 gtx connected via HDMI cable to my Asus VE258 LED monitor.I've had this video card and monitor setup working before with the exact cable, card and monitor.Something changed in my system where the monitor is no longer recognized for what it is. When i go into my Nvidia control panel under change resolution 1.Digital Display, 2. DVI-PC Display - Resolution 1080p 59 Hz. There is no DVI cable plugged into the computer and the monitor is set on HDMI input. When i go to my Audio playback devices, the HDMI connection does not show up at all, even as disabled or disconnected.When i go to play a game (Diablo 3, Skyrim, Farcry2) The game either doesn't open (skyrim) giving me the error that resolution is not recognized (but then does not give me any resolutions to choose from in the options menu) or will play (Diablo 3) but is stuck on extremely low resolutions with only 2 options.
Here's what i've done. Contacted Zotac and had them send me the most recent drivers for the video card. Uninstalled originals and re-installed the new ones. Contacted Asus (they say its not the monitor as long as its set on HDMI input) I am unable to find a driver that will make my computer (Windows 7) recognize the monitor for what it is. Zotac failed after their attempt with the driver and told me to RMA the card. So i did... i waited a month.
i got this laptop at first its boot time was fast but lately it seems to take longer time to boot..Is there a way to speed up boot time
