Loading New Ipod And Keeping Old Ipod Music?
Oct 12, 2011I have puchased an ipod touch because my ipod nano was full. I want to use the songs from the nano on the ipod touch but also add more music to that Ipod Touch. Most of my music is from CD's.How should I add this new Ipod touch which has 32gb storage.I want to keep same music on the Nano but change playlists on it or delete songs and add others in the 4gb storage. Will the old Nano still sync when I make changes?

Dec 7, 2012I have a 6 month old computer with Windows 7 on it. Anyhow, I always use iTunes and backup/load songs from it to my iPhone 4 and 2nd gen iPod.About a week ago is when I last was able to connect my iPod to itunes and load new songs. However now my computer no longer recognizes my iPod. I thought it was iTunes at fault but my computer still recognizes my iPhone no problem (with the same cord) and my computer also recognizes my gps watch with its own separate cord.I've tried restarting my computer, unplugging it, using both USB ports but to no avail.The ipod charges when plugged in to the computer but it just isn't being recognized (there are no removable storage devices showing in my computer either).I opened device manager and it shows 2x Generic USB Hub, 2x Intel 6 Series...Hos Controller, 2x USB Root Hub, 1x USB Mass Storage Device. When I go to properties > details > hardware ids of the USB Mass Storage Device it shows USBVID_0BDA&PID_158 and also USBVID_0BDA&PID_158&REV_5888.

Jan 26, 2013*My SD card is not recognized by my computer*We were out for 2 weeks water-skiing with my new SonyAction cam (basically a GoPro by sony). I used the SD card from the camera at the end of a day to view the files on my laptop but didn't copy them over as the card still had 14GB of free space. (16GB Card)The next day I put the card into my laptop again and one of the files was corrupted , so I copied over all the files and formatted the SD card for re use the following day(Have done before card worked fine).Now we are back and I cannot access any files on it, both on my laptop or PC!! These videos mean a lot to me, so If anyone has any idea how to get this working or a place I can take it to recover data?When I put my SD card reader into my PC without the SD card in it, (Its a USB with an SD card slot on it) the safely remove hardware appears in the system tray and plays the sound that It recognizes a connected device. The SD card is not recognized at all when I connect it to the USB reader.
- This card was working in the camera.
- I believe the card broke somehow when I plugged it into my laptop, but I didn't want to think those thoughts just yet

May 5, 2012I have attached a Seagate 500 GG external hard drive to my computer but it is not showing up in My Computer.I have browsed similar threads and on their advice gone into Device Manager.The drive is there but with no letter assigned to it but when I right click to assign one, it refers me to Windows Help, which is unable to solve the problem. There are actually two extra ikons in Device Manager - one marked FAT Healthy (EISA Configuration) and the other just marked (GPT Protective Partition).The device is acknowledged as working properly in Device Manager.The files on this drive were created on a Mac, which may be the source of the problem? Most of them I will therefore not be able to read, but there is one which is a .mov file which I should be able to read and hopefully copy - if I can access it.Is there any way I can access the drive via my PC (Windows XP) or will the drive have been formatted for Mac only and therefore is inaccessible via PC?

Sep 29, 2012I have a Zotac 570 gtx connected via HDMI cable to my Asus VE258 LED monitor.I've had this video card and monitor setup working before with the exact cable, card and monitor.Something changed in my system where the monitor is no longer recognized for what it is. When i go into my Nvidia control panel under change resolution 1.Digital Display, 2. DVI-PC Display - Resolution 1080p 59 Hz. There is no DVI cable plugged into the computer and the monitor is set on HDMI input. When i go to my Audio playback devices, the HDMI connection does not show up at all, even as disabled or disconnected.When i go to play a game (Diablo 3, Skyrim, Farcry2) The game either doesn't open (skyrim) giving me the error that resolution is not recognized (but then does not give me any resolutions to choose from in the options menu) or will play (Diablo 3) but is stuck on extremely low resolutions with only 2 options.
Here's what i've done. Contacted Zotac and had them send me the most recent drivers for the video card. Uninstalled originals and re-installed the new ones. Contacted Asus (they say its not the monitor as long as its set on HDMI input) I am unable to find a driver that will make my computer (Windows 7) recognize the monitor for what it is. Zotac failed after their attempt with the driver and told me to RMA the card. So i did... i waited a month.

I've tried all the common sense steps on how to sort but nothing works. This occurs on iTunes Windows, iPod, and iPad "Remote" (controlling a mac mini with iTunes). In the video, I'm following advice to click "View as List" then click "Name" to no avail. I also tried clicking other fields and then "Name", but the result is the same-- sorting by artist name first then song name.

Aug 15, 2011I have a 120 GB Classic iPod. I've had it for a couple years, and I managed it with my old laptop (Vista). I got a new laptop (W7) recently so I copied my iTunes library on to a external HDD and moved it to the new laptop. I tried to use it with my new laptop for the first time several days ago, but it wasn't detected.
When I plug it in or remove it the backlight comes on, but neither my laptop, iPod, or iTunes show any indication that the iPod is actually connected. No sync screen on the iPod, no data popping up in iTunes, no USB device connection manager on my toolbar. What's going on? I tried resetting the iPod, but that didn't work.
Yesterday, I decided to do a little experimenting. I tried my iPod with my new laptop. It didn't work. I tried both USB 2.0 ports but no dice. I poked around in the device manager and didn't see anything that I thought might correspond with an iPod. No "USB mass storage device" or anything like that.I tried my iPod with my old laptop and it did work.I decided to pop in my new laptop a never before opened flash drive that I purchased recently. It installed properly. I checked both USB ports and it was detected in both of them.
