Computer freezes suddenly making a beep sound (loop),none of the keyboards or mouse commands work.Sometimes it doesn't even freeze and suddenly shut off.Its two years i have been using my computer, until now no such problem had occured. In between there was BSOD but it went automatically. After shutdown when i start the computer,it doesnt start in a single attempt, the cpu light goes on and off ,then i have to again switch it on and maybe it will start
my packard bell easynote lj65 will keep making beep sound until it gets to window environment, when i trouble shoot, i found out that the keyboard is actually the problem, then i disconnect the internal keyboard and attached external USB keyboard and it works perfectly. then, when i couple it back and power it on, the power indication light will be on but nothing will be displayed on the screen.
Every time i want to use the computers sound it starts making a horrible beep sound, very high pitch. I tried using the sound settings but nothing, if i disable the mic then i cannot hear anything i want to play on netflix. i cant use skype or any other program designed to use sound without hearing this beep.
As the title says my PC outputs a "beep beep" sound out external speakers. It is extremely annoying. I haven't the slightest clue why it does this. Its kindof i higher pitch beep beep. all my specs are on my profile.
Just recently, on waking up from Sleep by moving mouse, a three-second beep in the computer sounds, as the computer wakes correctly. How do I remove that sound; how might it have begun so unexpectedly?I recently did a repair from the Windows back-up.
I use windows 7 ultimate 64bit for instance i am browsing the internet, suddenly my pc freezes for about 5secs (my mouse/keyboard does not work) and then everything is back to normal. then i am playing a video suddenly my pc freezes again for 5secs and this time it also makes noise from the speaker (the noise is the audio of video clip i have been playing) to explain more about the sound: its like as if the audio of the movie clip has got stuck (that type of sound).
in last 1 week i got this freeze thing many times (about atleast 10 times a day) and from last 7 days i got the message "Video driver stopped responding and has now recovered" twice
I updated my ati catalyst to version 11.6 3 weeks ago. so i decided to instal the previous version 11.5 to check if that gives solution to the problem but it did not
First of all i have an ASUS P6X58D Premium motherboard and three days ago updated to 24GB of Ram.Suddenly while i was relaxing on my pc a few hours ago, a beeping sound that lasted for about 1-2 seconds started coming from the speakers. I instantly got worried as this is the first time it happened. I looked up google for "beeb sound", and i found out that this is some form of coding representing errors....but these sounds should not come from the motherboard instead of the speakers????
Not sure how exactly how to start this, but I am suddenly having issues where my computer will freeze. I could still hear audio and move my mouse. ie if I am watching a you tube video I can hear the video still going but my computer freeze up.
I was trying to research but couldn't find anything on. While I'm typing, there's a very short beep that's coming from the computer with every keypress. Not only that but I no longer am able to hit to press to keys in a row.
when i playing games like dota sometimes my computer beeps once and cause my keyboard and mouse to stuck so im forced to restart my comp . Sometimes once beep then stuck keyboard and mouse but after a few seconds the keyboard and mouse will work again without restarting my comp.
My laptop isn't even a year old and it started freezing and making weird noise. At first it didn't happen much and only happened when I was watching movies now it happens on everything I do about 4 times a day. sometimes it goes back to normal but then other times I have to press the power button and turn it off. I checked the fan and the fan seems to be fine. And I don't have a virus I scan the computer once a week.
I recently purchased a Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E520 Laptop with 8GB RAM & Windows 7 Home Premium on 20th August 2012..For the whole time I have the laptop turned on at the top left side of the laptop I can hear repetative scratching / clicking sounds, Can someone please help me with this as i'm worried if I should get it fixed as soon as possible!
When I change a file and then close it I get no sound when the pop up ask if i want to make changes. I tried different things in control panel under "sounds" but was unable to fix this? I assigned a sound to "menu-pop up" and "close program" but when, for instance, I open a note pad document, change a letter and close it a window opens asking me if I want to save changes but I still don't here a sound like I do in XP?
instead of the normal sound when you click a program and get an update that shows up in the bottom right hand corner of your desktop, mine is making an instrumental noise and i really dont like it, this happens everytime im supposed to hear the normal noise
4 days now my pc sometimes freezes at startup and it needs restart. Also suddenly it restarts without a message. And today i got 2 BSODs and one of them was at welcome screen.I scanned my pc with malwarebytes and found nothing.

I had audio lagg in battlefield 3 so some guy told me to update my realtek HD audio driver and it will be fine So i did and after installation my speakers started making this weird anoying sound i can't stop it and in my realtek HD audio menager started saying that i've plugged in audio device and after that it says that i have unplugged my audio device but the point is i didn't plugged in anything and goes again and again.
The problem is my laptop/notebook always making the "click" sound (the sound that like you open a folder in windows) although I am not doing anything. When I turn off my laptop today, then I opened my laptop for the next day it making the same problem. I don't know how it's happened. I am using windows 7.
I've been getting really annoying sounds while playing CS:S that freezes the screen for half a second.. It sounds like the device plugged in / device removed sound.. and it happens randomly. It even happens when I'm not playing any games. I don't have any USB devices that are plugged in except for my USB mouse.
I have the same problem on my HP laptop, suddenly all system freezes and I cannot do anything except hold shut down button. I have monitored my CPU performance on startup and it goes crazy when my avast anti-virus is updating almost about 70% of cpu usage.
Technical details: Celeron Dual-Core CPU T3100 @ 1.90 GHz, 3gb ram, Mobile intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family
I haven't done anything with programs, have run ccleaner few times, also Disk Clean up and defragmenter. Scanned with the same avast scanner and Trend Micro House call, everything was fine. But never done any cleaning in 'fan' region.
Today i did a system recovery and reformat my pc. I notice anytime i am watching videos or playing games the audio is surprisingly low all of a sudden. Before when my volume level was at 1 or 2 it plays really loud and clear now i have to turn it up all the way to 18- 26, I am using external speakers i dont know what the problem could be any ideas?
I have a PC with Windows 7 64 bit as the primary and only OS. Lately a strange audio problem has come up. The sound goes off suddenly while gaming. The only solution then is to restart the PC for the audio to return. Am having a discrete audio card (Asus Xonar Essence STX). I have tried all the driver tricks (updating, uninstall-ing & reinstall-ing) to no avail.
I think that Windows might be disabling my sound device during gaming because it thinks it is idle. I don't know if this is the exact reason but after much testing have come to this conclusion.
Anyway, the problem is that while playing some games (for example Borderlands, Civ 5) the sound will be fine but after a while playing the sound will cut off completely. It seems to occur when I am playing a game for more than an hour although I can't be very specific. If I exit the game and try to play an MP3 etc in WMP then the program just behaves like it's trying to do something in the background and won't actually play the file. There are no system sounds or any other sound at all.
This doesn't happen in all games, for example, when I play Audiosurf then the sound plays as normal no matter how long I play. This is why I think it may be a Windows issue thinking my sound card is idle and then turning it off because when I play Audiosurf, the game plays my MP3 files and so presumably Windows knows my sound card is in use but when I play any other game that just uses the game's own sound files/effects, then Windows isn't recognising this and after a certain period of time is then disabling my sound card.
Does anyone know of a solution for this or has come across something similar? I have an external sound card that is connected via USB (Line 6 Toneport UX2). Let me know if you require any more system specs, oh I'm using Win 7 HP 64bit btw.
I've had WMC up and running for about a year now, no problems. Tonight we decided to watch a movie that I have as an *.mkv file - we do this all the time, at least once a week if not more. I shut down WMC and played the movie in VLC Media player. When I went to start WMC again, the sound was gone. The sound works in the rest of the system. I can hear computer sounds, and VLC and other media players work fine. It's just WMC that has no sound.I checked all my devices and drivers, no errors. Though to be honest, if that was the problem I'd expect all sounds to be gone.I removed WMC from the system by using the "Remove Windows Features" in Control Panel, and then re-installed it. No difference.I did notice however that removing and re-installing WMC, I didn't have to re-setup all my channels, etc. The settings "stuck". (Oh, by the way, I did re-run the sound setup in WMC, no difference).I'm wondering if maybe my WMC settings are corrupted somehow? Is there some sort of config file perhaps? I have no backup plan here, this is my only way to watch TV. I guess I could wipe the drive and start from scratch, but I'd prefer not to.

Please can someone help me with this as it's driving me mad and when gaming online and chatting to my friend through Skype, the sound will suddenly just go off. While he can still hear me talking into the mic, I can't hear him or the game's sounds/music and he has to resort to typing me messages in-game.
Every time I click a link or whatever on a page, I hear a strange 'beep' sound inside my computer. Sometimes when I'm clicking into a webpage that has to load a lot of scripts or images, I hear multiple beeping until the page is loaded.
I was using skype and my microphone was working perfectly. So, I go downstairs, get a drink and return. Only to find that my microphone is suddenly broke. Now it's not the microphone it's self, It works on my laptop, and I have plugged in 3 mics and they all render the same problem.Basically, whether the mic is plugged in or not Windows reports that the mic is picking up sound (Green bar is FULL all the time). This happens on stereo mix, mono mix, line in etc.My Audio however works fine. I have tried front and back jacks, no difference. Although windows reports picking up sound, no sound is being processed (As tested through Skype, Sound Recorder and FRAPS). I did not change any hardware configs, as I went downstairs for literally 2 minutes. If I mute it however, the bar reduces to nothing (no sound being picked up).[CODE]
The sound suddenly stopped working on my Toshiba satellite A505-S6960. When I click the speaker icon it shows maximum and blinking as it is working. OS is Windows 7 professional?
