when i playing games like dota sometimes my computer beeps once and cause my keyboard and mouse to stuck so im forced to restart my comp . Sometimes once beep then stuck keyboard and mouse but after a few seconds the keyboard and mouse will work again without restarting my comp.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Compaq 615 running Windows 7. Recently, I have heard a beeping sound that isnt too disimiliar to the BIOS beeps on start up. However, this can be heard when the OS is running.
There is no set pattern to the beeps. It can occasionally be 2-3 beeps very close together but is mostly just one beep. It is starting to worry me a little.
Here are a list of things I've done to try and resolve already:
Remove an USB devices that have been plugged in Clean the keyboard with compressed air incase this was caused by a stuck key Ran system check Cleaned up the C-Drive Ran a HDD check from booting up Checked eventvwr
Re: Toshiba laptop...my computer has been fine until recently...i'm using a wirelss mouse and keyboard...i have tried two different keyboards and am still getting the same annoying things...every single time I open a "search" box or go to type in an address bar...the letter "h" starts randomly and repeadedly typing itself. I cannot backspace quick enough at times to keep it from appearing. Also...I keep hearing the annoying "default beep" (windows ding). What are the chances that both keyboards I've used are faulty?? Probably not. If I have a virus or malware...any and all removal tools are just not picking up on it.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but recently on my girlfriends computer we installed a webcam and everything kinda froze. Upon restarting the computer it comes up with the screen saying a device failed and may need a startup repair. Also gives the option to start windows normally. The problem is the keyboard is not recognized to choose an option. It counts down and goes to the screen to start the startup repair, but again no mouse or keyboard. I have tried accessing the BIOS but considering the keyboard is not working i cannot do that either. I'm not sure what all is in it as I got it from a friend when he built a new one. It is a custom computer, not from a typical manufacturer. It has worked perfectly up until trying to install the webcam. I have tried using every USB port and also tried using a ps/2 converter to no avail. I'm not sure what to do anymore, and I'm afraid of messing with it too much or hard-booting it too much.

View 1 Replies View RelatedYesterday night I turned off my computer by pressing the power button and now my mouse and keyboard do not work anymore(in Windows). I wanted to see if it was just the mouse/keyboard itself, but I noticed nothing detects when I connect a USB device. I tried plugging it in every port and it's the same. I thought it was a hardware issue, but now I realize that it is not.
I restarted my computer and tried to get into safe mode; it worked(I was able to go up and down to select which mode I wanted to enter). Once inside safe mode and windows is loaded, the keyboard just freezes. It does not work at all. I then decided to go into bios to see what is up and everything seems right. I even screwed around and messed up my overclock settings.
So now I know my keyboard still works and it's probably a Windows issue. I wanted to see if my mouse would work. I went into Windows Repair(I might have gotten the name wrong) and voila, my mouse worked!
I was trying to research but couldn't find anything on. While I'm typing, there's a very short beep that's coming from the computer with every keypress. Not only that but I no longer am able to hit to press to keys in a row.

its is like the whole system just takes a pause, nothing happens, mouse and keyboard freeze up and the game pauses. even if there is no pause it happens.first noticed it in SWTOR mmo. last for a few minutes up to sometime 5 or 6 minutes. nothing happens even screen freezes then when it realeases it like nothing happened i just continue from where i left off except in a mmo then time passes as im frozen and i dont see it pass.i have swapped MoBo with an ASUS P8H67-M pro/csm with B3 revision and it still did it so i went back to my z68 chip set board
Computer freezes suddenly making a beep sound (loop),none of the keyboards or mouse commands work.Sometimes it doesn't even freeze and suddenly shut off.Its two years i have been using my computer, until now no such problem had occured. Whenever I access the BIOS, the selection keeps moving up as if the "up arrow" key on the keyboard was stuck. My keyboard is connected via purple PS2 in the back. I tried with a different keyboard, this time a USB connection, and still the same result. It seems to be happening only in the BIOS as it doesn't do any strange behaviour when I'm in Windows. I updated the BIOS to the latest version and cleared the CMOS using the jumper on the board.

However, still I can update my windows and so forth as original. The fact was, I installed some programmes and softwares which I used before, in Windows Vista! Now-a-days, I experience having problem with the touch pad, CD Rom hardware and Volume...
1. touch pad stucks, pointer doesn't move sometimes.
2. CD Rom start functioning automatically without having a CD inside.. sounds like CD is ejecting from rom.
3. volume button starts increasing automatically and sometimes mutes !
what I guess, it's a virus. I installed a scroll pad driver, I thought the problem was due to the driver. After uninstalling that driver, the touch pad was functioning normally (without the scroll functioning though) and the error was removed. But after two days, I see the same problem again..
When I assign one of the mouse buttons to "Close" or to a keystroke combination (Ctrl-F4, Alt-F4, Ctrl-W etc.), after using the mouse buttons the Ctrl (or Alt) key behaves erratically as if it were stuck on the keyboard.
This is not a hardware fault of the keyboard, I tried different types and makes. I have Vista64 but I read on various forums people have this on Win7 as well, both 32 and 64. Worst of all it happens both with Microsoft Explorer (MiniMouse in my case) with Intellipoint and Logitech VX Revoution and their Setpoint. (Newest versions were installed). Other people report it with further mice.
Nothing is turned on regarding Accessibility and Sticky keys. As to date I found no evasion to this frustrating issue except not assigning mouse buttons the way I want. Is there some merciful soul out here who will share a solution ? Logitech know of this but their newer versions did not solve this, same goes for MS.
Every time I click a link or whatever on a page, I hear a strange 'beep' sound inside my computer. Sometimes when I'm clicking into a webpage that has to load a lot of scripts or images, I hear multiple beeping until the page is loaded.

Recently my PC is getting stuck for no reason. While browsing, watching a movie, when I leave it idle for a while its getting stuck. Screen is as it was and I cannot move the cursor, keyboard isn't working. Then I restart it manually and go to the option "start windows normally" or something. This happened previously and I thought it has smthin to do with my HDD, but I checked it n re installed win7 64bit. It was working normally for about 3 months and now it started again.
Ok not sure how to explain this but my mouse/keyboard occasionally freeze up for few seconds and mouse will become very very slow and beeping sound come from speakers when I try to press keys on mouse or just move it, not the standard error sound its different beep. In shooters i sometimes find my self unloading a gun in the air after the lag passes please someone help.

I tried googling but I couldn't find exact same problem but most of answers were pointing towards overheating I installed SpeedFan I alt tabbed out of stalker to look at the reading at my cores were at 60 not sure if thats enough to cause something like I described.

Sometimes the laptop gets stuck and then none of the keys or the mouse works. Yesterday I was watching a movie and the same thing happened but the movie didn't stop.
Today morning the laptop wasn't booting and then later I took out the battery and reinserted it and it worked. Are these two problems somehow related?

View 10 Replies View RelatedWas playing Left 4 Dead before and noticed whenever I hold down any key on my keyboard (Logitech G15), and try to move my mouse (G9), the mouse moves, the suddenly stops for a split of a second, moves to where I want it, then stop, etc.
Almost as if the MOUSE had latency issues.
Opened up Autodesk Maya afterwards, spun my scene around using Alt + Mouse, and it's all fine.
Anyone else got anything weird like this? Running 64-bit Windows 7.
FIXED. I verified game cache and restarted computer as well as swapping my USB slots.
Yesterday I got on my computer everything is running fine. Today got on it for awhile and suddenly the USB keyboard and USB mouse lock up. I've tried restarting it and I can't get past the first screen. It says keyboard not present or something around those lines.I plugged in a ps/2 keyboard and it works but my USB mouse will still not work. I've tried going into BIOS and making sure USB was enabled. Tried a system restore but for some reason it wont complete.
