Every time i want to use the computers sound it starts making a horrible beep sound, very high pitch. I tried using the sound settings but nothing, if i disable the mic then i cannot hear anything i want to play on netflix. i cant use skype or any other program designed to use sound without hearing this beep.

Computer freezes suddenly making a beep sound (loop),none of the keyboards or mouse commands work.Sometimes it doesn't even freeze and suddenly shut off.Its two years i have been using my computer, until now no such problem had occured. Now, I installed Windows 7 (32 bit) on my computer the other day, and I've been driver hunting since then. Looking for video card drivers, printer drivers, it's a real nightmare. Though I can say I've pretty much managed with everything, except with this.
I downloaded the latest Realtek HD audio driver for Windows 7 twice, from different sources. I also downloaded a bunch of codecs (made for Windows 7 as well) but what really bothers me is that the sound quality is horrifying.
I used to have XP on my system until last week with the appropriate Realtek audio driver and the sound was awesome. The equalizers available really did the trick.
Now, however, the sound is so freaking bad, even Winamp's equalizer can't make my music sound as good as it did. The treble is raspy, there's hardly any bass. I've tried all the available settings in the Realtek Control Center (or whatever it's called) to no avail. All the additional equalizing and adjusting of the environment make it sound even worse.
I am experiencing mouse lag/stuttering in a few games recently, however this only occurs when looking around in a game. The two games that currently do this, are Borderlands 2 and BRINK, however I believe more do which I have not found. I know this does not occur in Skyrim and also Protype 2. This does not occur when "aiming down the sights" in these games, only when looking around normally. I have all drivers updated, tried different mouses, mouse acceleration, mouse smoothing, v-syncs, dropping all graphics to low, looking around for other issues, but nothing seems to be quite the same. I'm using a GTX 670 with a Razer Naga, complete specs in my profile.

View 6 Replies View Relatedmy hp 6730 b laptop charger was beeping and eventually stopped working i replaced it with a loaner ..The loaner is a original hp charger but has less power volts are .5 off but the original had 90 watts the loaner has only 65 watts...it charges the bat to 100 percent..although i noticed the lightning bolt led is not staying blue like it was...it goes to amber at 60 percent charge and then blue like itshould somewere working up to full charge then it goes off..it used to stay blue.. i dont leave it plugged in at night..i figure i better not..NOW 3 DAYS LATER MY LAPTOP CRASHED TWICE AND BUZZED... NO SCREEN ...FAN GOING AND LEDS BLINKING...it would not shut down from power off on button....so i umplugged the charger and pulled the batt out...put batt back in and it said windows did nor shut down correctly..hit enter and it rebooted fine...how serious is underpowering a devise..in general i always thought under was ok within reason over was bad.?? im buying the original 90 watt hp block today...

I downloaded a program to help me edit some DVD menu's and this Babylon Search function was downloaded with it. It created add-on's and made my computer do things that were not desirable. I uninstalled it but found it to be still lingering on my computer in the add-on sections of browsers. Ever since I downloaded the program and got the "Babylon Search" with it I have found that my computer is running really slow. It also shows up in Internet Explorer when I click to open a new tab. It comes up right away and seems to be mimicking the Google Search layout only it says Babylon in the top right of the screen...

This freezes only happens when i turn on the computer for the firsts time of the day, it happens like 5-10 times and then he starts working correctly for the rest of the day, i don't have a clue what is happening, do i need to format my computer?

It always hogs up massive amount of CPU power and goes into (Not Responding) for a min while updating.I only add media files to the Windows Explorer Library so I can get indexed searches. I don't even use WMP to view files or anything. Just to burn some music CDs sometimes.I've tried deleting the files from the WMP library but the next time I open it up, it scans and updates all my files again! Is there a way to completely purge the WMP library and make it not update ever? I've unchecked every option that seems to make it scan and update but it still does it.Basically I want to UNLINK the Windows Explorer Library from the WMP Library.

Some of my keys don't work very well at all, and some work only sporadically. The keys I'm talking about aren't any of the input keys for typing or anything, but rather the keys to adjust volume, brightness, screen width, etc. I'm not sure why the keys stopped working, but if someone could help with that would be awesome.I am also having trouble with my fingerprint scanner stopping working. I have installed no extra hardware outside of a mouse and a external hard drive and it stopped yesterday, probably on going to sleep.I have done your steps 1 to 5 but the step "perfmon /report" fails to write the html file, I tried it three times including from the dos prompt as admin.
