View 4 Replies View RelatedFirst of all i have an ASUS P6X58D Premium motherboard and three days ago updated to 24GB of Ram.Suddenly while i was relaxing on my pc a few hours ago, a beeping sound that lasted for about 1-2 seconds started coming from the speakers. I instantly got worried as this is the first time it happened. I looked up google for "beeb sound", and i found out that this is some form of coding representing errors....but these sounds should not come from the motherboard instead of the speakers????

View 9 Replies View Relatedmy packard bell easynote lj65 will keep making beep sound until it gets to window environment, when i trouble shoot, i found out that the keyboard is actually the problem, then i disconnect the internal keyboard and attached external USB keyboard and it works perfectly. then, when i couple it back and power it on, the power indication light will be on but nothing will be displayed on the screen.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIve got a Packard Bell laptop but have just noticed that it only starts up intermittently.Mostly I just get 'Windows is starting' and thats it - just a black screen. I have to shut it down and then it starts up in safe mode repairing the incorrect shut down i imagine.
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy laptop decided not to start up today. It shut down last night normally, today it keeps getting stuck on "starting window". I tried safe mode, but it gets stuck at starting windows. I tried starting from disk, it says loading files then it goes start to the starting windows and gets stuck. I tried pressing f8 but there is no repair computer option. Did my ssd die?
View 5 Replies View RelatedFor about a week now my laptop has been starting with a 'Temporary Profile' It says that i should retry logging on later, but i have tried logging on many time, the thing is, as well as it loading up onto a Temporary Profile, it litterally takes 10 minutes for my laptop to load, it say the 'Welcome' screen for ages, then says 'Preparing your desktop' then loads the temporary profile, i've tried rebooting, system restore, but it does exactly the same thing?
View 1 Replies View RelatedYesterday I installed a new external hard drive - following the installation - my sound no longer played through my television (video is fine, HDMI connection) and sound now comes ONLY through the laptop speakers. The option for HDMI Audio doesn't appear in the 'sound' menus. I have 'checked' "shoe disabled" and "show disconnected" in those menus. [code] I use my HD TV as my primary monitor for gaming, so having sound through laptop speakers and not TV is quite annoying.Perhaps my only solution is another sound card?

I can't do anything, I start a program or a game, or open the internet and it freezes usually within five minutes. I can't do anything to fix it, like move the mouse or press control alt delete.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy hp laptop suddenly always starting with startup repair. It has been working fine for months and now it cant startup. Could this be caused by running a java game for too lonng? Or possibly overheating?
View 1 Replies View RelatedToday, I noticed my laptop seems to come on whenever I open it. It then cuts off before starting fully. A startup repair program ran a couple of times and the laptop now lasts longer while on. However, when I turn it off, it starts automatically when it is opened. I ran malwarebytes and zone alarm with no effect. I then ran RKill and it stopped 3 programs.
Processes terminated by Rkill or while it was running:
C:\Windows\sysWow64\SearchProtocolHost.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Common\Google Updater\GoogleUpdaterService.exe
C:\Users\Oshodi\AppData\Local\Temp\IswTmp\DwlRun\eXplorer.exe
I am re running the malwarebytes now. I am running a Windows 7 ultimate on a sony vaio.
I own a Samsung QX410 and while I was browsing the Internet it crashed and would not start normally without crashing. So I've tried running Repair my system, even Repair my computer from my windows disk. But every time I do that it comes to a blue splash screen (with the bird, leaf, etc.) and it would not do anything. No options would come up and it would just sit there.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy boyfriends laptop stopped working and when we tried to restart it we chose the option which was recommended to restart it in the mode which could try and fix the problem. However when we selected this option it loads no further than the blue windows start up screen with the little leaves on it. We tried to start up windows normally and it won't let us do this either.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have problems (hardware/software)when starting my laptop (Presario F700) AND after getting to my desktop. When I start my computer, there are three things that can happen:1) It will stay at the "Compaq" screen for a while (like three long minutes) then go to my desktop.2) It will go passed the "Compaq" screen and stay at a black screen with a blinking dash (again for about three minutes) then go to my desktop.3) Or it will go passed the "Compaq" screen, stay at the black screen with blinking dash but then it will eventually say "The Operating System was not found"This is the least of my worries though, when I get to my desktop, after about three minutes, it will automatically restart.I am able to stay on safe mode without it restarting.Another problem I am having is when I try to open a program like Notepad or Command prompt (and probably more) I get this message: "The item '***' that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly"
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have a Sony Vaio VPCEA44FX (how stupid of me to buy a discontinued model >.<) and it won't start It get's to that Windows screen with the colorful flag thing, stays for 5-7 minutes, then bam...BSOD and then it tries to restart, but then before it gets to the Windows start up screen, it says "Operating System not found."I had a problem with this computer before, and I took it to the Sony place to fix it and it was fine. I remember some of the things the tech guy told me on the phone before I brought it in though.I tried to start in Safe Mode With Networking, but it won't work. The last file is starts was CLASSPNP and it just freezes there, it won't start at all.
I turned on my laptop and held F2. I tried to restore my laptop with factory settings, but that did absolutely nothing. Now I think I lost all my pictures and stuff now. When I restarted my computer I got an option 'Boot with Windows Repair' (I THINK that's what it said...I'll fix that later). I tried all those options (even opening the command prompt lol) and nothing. 'Startup Repair' failed. I went to the details and the most seemingly helpful line was on the bottom it said "Root cause found: A hard disk could not be found. If a hard disk is installed, it is not responding." Right now it's sitting in 'Advanced Boot Options' cause idk what to do now...
My laptop recently hang, so I just hard started it. On switching it on, it does not get beyond the Windows 7 logo.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI dropped my laptop this weekend. But it still worked for a few minutes before it froze. So I powered it off and tried to turn it back on. It turns back on just fine, but will continuously load the "Starting Windows" screen. I tried doing diagnostics and repairs, nothing. When I load it in safe mode, it loads up until the ClassPNP.sys, and then freezes.
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy wife HP Pavilion DV6175ea laptop running windows 7 ultimate 32 bits was fine with the sound until a month ago. Note that upgraded from vista since the windows 7 launch. From that date till now it as no sound from the speakers but it is ok from the headphones. Tried different audio drivers but no results. Tried to insert and remove headphonde jack several times with no results.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have hp dv1738od and have upgraded to Windows 7, previously Windows XP. Everything seem to be working ok except, for the sound. Window 7 automatically installed the driver, and said the sound card was working properly. But there was no sound through speaker.
I removed the driver and reinstall the driver that I got from HP website that work for Window Vista. Installation went through with no problem and Device manager indicated no isssue on sound driver. However there was still no sound coming out from the speaker, only through headphone jack.
I read tons of forums, and some has suggested that it may be the jack connection. I tried plugging in and out numerous time, and that did not solve the issue. Sound could be heard for like a sec, when headphone was being plugged out but it goes away quickly. To determine if it was hardware or software issue, i reinstalled Window XP and there was sound through speaker. So for sure it is not the speaker issue.
I have a Compaq 615 running Windows 7. Recently, I have heard a beeping sound that isnt too disimiliar to the BIOS beeps on start up. However, this can be heard when the OS is running.
There is no set pattern to the beeps. It can occasionally be 2-3 beeps very close together but is mostly just one beep. It is starting to worry me a little.
Here are a list of things I've done to try and resolve already:
Remove an USB devices that have been plugged in Clean the keyboard with compressed air incase this was caused by a stuck key Ran system check Cleaned up the C-Drive Ran a HDD check from booting up Checked eventvwr
Its only been happening since this new computer (win7 pro) was installed.. They have another computer with the same software/hardware configuration running in another studio that doesn't make the beeping sound.
