View 3 RepliesI own a Samsung QX410 and while I was browsing the Internet it crashed and would not start normally without crashing. So I've tried running Repair my system, even Repair my computer from my windows disk. But every time I do that it comes to a blue splash screen (with the bird, leaf, etc.) and it would not do anything. No options would come up and it would just sit there.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIf I try to install a driver and not all of the driver files are present, I will get the error message "The system cannot find the file specified." But the problem is that it doesn't actually tell me what file it can't find. There is a large empty space right underneath the error, as if something should be in that spot, but the file name is not listed there.(The above example is if you were to update the driver manually. Like if you were to click 'Update Driver', then 'Browse my computer for driver software', then 'Browse' to the directory with the INF file in it, and then click 'Next'.)In Windows XP, if you received the same error, it would show you the name of the missing file.

View 1 Replies View RelatedEver since a botched encryption which resulted in me having to format a drive (not the main c drive),everything I download gives this message when I try to open it -
"ShellExecuteEx failed; code 2.
The system cannot find the file specified."
I've tried changing the download location to various places, same thing, tried using iexporer, firefox (my default), chrome, same thing. -when I r-click, "run as administrator" it gives the following message (for instance w/wordpad):
"Windows cannot find 'E:/Downloads/wordpad.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."
A little condescending it seems to me, considering I didn't type anything, and simply tried to run the .exe from its download location. I've also gone into user accounts (I am the only account) and made sure I'm the administrator.
Is there a way to find out if a given *.exe file is 32bit or 64bit executable. The program should NOT be started (and investigated in TaskManager).
Conversly I could imagine that there is somewhere an analyze tool which shows this info to the user.
So yesterday in the early AM's I was browsing my internet and all the sudden, bam.i lost my internet.No reason at all, it just happened. This is only my computer, everything else works fine (If internet is out, our TV's don't work)When I go to my little internet icon in the taskbar, it says Unidentified Network and I have no internet access what so ever.When I run CMD and use ipconfig /release I get this:"An error occurred while releasing interface Loopback Pseudo-Interface 1 : The system cannot find the file specified."I also got this error before:"An error occurred while releasing interface Local Area Connection : An address has not yet been associated with the network endpoint." Tech support kept telling me to use ipconfig /flushdns but whenever I entered it into CMD it gave me an error saying something along the lines of "command unrecognized" I cannot give you guys the full text of what CMD says since it's on a different computer.I am using a direct ethernet cord, not wireless.
* ipconfig /release and /renew and /flushdns
* Turn off firewall
* Update and Reinstall Driver
* Restarting my modem/router
* Restarting my computer
* Unplugging my ethernet cord and replugging it (also leaving it unplugged over-night)
* Manually assigning the 12 code I'm assuming IP

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had Win 7 installed for a while now).
Here is a summary of my problem:
1) My computer recently got stuck on the "Starting Windows Screen." So I manually held the power button to reboot.
2) On reboot, it said there was a need to run a startup repair, which I did. Everything checked fine, except for the last one which said "System Volume on Disk is Corrupted," which it claimed to have successfully fixed.
3) After rebooting from repair, the system gets stuck on "Starting Windows Screen" for a good 10-15 minutes, after which it runs a registry check. After it completes that I get hopeful -- but the screen then gets stuck on an all black screen with just the mouse cursor and nothing more.
4) Additional note: Attempting to start the computer on "safe mode" leads safe mode startup to become stalled on "DRIVERSCLASSPNP.SYS"
5) The lastest attempt to repair yielded this message: "Startup repair cannot repair this computer automatically.
