Add Shutdown To Lock Screen
Aug 23, 2009anyone know how to do this, as it be a lot easier to have the shutdown menu there also and not having to click switch user.

Lock Screen
Sep 20, 2009I was recently poking about in the Group Policy Editor seeing if there were any changes between Vista and 7, but after I had exited and locked my computer I noticed my lock screen now shows as this:

(I had to use my phone as it seems you cannot use print screen at this login)
Normally it would have the persons picture and name, and all you would have to do is enter the password, but it seems it has made it so you have to enter the Username and Password which is quite an annoyance.
I went through all of the settings to make sure that I had not accidentally changed any, from what I saw I had not changed any settings or if there were in fact any settings that causes this behaviour.
How To Disable Screen Lock
Mar 25, 2011I've just upgraded from XP to Win 7 and its driving me mad! Evertime I leave my PC for a few minutes I come back and the screen is on some sort of neutral screensaver...and I have to renter my password to get back into Windows. I've gone into power management and selected 'high power' option, selected 'never' for sleep, hibernate and so forth..but still this infernal screen saver thing comes on dozens of times a day.

When we walk away from the computer for awhile and return to do something, the screen locks up and asks for a password which I recorded when we first set up the computer. Terminal Server Screen Won't Lock In Windows 7?
Jul 28, 2011my office has a terminal server and every time I launch it with dual monitors the terminal server windows do not lock at the maximum size. I can move the entire terminal server window up and down and side to side just by moving the mouse...it is irritating and not allowing me to use the computer efficiently.
If I use 1 monitor, the screen locks. The other guys in the office with Windows XP do not have this problem either.
Screen Goes Into Lock Mode When Left Idle?

Aug 5, 2011A flashing lock/unlock icon (padlock which alternates form locked to unlocked) shows in the middle of my screen. The machine was built a few years back and hasn't changed significantly since then The symptom has just begun today) and only impacts Windows. Sep 11, 2012When I shutdown, right near the end the screen goes black as one would expect and then for a fraction of a second I get BSOD and it will restart and let me know that it BSOD'ed. It's a new install of windows 7 on a new PC that is working well under stress testing. And i haven't messed with much but xbmc and some light overclocking without voltage changes. Jun 23, 2009I've found that when whenever I let my computer go to sleep, hibernate or restart it or shut it down then a blue screen will appear and restart the system. When the system comes to it will tell me the event name was Blue Screen and that the computer is recovering from a unexpected shutdown.I'm currently running my computer on the High Performance plan and not letting it go to any other mode?By the way, my system is a dual boot with Windows XP. XP is on my main drive and 7 is on my second drive.
