whenever I typed the letter T windows explorer would pop up, F the search Function would pop up, and b my computer would beep. I did not do anything to windows that I can remember that would account For this problem and I have not installed any new programs since Sept 3

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been having this issue where while I'm surfing the internet using Firefox, a blank window pops up and then disappears in the taskbar on the bottom. It's too quick to grab and find. I checked my running processes, nothing out of the ordinary. I ran a full blown virus scan with Norton AV Corporate, with all updates. I have ran Adware. with newest updates smart and full scan, PestPatrol (with newest updates), Aluria. And none of these has found anything. I even went into IE and Firefox and double-checked my plugins to make sure there are no strange plug ins which may have been spawning a process, and there is nothing out of the ordinary.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen shutting down my computer, I get a box that pops up and says program not responding C:documents/settings (that's the most I can see.. I can't see the whole path name). When I click on the end now, the error goes away and the computer shuts down properly. I looked in the task manager to see if anything was running and I didn't see anything and all programs look to be shut down before I tried to shut the computer down. I have Windows XP and I don't understand why something in C:documents/setting would be doing this.
View 1 Replies View RelatedFor several months now the address bar in Windows Explorer will not let me finish typing a directory, URL, or file name in the text box. It reverts and selects whatever is the current directory or takes a few characters of what I am typing. The only way I can put anything into the text box is to cut-and-paste it. The other account on this computer does not have this problem.
I have tried to turn off auto-complete and several other things, but nothing works. The address bar in IE does not behave like this which surprises me.
I tried to open zone alarm and AIM and got a pop up saying that C:/Program Files is corrupt. What? Then I got a yellow pop up in the lower right of my toolbar saying that its corupt and to run a chkdsk...Would it fix this? If not what? Why did this happen?

Then finally the browser loads, after that it will sometimes pop up during simple searches. I downloaded firefox, and it runs fine, but I'd like to fix this problem.

I've lost the system recovery disk buta friend gave me theirs. when I inserted it I was asked for a serial number and duly put in the one on the bottom of the laptop but it was rejected.Nothing would work so I exited the menu and went out and purchased a brand new copy of the O/S. However when I put the disc in it keeps taking me back to the old screen which asks me for a serial number and it wont accept the one form the disk I purchased.

'no active mixer devices available, to install mixer devices, go to control panel, click printers and other hardware and then click add hardware'
I hope some one out there able to help me. Everytime i run program, an error pops up>> ___.exe has generated some errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is created.

How can I start a program on Windows startup and set the window of the programm always on top. That means that no other program which starts as well on startup, can set his window activ. Just my program should always be on top.Is that possible with a VBScript?

I do not want to maximize, I just want it to be a little bigger. I resized to the size I want but when i create a new email it defaults back to the smaller size. On my desktop, all programs function fine. On the other desktop for the other user, when a program is launched, it opens up as a blank program window. I'm experiencing similar problems that RHCPfreak21 had reported (system freezing, Task Manager taking forever to open and end a program, etc.). Also, after startup, Internet Explorer won't open, so I have to restart, and then it opens. At shutdown, I've been receiving the following messages:

I've run several virus scans, and thank goodness none were found. However, the spyware scans found some files. Per your instructions to RHCPfreak21, I ordered AdWareSE 2007 to fix the AXWIN Frame Window error, and it found 19,372 infected files. All the files were from Wildtangent games. I started experiencing these problems the day after my niece had used my computer, and she likes to play Poker. She evidently went to a site that unleashed malware or something onto my computer without her knowing it. I'll find out tonight when I shutdown if it took care of the AXWIN Frame Window error. I hope so. I've also contacted Microsoft for the "hotfix" to fix the DDE Server message. I'm still waiting to hear from them.
every time i try to open anything that uses these programs i get a 'windows/internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close' crash i think i have a virus in my processes i have 2 strange ones one is n6tgoxae.exe the other is 86851316.exe norton fixes this is for a short while but then the problem soon returns i have also tried spybot search and destroy as well as running AdAware can anyone help me on how to fix my explorer problems and gettin rid of

just installed a new hard drive in my computer and now, every time I open any window at all, if I click "X" to close it out, an internet explorer page opens up that is blank. When I close that, I get a Windows Explorer error message that says "Windows Explorer needs to close". I'm thinking maybe there is a problem in the registry but don't know exactly how to go about fixing it.

Since installing IE 7 from the MS update site the program no longer works. The dialog box comes up but nothing happens when you click on a button to go to the site. Normally IE opens up and takes you to the site. I'm running Zone Alarm Internet security Suite and haven't changed anything in that program.
