Why is it when I open a web site in windows XP sp2, the opened window is too small. Of couse I can expaned it or max it bu twhen I go to another site, the same thing happens.Is there a setting somewhere that enables windows to open web site at max,automatically.

I recently put a new hard drive in my computer. Now whenever I try to start Windows Explorer or Internet Explorer the windows installer starts and the windows will not open until I have cancelled the installer several times. I scanned the registry with Registry Fix and fixed all problems. It still starts every time. Netscape has no like problem starting.

When I sign onto the internet via NetZero, their start page opens up sometimes, but usually it doesn't. If it does open, it takes a long time to load and I really can't do anything on that page anyway. I've been having this problem for about 2 weeks now, so over this time I've tried doing restore operation, using several different dates, but nothing has helped. I went to the control panel, folder options and set the radio button to open multiple folder windows. It will not do it. I can only open one folder view at a time. What am I doing wrong? View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a recent problem where my computer will spend anywhere from 5-10 seconds switching to a different window. It doesn't matter whether it is loaded or not. For instance, I'll have 2 MSN conversations open where I can see both at the same time, and no matter what I'm doing, it will take the same amount of time just to switch over to say "lol".
This is very annoying, because if an error comes up (in any program) that requires opening a new window, it will take 10 seconds to load, and then 10 seconds to respond to me clicking "ok". I am wasting so much time waiting, and it is becoming one of the most aggravating issues I've ever had.
This also applies to clicking on anything on the start bar at any time, minimizing, maximizing, or changing size to any window ever. It doesn't effect anything that happens within any programs itself that aren't window related.
I'm using XP and have 2 gb of RAM.

When I open "my computer" or "control panel" after I close it...it automatically goes into Internet Explorer as a blank page. It stops half way and another window pops up that says Installation error file not found. A required installation file SKU112.CAB could not be found. Original installation source required. If you installed Microsoft office standard edition 2003 over your computer network please browse to the installation source on your computer. Also a window popped up that says Microsoft word has not been installed for the current user. Please run setup to install application. I don't have the cd its lost. This just started doing this about a month ago. I can't open any files through microsoft office word or power point.
The IEXPLORE.EXE still reside im my PC memory after I close the IE window.
With task mamanger, I can see there are many IEXPLORE.EXE running. But, I already close all of them.
I ran 3 ad-ware, spybot, MS antispyware. Removed all the spyware by those 3 spyware detector.
its been about 3 or 4 months since i built this computer there have been no hardware problems but recently windows keep opening tabs. while playing a game it would minimize but there is no other window, there would be sounds that explorer would open new tabs.
