Does anyone know how i can set internet explorer so that every time i run it the text size is default "larger"? it always comes up medium on my laptop, and that's too small. i always go to "view", "text size" and change it to "larger", but the next time i boot up, it defaults back to "medium". I want it to always stay on "larger".
View 2 RepliesIE started acting funny in that it started displaying text very small. For example, on this very site's homepage, under Tom's pic in the welcome section, the text is very small. It used to be very clear and readable, but now its a real strain on the eyes. Its happening on all pages, not just this one.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSome time ago, I must have inadvertently "pushed a button" and the page size for Internet Explorer changed from "normal" to "magnified". I can't figure out how to change it back. Going into control panel and changing the screen resolution size has absolutely no effect. (I never re-adjusted the screen size anyway). It's so annoying to have to constantly work the page bars up and down, back and forth! I think the same thing has happened to AOL.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI was in a program that ran a 1280X1024 4XAaliasing 32 bit color and I was also watching a movie from netflix in the background(talk about multitasking). My normal desktop settings are 1024X768 16 bit color. I switched to view a nice scene in the movie to the movie and then switched back to the program. Problem was when I switched to the program the computer sort of pinged 3 times quickly and then reset.Now in various odd places instead of text I see odd shapes like empty white or black squares, circles, lines or triangles/arrows. It's sort of like wingdings characthers or like characthers that the computer doesn't recognize. Immediately after the restart I switched the DPI in display setting from like 95-96 to 120DPI.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI turned it on and loaded up Simply Accounting.I noticed that the program window fonts were too small.I thought this had to be a simply accounting problem as i didn’t notice anything odd with my other Windows font in windows explorer.After doing some exploring i found that it was not only Simply Accounting, but other windows programs were affected as well.I looked in the typical windows appearance settings and saw that all was untouched.

Each page I open I have to keep manually altering the zoom function and when working on quite a few pages at a time its getting tedious!

As an exmple, the background for Yahoo is white even though I have tried to change it to a theme that yahoo offers. The text size also is too big and all over the place- looks weird. I have tried everything I can think of but i am a novice and am wondering if there is some simple answer here or something else I can try? Is it XP or a problem with my browser? MSN also has only a white background with big letters that look awkward. If I try to change the background to blue, it won't do it. It's driving me nuts!

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have two pc laptops on one everything is great, in color and you can view everything as you would expect ie tab options and backgrounds. on the second (compaq presario 2200 laptop windows xp home) you cannot see tab options and internet page backgrounds, borders, tabs are all white and the text is in back or white text boxes (colour is also shown on the pages) i have tried to show axtive x etc and i do not have anything like norton oporating. i have been through nearly every setting but cannot work out why my laptop is veiwing its display like this and how to ammend it.

This isn't a problem with the websites as I've tried them on another PC and they come up fine.The info bar at the bottom says that the images are downloading but it's happening really slowly and even when it finishes there's still nothing.Before that happens it also says "error on page" then "done but with errors on page".

View 3 Replies View RelatedUsing Partition Expert on a master HDD with two partitions I resized the second partiton down by about 8 GB, then resized the C partition from 10 to 18.25 GB. Committed Operation. Seemed to be doing fine, next time I looked at the screen it was blue and it said the system had encountered a problem and Windows was shut down to prevent damage. The PC rebooted fine and everything works OK. However, Explorer says the size of the two partitons is 10 GB and 20 GB, somewhere I lost 8.25 GB (which is the least of my worries anyway)Defrag says the same thing, however, Partition Expert says the partitions are 18.25 GB and 20GB. And this is what Windows Disk Manager says: In the top panel it says the partitons are 10 GB and 20 GB.
