How To Set Text Size To Default Wordpad?
Aug 8, 2006How do I set the text size to default to 12 when Wordpad is opened? t defaults to 10 & that's too small to comfortably view when I type long messages. I'm using Windows XP SP2.

Jul 23, 2005I have my text size set at Largest in the view menu on IE6, lately it isn't working and I am really having some serious problems I had a cornea transplant last Jan and I have not gotten new contacts yet, ( my Doc told me I am good to go for using the puter, in case anyone's concern) I HATE HATE ATE the magnifier, its very disorienting, so what could possibly be causing this, my spyware sanners turn up nothing Norton turns up nothing, I went t0o a sight for ASAP or some thing for "professionals" thru a link on the board, and I got an X-Clean thing, I figured it was safe cause another member had it as a link, was I hijacked someplace else. Could this be the problem?

Feb 16, 2009Anybody know how to permanently set the Zoom function for every Explorer page you open to different than the set 100%.The reason is I have just purchased a new 20" widescreen and it seems the only method of obtaining larger screen inages using the recommended resolution.Everything is so small! Each page I open I have to keep manually altering the zoom function and when working on quite a few pages at a time its getting tedious!

Jul 23, 2005I am using Windows XP and for about 2 months (I guess) certain websites look funny. As an exmple, the background for Yahoo is white even though I have tried to change it to a theme that yahoo offers. The text size also is too big and all over the place- looks weird. I have tried everything I can think of but i am a novice and am wondering if there is some simple answer here or something else I can try? Is it XP or a problem with my browser? MSN also has only a white background with big letters that look awkward. If I try to change the background to blue, it won't do it. It's driving me nuts!

Whenever I plug in my flash drive, the window size is max. I already have remember folder size enabled, but it appears that each of the scenerios above are not included in this "memory" So the question is, how do I set the default size for each of the above to something other that max?

Mar 9, 2010I've been searching for most parts of the net and the forums here and did install uninstall restore my notepad, paint and wordpad but nothing seems to work.When these files are opened, nothing seems to be a problem. But whenever you attempt to save by Ctrl+S, or the by clicking File>Save or File>Save As the program automatically closes. This has been a consistent behavior for the 3 softwares.I'm using Windows XP 64 bit OS and had no error messages of any sort except that these programs just close themselves when a save attempt is done.I did virus and malware scans by Avast, ESET Nod & Kaspersky and nothing was detected.Reinstalling isn't an option for me now as I don't have any optical drive... besides, this may be very hard for me but I'm willing to suffer for the sake of learning.

Dec 23, 2009I am using an elderly 3M LCD projection panel on an overhead prjector for big screen Tv, driven by XP pro SP3. The panel has no controls for vertical/horizontal size and whatever monitor is used, an OS desktop fills the screen by default. I can resize the window for the TV viewing program in the normal way,just filling my projection screen, but the XP desktop is far too large.Does anyone know of a way to change the physical size of the desktop (including the taskbar) so that it sits in the LCD screen with a blank border all around, or maybe even make it custom resizeable as in a program window ( without changing the resolution)?

Jan 8, 2007I am having difficulty with text diplaying in bizarre fashion. The machine is a Dell Optiplex tower operating Windows XP Pro. When I am in an application or browsing web pages and choose one of the dropdown boxes, the box drops down and shows the outside lines of the box. Then when you swipe your cursor over the dropdown it will display the text that is invisible. All that I have to do to show the text is pass the cursor over the area. If I do not swipe the are with the cursor the text will be there, I assume, but never display.Has anyone encountered this issue before.
