Is there a tweak (prefferably) or free/safe utility that can be used to lock a browser window, program window would also be helpful, at full screen as to not allow users to do/access anything but whatever is inside that window? I have a an XP Pro machine and in the future Vista.I have searched but not found anything under the terms I have used.

I am a network administrator and I would like to lock the company's wireless profile to the top of the list, and to prevent deletion or editing. The computers are on a domain fyi, and they must still have administrator rights.
Is it possible to disable the uninstallation of a program? I need to disable the uninstallation of a software that our company needs, while still allowing users to have administrator rights. Again, these computers are on a domain, and the user has a administrator account. Is it possible to change program uninstallation rights to only allow the domain administrator to uninstall the program? Or is it possible to edit the registry or something? I only need the restriction to this program.
When I click a link, the windows icon in the top right moves. As soon as I move my mouse that icon stops and I have no idea why this happens. It does not happen all the time and I have played around with it to isolate which windows and when it happens.....but it's not just my computer, but my work computer as well.

On my desktop, all programs function fine. On the other desktop for the other user, when a program is launched, it opens up as a blank program window. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an HP Pavilion dv6110us laptop that is running on Windows XP Media Center Edition Version 2002, and I'm using CA Security Center 2008, which was a recent upgrade that I installed. I'm experiencing similar problems that RHCPfreak21 had reported (system freezing, Task Manager taking forever to open and end a program, etc.). Also, after startup, Internet Explorer won't open, so I have to restart, and then it opens. At shutdown, I've been receiving the following messages:

DDE Server
mdmcls32.exe
I've run several virus scans, and thank goodness none were found. However, the spyware scans found some files. Per your instructions to RHCPfreak21, I ordered AdWareSE 2007 to fix the AXWIN Frame Window error, and it found 19,372 infected files. All the files were from Wildtangent games. I started experiencing these problems the day after my niece had used my computer, and she likes to play Poker. She evidently went to a site that unleashed malware or something onto my computer without her knowing it. I'll find out tonight when I shutdown if it took care of the AXWIN Frame Window error. I hope so. I've also contacted Microsoft for the "hotfix" to fix the DDE Server message. I'm still waiting to hear from them.
I am sure that everyone knows that you can lock your account in XP, blah, blah.But if I am doing something important, I don't want other administrators to be able to log me off!Is there a registry key/local poicy/other solution so that only I can unlock my account when I lock it?

When I open Internet Explorer, my home page (www.google.com) opens.When it is finished loading, it automatically redirets to yahoo mail login page. The catch is, all my browsers windows that are open will be changed too. If I hit "stop" before the page is loaded, then hit "refresh", this action does not occur. When i open any link with "open in new window" the new window is not full size screen window.Of course i dragged it by mouse many times and that should fix it later.It means it should be opened as it had been dragged,but that's never happened though i dragged it about a hundred time as a full screen size.What is the wrong here?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI work as a technician in a number of Primary Schools and I have been asked by some of the schools if there is a way to ensure that Number Lock is switched off on all machines before they log in. I have done a few searches on google but have no results that work.I have tried editing the registry however this only works AFTER they have logged in. Disabling Num Lock at boot in bios doesn't work as windows likes to override this setting.The reason i have been asked for this is that the schools have Laptops which the children use and when they are typing in their usernames they are obviously getting a mixture of numbers and letters in the username field.Does anyone have ANY ideas how i can disable the number lock at boot?

Windows Explorer - Norton Utilities/Antivirus - Belarc Advisor - Ewido Easycleaner.Other programs such as - Internet Explorer - SisoftSandra - Aol - Windows XP system Restore - will "almost always" cause the pc to Lock/Freeze with no use of the mouse/keyboard or access to the Task Manager to close the program.The lock-up's appear to occur when I try to run Internet based programs such as AOL - IE but will also freeze with SisoftSandra & the XP Restore facility? Very occasionally I can start/run AOL - IE and all other programs without problems but these occurences are few and far between.
