How can i get the window of a program to stay the same size that i resize it to. I have Act and when i create a new email message the window is very small. I do not want to maximize, I just want it to be a little bigger. I resized to the size I want but when i create a new email it defaults back to the smaller size. Is there a trick to get the windows to stick to that size?

I used to be able to right click on a file, go to "send to", "mail recipient" and have a wizard pop up that would allow me to resize images for the email.. but no longer. On my desktop, all programs function fine. On the other desktop for the other user, when a program is launched, it opens up as a blank program window. IE opens fine, but other programs such as McAfee and other certain Microsoft Office programs will open but not fully execute.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an HP Pavilion dv6110us laptop that is running on Windows XP Media Center Edition Version 2002, and I'm using CA Security Center 2008, which was a recent upgrade that I installed. I'm experiencing similar problems that RHCPfreak21 had reported (system freezing, Task Manager taking forever to open and end a program, etc.). Also, after startup, Internet Explorer won't open, so I have to restart, and then it opens. At shutdown, I've been receiving the following messages:

I've run several virus scans, and thank goodness none were found. However, the spyware scans found some files. Per your instructions to RHCPfreak21, I ordered AdWareSE 2007 to fix the AXWIN Frame Window error, and it found 19,372 infected files. All the files were from Wildtangent games. I started experiencing these problems the day after my niece had used my computer, and she likes to play Poker. She evidently went to a site that unleashed malware or something onto my computer without her knowing it. I'll find out tonight when I shutdown if it took care of the AXWIN Frame Window error. I hope so. I've also contacted Microsoft for the "hotfix" to fix the DDE Server message. I'm still waiting to hear from them.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI installed Windows XP Home on a barebones computer, and mistakenly made the partition for the C drive much smaller (1.96 G with only 33MB free) than the D drive (1.6 G used, 24.9 G Free). Now I keep getting low disk messages. I want to resize the partitions so that the C Drive is larger without having to reformat both drives if that's possible. The file system on the C drive is NTFS and FAT32 on the D drive.CPU is 1.3 Ghz Athlon with 120 RAM.

View 8 Replies View RelatedMy computer keeps freezing for no reason at all. It starts up normally, and everything loads just fine. I go to open MSN for example, it opens, but I try to do anything inside of that program like open up a new window and it freezes. I press end now and it doesn't close no matter what, even after hours. I minimize it, go to desktop, try to open a folder and explorer freezes. At this point nothing opens up nothing works and I restart.

I have a lot of folders on my pc so from time to time I go into the folder options and in the folder views sections I click "Reset all folders" The other day I opened up my computer and the panel on the right loaded then disappeared and then the search icon came up (torch and folder thing) and I guess it searches for the hard drives then after a bit of searching it loads them which is really annoying.

the desktop icon size - have an 17" monitor and set resolution size to 1152x864 - but now the middle button on top right corner of screen will not not revert back to the double square allowing me to minimize my window - it seems to be stuck in Maximum size so I have to reduce the screen with the cursor, otherwise I loose everything above the Function Bar of File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, etc. I tried lowering the resolution, but that did not seem to work either...also when I click on this middel button between _ and X - it enlarges beyond my screen size and I cannot scroll
How do I move or resize this window?. I have so many programs that I cannot

I installed kubuntu 8.10 from live cd in my new IBM lenovo R61 laptop. I had a Windows XP SP3 pre installed as a single complete partition. I defragmented and compacted the drive using ultradefrag and started kubuntu install. In ultradefrag, I could see that all the data was in the first 30% of the drive, the remaining was free space. In Kubuntu install, I did a resize to 50 % and installed kubuntu in the freespace. The resize went without any problems, installation went good, I could boot into kubuntu after the install. But, the problem is, XP displays a BSOD with 0x0000007B error. After i select windows from GRUB, I get the option from windows whether to start normally or go to safe mode or ..... But whatever option i choose, I get this blue screen.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled it several times with a new copy of the program downloaded from Microsoft. The program menu shows up when I right click a picture and it appears to work when you click OK but nothing happens. I have searched the hard drive to see if it is putting the new picture in another directory but it is not. It is simply not creating the new, resized picture.

Today when i start my computer, it goes through the normal things the hard drives and stuff except for one thing different, it shows me 5 options on how to boot: start normally, safe and etc. I choose normal thinking that theres no problem with my computer. Once it goes to the window loading screen, after 5 seconds it restarts. Then it goes through the same thing over and over. I don't know what to do to fix this problem.
