Installshield Wizard Won't Uninstall Program Marked

My husband and I have tried to uninstall his Medal of Honor game using the control panel program change/remove with no success. Everytime we click on the icon change/remove it acts as if it's going to remove it but then it doesn't. This game has used 2,000 kb space on our computer and we are trying to free this space. Somehow the game has the icon for Wildtangent Games in the front of it and it is not part of that system. We have already removed the Wildtangent program and other Medal of Honor games successfully however, this one Medal of Honor game seems unable to be removed regardless of all our efforts. Can anyone please help us? We've done everything we know to do with no success.

I've been trying to install the game Battlefield 2 on my PC (Pentium 4, 2.4 GHZ, 1024 MB RAM). However, after I press install, the InstallShield installer seems to gets stuck instantly whilst displaying the message "configuring your new software installation". The same thing happened when I tried to uninstall another game, Delta Force Xtreme, and also when I tried to install the MYOB Accounting program. I thought that maybe re-installing Service Pack 2 might help - but unfortunately that too uses the InstallShield Wizard and got stuck on the "inspecting configuration" message. The only way I can quit the installation from here is to End Task from the Task Manager.

i bought a game that need 10 gig but i partition c drivve to 20 gig only and i tried everything to get more disk space but still i got not enough.Installshield wizard doesnt let me install in E: drive which is my secondary drive.i have plenty of space there but i cant install it there,why?

I have been trying to install some software for a web cam for quite some time now. However everytime I do try it will begin installing and then installshield wizard will minimise itself and stay that way.I have tried everything i can think of like installing in safe mode, turning off anti virus and all that jazz. When i try installing in safe mode it comes up with a different error saying: 1607 unable to install installshieldwizars scripting runtime.

I have a problem with my Installshield engine, and so I am unable to install/uninstall programs. I am running Windows XP home on a pentium IV, 2.4 GHZ with 512 ram. I think the problem started when I was installing a program called eBay Blackthorne from a download. Now, any install/uninstall is affected.
The error is "Internal error # 2738".

I can no longer install any program with installshield. The process goes about 3/4th the way through and hangs up, no error message, it just stops. I have been able to install a program in safe mode but the program then does not work correctly. I also tried to uninstall a program and that process hangs up also.

When trying to install a program on my Pc i get an error from installshield. "1607: Unable to install InstallShield Scripting Runtime." I read another post about this very issue on this site but the link given and the Installshield website as a whole have been down for the past 3 days.I need the ISScript7.zip file if possible to start my project.

On many occasions when I try to install various programs the Installshield wizard starts running and withing 1-2 seconds after the initial screen the program disappears with no errors or anything. I can never get the program or driver installed.

Cannot download latest i-tunes/quicktime program. Error message directs me to install latest version "isscript.msi". Same error. Even Loaded new driver. Same error..."install script engine on this machine is older than the version required to run set-up." I have no other downloading problems.

When I try to install something that uses InstallShield I get the error The InstallShield Engine (iKernel.exe) could not be launched. Access is denied. I have full admin privileges and have tried using the dcomcnfg to see if I my privilages have changed. But dcomcnfg closes whenever I try to access the "Component ServicesComputers" section.

I just recently ran in to a problem with the CD wizardof Windows XP.When I try to burn data on to a CD it keeps telling me to insert a disk into the drive, even though there is a disk in the machine.I have used other programs such as Musicmatch and HP's program called ecordnow and all work just fine.
I have tried to uninstall and then reinstall the drive but to no avail.

Recently I tried to run my Autocad program. It faulted on an error stating that it couldn't create files in the Temp directory and that I should check to see if it was marked Read Only. I found that the entire drive is marked Read Only. When I went to Properties and tried to reset it to normal it went right back to Read Only. I was able to create a new Adminstrator User on my PC to get around the problem, but that means all my user settings are lost. It appears that I have lost administrative rights to the drive. All my other apps seem to work fine. How do I correct the problem without loosing my current user configurations. Why doesn't Windows XP allow one to copy or save a user configuration?

How to delete a program that won't uninstall through the add or remove programs in the control panel.
Step # 1.Go to this site and download Microsofts uninstaller and run it and if the program you want to get rid of is on the list select it and remove from your computer.
Step # 2. Click on start , click on run, type regedit, and when it opens click on HKey local machine, Software, Microsoft, Windows, Current Version, click on the plus sign for uninstall and it opens all the programs installed on your computer , scroll and see if the program you want to get rid of is on the listif it is right click on it and delete it.
Step # 3. Click on start, click on run, type msconfig, and when it opens click on BOOT.INI and check the box that says, SAFE MODE. Boot the computer to safe mode and when it opens click on DRIVE C and click on program files and click on the folder of the program you want to delete from your computer and delete it. Then click on the common files folder and see if it is in there and if it is delete it. Important now, go back to click on start, click on run, type msconfig, and when it opens click on BOOT.INI and uncheck the box that says, SAFE MODE or you will boot to safe mode again.Once I remembered doing all the above steps and it still started up so I ran hijackthis and deleted the entries and it was gone for good.

I had the program "Reallusion ItsMe" and it quit working for me, so wanted to reinstall it. However, when I used Add/Remove, it gave me the message that "error installing ikernel.exe: (0 x 10000)." I thought I would remove the non-working program manually, so I deleted all the files. I then removed the entry from the registry. I did a search for anymore files with the same name and found a few and deleted those too. Well I tried to reinstall the program again and keep getting a message that there is a previous version in my system and it can't install. Geesh, what more do I have to do? There is no previous program left as far as I know, the only one left is in the Add/Remove list.

I am trying to uninstall a casino program,and when I try in Add/Remove, all I get is a window saying Could not find installation path. Uninstall aborted.I checked in the start>programs, and it's not even there. I looked in the folder,and there's no uninstall there either.I'm pretty sure there's a corrupted file or two, so I deleted the file that's associated with the game that we play, and tried to reinstall the program hoping the bad file would be replaced.

When you uninstall, or in the add/remove program delete, do all the items of the program uninstall. Especially the drivers, I am having a small problem on the computer and I know its due to an unapproved windows driver installed by accident for my sandisk reader. when i restart my computer the volume icon on the taskbar does not show up so i go into the control panel/sound & audio devices and the checkmark is still there saying place volume icon on taskbar so i uncheck then apply and check again and apply it comes up then i go to restart my computer again and its gone yet again how do i keep the volume icon from disappearing?

I have Windows XP Home installed on my computer as my OS. Recently, I've been cleaning out my computer by uninstalling programs that I haven't used for a while. However, the uninstallation of some programs fails. For example, I have a software called JapaneseNow! (to learn Japanese) installed on my computer. However, trying to uninstall it pops up the error message that "Uninst.isu" cannot be found and therefore the uninstallation cannot continue. I recently installed Windows Live One Care on my computer. After installing it, I attempted to open it but had no success. An error message pops up and says "Windows Live One Care has encountered a problem and needs to close." It gives me the option to Send Error Report or to Not Send Error Report. This happens constantly everyime i try to open it. I can not reinstall this program because it is not listed in my Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs. Is it possible to lock down a profile in WZC (Windows Wireless)? I am a network administrator and I would like to lock the company's wireless profile to the top of the list, and to prevent deletion or editing. The computers are on a domain fyi, and they must still have administrator rights.
Is it possible to disable the uninstallation of a program? I need to disable the uninstallation of a software that our company needs, while still allowing users to have administrator rights. Again, these computers are on a domain, and the user has a administrator account. Is it possible to change program uninstallation rights to only allow the domain administrator to uninstall the program? Or is it possible to edit the registry or something? I only need the restriction to this program.

I've just downloaded the trial version of Zonealarm security suite from its official website. But after I restarted my computer, the program didn't seem to work, even when I manually clicked on it. I recently replaced my old harddisk to a new harddisk. The old harddisk has windows xp home and other programs installed.I did not format the old harddisk, I only took out the old harddisk and replaced it with a new harddisk. I then installed windows xp home to the new hard disk.While I am installing programs on the new harddisk, I discovered that one of the programs do not allow me to activate the program license because I have previously activated the program on my old windows. I need to do a proper uninstallation to release the license, then I can activate the license of the program in the new hard disk.My question is, can I take out my current new harddisk, replace it with the old harddisk, boot up as normal into the old harddisk windows, uninstall the program inside the old harddisk, then replace the old hardisk with my new harddisk again.

Am Running Windows XP home with SP2 on a P4 machine,everything running smoothly except that I tried to uninstall a program through the control panel-add/remove route and even though most programs are listed there, only a few of them like 5 out of 40 odd have the change/remove button when the particular program name is clicked. It just shows size, used frequency and last used on, I cannot uninstall those programs incl. the officeXP package. I am absolutely sure all this was possible few days back and tried to get my system back to a 7-8 day restore point but this does not help as well
