an so on.im not in safe mode.also i keep getting error 1068.and error 1607 error runtime script.i need some simple fixes and ones that worked i have tried several different ones with no succcess.
I had the program "Reallusion ItsMe" and it quit working for me, so wanted to reinstall it. However, when I used Add/Remove, it gave me the message that "error installing ikernel.exe: (0 x 10000)." I thought I would remove the non-working program manually, so I deleted all the files. I then removed the entry from the registry. I did a search for anymore files with the same name and found a few and deleted those too. Well I tried to reinstall the program again and keep getting a message that there is a previous version in my system and it can't install. Geesh, what more do I have to do? There is no previous program left as far as I know, the only one left is in the Add/Remove list.

View 11 Replies View RelatedHad problem for last week, installing and uninstalling any software.... ended up resorting to fresh win 2000 installation on fresh, newly formatted hard drive and still have same problems..I have only service pack 1 on my win 2000, and on trying to download SP4, it downloads, then stops on 'extracting files' says extraction failed, the system cannot find the file specified, and i have the same problem with any program or updates i try to download, which doesnt help me solve my problem.
Basically, i cannot install/uninstall anything, plus, i use Norton internet security, and for some reason, the liveupdate isn't working.... i get message saying failed to launch liveupdate, its not the only thing that has suddenly stopped working... Like i said, this is all a fresh installation on new hard drive, only 2 days ago, and these were same problems i had before this new installation? i cant understand how they're still there!!
I had a virus problem which was solved in security forum. Later a fresh problem started with MS office 2K. When ever I started any office application windows installer window popped up & the application started freezing up.I tried to un-install the Office Suite through Add/Remove programmes but same problem occured.So i tried un-installation by eraser2K programme,which did the un-installation.Now I am unable to re-install Office suite.

I think the problem started when I was installing a program called eBay Blackthorne from a download. Now, any install/uninstall is affected.
The error is "Internal error # 2738".
I am having a driver problem, which i find to be very weird. I cannot install, or uninstall a driver, nor can i disable on from device manager. When i try to do any of these I get either a "run DLL as an App has enountered a problem and needs to close" or if trying to do something from device manager, I get Microsoft Management Console has enountered a problem and needs to close. In the first case I believe the file was sysag.api in the second the file causing an error is mmc.exe.

After placing it into the floppy drive and rebooting as directed, the program began to boot but hung up about halfway through the process and the PC would not boot until I removed the flopppy and then all worked well, except.now the floppy drive will not respond to any commands and the PC freezes completely. It will not respond until I manually shut it down from the tower button. Once I fire it up again all is well until the same happens if I try to use the floppy drive.

Step # 1.Go to this site and download Microsofts uninstaller and run it and if the program you want to get rid of is on the list select it and remove from your computer.
Step # 2. Click on start , click on run, type regedit, and when it opens click on HKey local machine, Software, Microsoft, Windows, Current Version, click on the plus sign for uninstall and it opens all the programs installed on your computer , scroll and see if the program you want to get rid of is on the listif it is right click on it and delete it.
Step # 3. Click on start, click on run, type msconfig, and when it opens click on BOOT.INI and check the box that says, SAFE MODE. Boot the computer to safe mode and when it opens click on DRIVE C and click on program files and click on the folder of the program you want to delete from your computer and delete it. Then click on the common files folder and see if it is in there and if it is delete it. Important now, go back to click on start, click on run, type msconfig, and when it opens click on BOOT.INI and uncheck the box that says, SAFE MODE or you will boot to safe mode again.Once I remembered doing all the above steps and it still started up so I ran hijackthis and deleted the entries and it was gone for good.
I am trying to uninstall a casino program,and when I try in Add/Remove, all I get is a window saying Could not find installation path. Uninstall aborted.I checked in the start>programs, and it's not even there. I looked in the folder,and there's no uninstall there either.I'm pretty sure there's a corrupted file or two, so I deleted the file that's associated with the game that we play, and tried to reinstall the program hoping the bad file would be replaced.

"Faulting Application fs9.exe, version 9.0.0.30612, Faulting module fsui dll, version 9.0.0.30612, fault address 0x00032ef0. Cannot get anywhere with M/Soft Help. I have a massive amount of added planes,scenery,textures gauges etc and would hate to loose it all and have to reload the original. The files are to big to backup so I hope that there is a way to repair the fault address item.

Their shortcuts, as well as the actual program executables, lose their original icons and are mysteriously changed to the generic window icon (the one Windows will use for a file type is doesn't recognize.) When I try to run these programs, using the desktop shortcut OR the actual executable, I get the error dialog box: "This program is not a valid Win32 application." This happens to several applications, while others (Pro Tools, Acid) remain unaffected and can be executed w/o any problem.

Everytime we click on the icon change/remove it acts as if it's going to remove it but then it doesn't. This game has used 2,000 kb space on our computer and we are trying to free this space. Somehow the game has the icon for Wildtangent Games in the front of it and it is not part of that system. We have already removed the Wildtangent program and other Medal of Honor games successfully however, this one Medal of Honor game seems unable to be removed regardless of all our efforts. The old harddisk has windows xp home and other programs installed.I did not format the old harddisk, I only took out the old harddisk and replaced it with a new harddisk. I then installed windows xp home to the new hard disk.While I am installing programs on the new harddisk, I discovered that one of the programs do not allow me to activate the program license because I have previously activated the program on my old windows. I need to do a proper uninstallation to release the license, then I can activate the license of the program in the new hard disk.My question is, can I take out my current new harddisk, replace it with the old harddisk, boot up as normal into the old harddisk windows, uninstall the program inside the old harddisk, then replace the old hardisk with my new harddisk again.
