View 1 RepliesI bought a new laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit a couple of months ago and havent been able to print anything at all. The printers that i have are HP Officejet K7100, HP Deskjet 960c. Both printers are recognized and the status on the control panel is all good, until i actually print something, thats when the spooler seems to begin the print job but it just ends up saying theres an error and no page is actually printed.

I have been able to network the two computers, meaning I am able to create a file on the Mac and save it on the Toshiba and vice-versa. But I am unable to print a document from the Mac on the Canon printer which is connected to the Windows laptop. I think I correctly followed instructions here.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have recently installed Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit and when I print anything on my Lexmark E120 laser printer and select Two-Sided printing, it prints out instructions for doing this. As I already know how to use my printer, I would like to stop it printing out instructions and wasting paper.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm having sporadic issues with many users connected over the network to a print server. If the printer is their default printer the application used to print will freeze/lockup until they log out / restart their machine. The only way to fix this (from my experience) is to set their default printer to something else (like Adobe PDF) or bypass the print server completely and do it by direct TCP/IP.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Windows 7 machine, 64bit running Ultimate. I am trying to get it to print to a Canon iR C3220. I have the 64bit Canon iR C3220-C2 PCL5c driver installed which works fine on 4 other machine of the same specs. On one machine though when printing anything, the document is sent to the printer but the user has to manually clear the message to "load more paper", and there is already full trays in there, so the document is printed. If there is more than one document to print the user has to stand by the machine and press the "load more paper" to print the next document.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Windows 7 pro x64 system will not play the "Print Complete" sound after printing a document.I get the pop-up saying that the print job has completed, just like it did with Win XP. However, the sound is not played. The sounds applet in control panel has the "Print Complete" sound defined correctly and the Test button plays the sound. So I do not have an audio problem, and the .wav file is not blocked.I have looked for any options that could control the sound, but have not found any.

I selected all the options which are related to this problem and nothing solved the problem....I found out that if i check the duplex option this problem occurs and if i don't select this option the coloured dots don't appear in grayscale mode. Can this problem came from the Windows driver or Windows print wizard...? I have the Canon driver installed and i have Windows 7
View 9 Replies View RelatedCan't get CANON BJC 210 to print from XP MODE. Everything goes to PRINT QUEUE, and there appears no connection or communication with the LPT port. Windows print troubleshooting no help, and even printing attempts from command prompt results in nothing happening. Printer responds normally to beeps from holding down the power button, but nothing from print tests or commands from the computer.XP MODE works fine otherwise.I've made sure printer is online and tried unplugging and plugging back in the power supply several times. This particular printer model won't install in WIN 7, but worked perfectly in WIN XP prior to upgrade. Also careful to inactivate the USB option during installation with updated driver.

View 6 Replies View RelatedSo, I installed windows 7 ultimate with 2 drives. I'm running on a MB with an AHCI (ICH10R SATA controller - No extra drivers needed. Windows 7 sees the drives fine during install). It did the normal thing on 1 drive of making a system reserved partition with all the bootmgr and BCD stuff. I'm not able to mirror it. But, I was able to mirror the main installation partition.
Forward a few days - Drive 1 (the one with the "System" (BCD and bootmgr) and the main installlation) dies. Now I have another drive with just the main installation. Of course, I can't boot anymore.
OK, I think - I'll add the missing boot files to the still working drive. I boot the install CD, go into a CMD prompt. Break the mirror, and make the working partition standalone. I copy bootmgr onto the drive's root, create a "Boot" folder. A run diskpart and mark the partition as active. I run bootrec/rebuildbcd (which works and finds my installation), bootrec/fixmbr (also works) and bootrec/fixboot (also works). Great, so now I can boot?
Wrong. I just get a blinking cursor on trying to boot. I've run through the GUI repair, and still no go. I cannot figure out what's missing.
So, the bottom line is - If you're using a mirror thinking you're safe - Think again. Your data will be safe, but forget ever booting that installation again.
Im getting a new harddrive, after being annoyed endlessly by loading objects in games (5400 rpm/uber slow). However I only have the upgrade version of Windows 7 Professional. So my question is can I use Windows 7 backup image to restore the image on a different hard drive to boot from? I do have multiple computers available incase I need them.
I know the best way is to use a Drive image utility, however I am not fond of paying extra $$ since I am on a strict budget at the moment. I need alternatives to fresh install because it would take me days to redownload or reinstall all the setup.
Mostly CS4 is what concerns me (legit). Now I could have it reinstalled but I won't be able to for a while due to the missing key/discs.
