View 9 Replies View RelatedOk this is wierd I have a client using Office 2007 pro and some of her docs that she recently updated and the problem is when she prints the docs text that she deleted is printing over the top of new text she inserted into the doc.
Now when you have said doc open in WORD the deleted text is not there in any view and does NOT show in "print preview".
I opened said doc with WORDPAD and the deleted text shows up at the bottom so its still in the word doc somewhere imbedded so it prints over the top of the actual text in the doc.
I'm trying to print a report to a text file, but no luck yet. I know i had done it few month ago using Windows XP.I need to transfer data from my application to Excel and the easiest way is to print info as a .txt file and read it with Excel?
View 4 Replies View RelatedSystem is HP desktop running W7-64 bit. Printer is HP Photosmart 7350, old but working perfectly until 2 days ago. Driver is Deskjet 5550 (closest one for this printer).
I've reinstalled the driver, plugged and unplugged the printer, and tried to print from different programs. As soon as the print button is selected the error condition shows in the Devices & Printers section. This happens whether the printer is turned on or not.
What can I do to get the printer running again?
All of a sudden my printer isn't "connected" to my laptop...it says "it's offline" I've NEVER worked "offline" and I need to print some important information out to FAX to my ins. co. asap

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a desktop computer and a laptop at home. The desktop is connected via CAT5 to the modem. The laptop is connected to the same modem and the same network, but via a wireless signal. Both desktop and laptop are Windows 7 Home Premium x64. Both desktop and laptop belong to the same homegroup/workgroup. It is possible to see shared files between the computers no problem. File sharing is enabled on both computers and works normally. So far, so good. However, I am unable to print from my laptop in a very peculiar way. I'll simply say what goes on (rather than attempt to analyse) so you can judge for yourself:When I print from the desktop: Print job goes into print queue. I am able to see the document in the print queue, on both the desktop and laptop (i.e. Laptop detects the correct printer and sees there's a document queued). Document prints as expected, and disappears from queue. When I print from the laptop: Print job goes into print queue on laptop only - Only the laptop sees the document in the print queue, desktop does not see it at all. After some time (usually ~10 seconds per page) the document disappears from the queue, as if it was printed normally. However, the desktop never registers the document in the print queue, and most importantly the printer never prints.
- Is this a software issue with Office 2003 (what I use)? Not as far as I can tell, printing PDFs and from websites also don't work on the laptop.
- Could it be that the printer you added to your laptop isn't recognised as being the same printer? I doubt this, because when I print a document on my desktop but check the print queue on my laptop, the document is present.
- What kind printer do you have? HP Deskjet F2180.
- Is your network preventing the two computers from connecting to each other? I don't think so, because file sharing is on for both, works normally on both machines, and I can see the desktop's print queue from the laptop.
I have an Epson 1290 connected to my Windows 7 Pro SP1 x64 PC, and it is shared with my Vista Home premium SP2 PC, the printer works fine when printing from my Windows 7 PC but when I try to print from my Vista PC, nothing prints and all the jobs are shown in the "Open Printer" Dialogue box.I have tried right clicking and selecting "Restart" on each entry but still nothing happens. The printer is the default printer for both PC's and shows up in the Control Panel/Printers box.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have two computers wired to a router, both windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit. I have an HP 7580 printer wired to the router. One computer prints just fine. The other will print when the printer is first added, then it will stop printing after awhile. Deleting the printer and re-adding it solves the problem for a short while.
View 1 Replies View RelatedCurrently my partner using XP can print to my Epson Stylus Photo R265 printer. This printer is connected via http://192.168.1.2:631 and will print whenever she wishes to do so. I can be working with Ubuntu and this is not a problem. When I attempt to print from Windows 7 by adding the printer and using the same address I failed miserably to establish any connection.
Fortunately I dual boot seven and Ubuntu and access from her laptop can be made as it is automatically linked to my PC. This can be a bit of a problem if I am working with Ubuntu as so far printing can only be done between both seven OS. My preference would be to have printing available via my USB connected printer using both Ubuntu and Windows 7 as this will let us work in harmony.
I have a brand new Dell desktop that has Win 7 on it. I have an older laptop with Win 2000. I am able to get onto the Internet on my laptop but I can't figure out how to print to a printer attached to the Win 7 desktop.
Can someone help me?
The print preview shows the text in an email message and Word document, but my HP 1215 printer is only printing the hyperlinks. This problem arose after trying to print a Word document that I created, which had corrupted content within it.I have tried Microsoft printer fix without result. I have searched the printer properties but cannot find any property which might have caused this problem.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've installed the printer software on my laptop and successfully tested the ability to print when connected via USB. I also added the computer as a wireless connection. When I try to print wirelessly, nothing happens. The document just sits in the queue.I do not currently have the printer hooked up to anything but power. Am I wrong in thinking I should be able to print without a computer attached to the printer? If not, how can I troubleshoot this? Printer is HP c3180 AIO and laptop is HP Pavilion DV6.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Windows 7 x64 RC.7100 build installed and have configured my HP printer using Vista x64 drivers, it prints locally just fine. However I tried to setup printer sharing with my x32 Windows XP laptop and have an issue that is really a pain. Whenever I print from the XP machine I get the print job in the queue on the Win 7 machine, but it just says printing for an infinite amount of time. I have to either restart my Windows 7 machine or go into Services and Print Spooling and Restart Service for the print job to complete. I found a similar error/problem with Vista but all of the suggestions did not help. The only thing I can think of is that there is some driver incompatibility, but HP states on their website that they wont have "official drivers" for Windows 7 until Oct 22.
View 6 Replies View RelatedIve got the "retail" version of Windows 7 pro running on my 2 computers here at work, one of which is a laptop that is also used on the mall's free wireless network. When we plug in via Ethernet and rejoin the home-group, it automatically picks the shared printer back up, but when we try to print it stalls, and we have to reboot the back office computer to get it printing.
Tried powering the laptop off and back on with the Ethernet attached, still same result.
As smart as you guys are here, I know someone will have the correct answer, cause I'm stumped.
