i have a Toshiba laptop running win 7 I'm on a network where the printer is plugged into a desktop running win XP via a USB cable. If I print using the network printer from the laptop i get blue and pink lines where black should be.I have not tried to print a picture so i don't know the results of that.

We have checked various settings, and it appears that the printers are ok, because users in other departments can send duplex jobs to the printer ok.It seems to be isolated to this department that all jobs come out as single sided on two sheets.
View 2 Replies View RelatedOk this is wierd I have a client using Office 2007 pro and some of her docs that she recently updated and the problem is when she prints the docs text that she deleted is printing over the top of new text she inserted into the doc.
Now when you have said doc open in WORD the deleted text is not there in any view and does NOT show in "print preview".
I opened said doc with WORDPAD and the deleted text shows up at the bottom so its still in the word doc somewhere imbedded so it prints over the top of the actual text in the doc.
I am running windows 7 Enterprise on my office laptops. They are connected to our lan via CAT 6 cables and a 100 Mb/s Switch. One of our central laptop has our printer connected via USB port. Printer model- Canon LBP 2900B LASER SHOT LBP2900B. Now the problem is, Whenever we send a print command via any of the networked machines, it takes Loooonnggg 2~3 minutes to start printing... The printing speed is normal once it starts, but "Commencement" lag is annoying. However, the printing starts instantaneously on the machine to which the printer is physically connected. The LAN is pretty healthy and gives consistent data speeds of 11~12 MB/s
I have already performed these steps on ALL machines:
1> Uninstall and re-install printer drivers
2> Update anti-Virus and Run total scans
3> Run defragment on HDDs
4> Ran a Scan disk for HDDs
I using windows 7 pro 32bit, I install printer HpLaser 1020 on Usb and Tosiba Estudio 255 on Network. I using both Printer on Earliest, but this 3 day not printering on both Printer. I check the Printer driver in Printer setting it ok. And also check Printer spooler on services, he is not start so i can restart on the printer spooler, after 2 min i check it the spooler automatically going stop. I restall the Driver also can't install the Printer driver.

It doesn't matter what I print, when I select to print, I get the box to change the quantity, but no matter what I put in there, it always just prints one copy.
It will print all the pages of a document, but just 1 copy.
My parents brand new pc - a dell desktop - Windows 7 - i5 core, a really nice fast machine. They have a HP psc 2410 photosmart printer that they used on their old machine. I installed it on the new one, it installed fine - no problems. However, on some websites - and I can't figure out exactly why some work and some don't, but for instance - on the Food Network site, when she goes to print a recipe, it will overlay the pages on top of each other. It does this even in the print preview.
Also, she can no longer click on "clickable links" in emails. Or even on some web pages. For instance - the "manage attachments" link below, which I can access on my machine with no problem, here on this new PC, does absolutely nothing.
We are using IE9, that came installed. All updates have been done. I have never seen this behavior before - and I'm stumped.
My PC, running 64bit Windows 7 is printing blank pages on the work computer. I downloaded the necessary drivers needed to print from this computer to the printer, which is a CanonMX 340. The computer recognizes the printer and will print, but the pages that it prints are blank. The pages are blank whether I'm printing from the internet, a saved .jpg file or even a .pdf file. In order to connect to the printer, I plug in an ethernet cable, still nothing works.

Desktop is hp running win vista, laptop is an hp running Windows 7. All printer sharing is enabled. I have another laptop( aser) running Windows 7, it's hooked up the same way and it prints just fine. Here's the tricky part, I can get my hp laptop to print a test page from within the kodak program, but it won't print from within any other program. It acts like it spooled but then nothing come out.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a refurbished Sony Vaio PCG-6R3L with Windows 7.Everything was working fine, then I plugged in the USB plug for my wireless keyboard/mouse (Microsoft wireless optical desktop receiver 3.0A)I did not install anything for the keyboard, however windows automatically did something to get the keyboard to work (I think it downloaded the drivers automatically).From the wireless keyboard all the keys type exactly what they are supposed to, that's what I'm using to type this. I've used this keyboard on multiple computers, both with installing the software that came with it, and also just plugging it in, never caused this problem before.When I press and hold the FN key, all the keys type their regular symbol, however once I let go of the FN key they start printing the wrong symbol again.I did all kinds of searching online and went through all of the regional settings and such that I could find, and all the settings I could find were set to "united states english", which is also the only language/keyboard that I saw installed on the computer.

View 9 Replies View RelatedDoing some research for a co-worker.... He is running Windows 7 64 bit and trying to print a large PDF document. There are Horizontal black bands of differing lengths coming from the right hand side of the page. This is the only document he is having a hard time with and it does not happen on every page, Seems to be Random (except that they print they same way on the same page every time he has tested the print job. The bands only print when the text is aligned on the right side. I am able to print the document from my computer (XP) with no problems. Also, every where there is a band the text disappears from the left hand side of the page.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI use High Contrast Black as my theme. In the past, when I would print a document, it would print normally, i.e., black text on a white background. Some time ago, tho, my printer began to print the document as white print on a black background! But here is the strange thing: if I copy and paste my text to Notepad and print, it prints normally as black on white. Both Word 2010, Jarte, and Wordpad will NOT print normall, and I cannot find settings to change this behavior. Please note that to the best of my knowledge, I did NOT change any settings to cause this printing anomaly to begin. HOw can a person using the High Contrast BaBlack teheme arrange it so that documents print out normally, black text on the white sheet of paper?

I have read around and I haven't found any solution to my problem, thus I have resorted in opening a new thread.So here is the prob:I have a Windows 7 Starter Edition netbook which is connected to a WRT54GL Wireless-G Router. This router is connected via hard wire to my Windows Vista Desktop and that is how the desktop has access to the internet. The netbook is accessing the internet the very same Router via Wi-Fi. The Printer (HP DeskJet 940c) is connected and installed on the Windows Vista Desktop and is functioning. It prints when I give it commands from the desktop. I have set the printer sharing options 'on' in the Networks and Sharing Center as well as haven't kept a sharing password (its open and unprotected). This is as far as I have gotten. My next challenge is, how can I print from the Windows 7 Starter Edition netbook on my HP Deskjet 940c via the Router.I would be very grateful if someone can explain to me in a very noob-ish way as I am not a techie. If someone could send me a video link or so.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSystem is HP desktop running W7-64 bit. Printer is HP Photosmart 7350, old but working perfectly until 2 days ago. Driver is Deskjet 5550 (closest one for this printer).
I've reinstalled the driver, plugged and unplugged the printer, and tried to print from different programs. As soon as the print button is selected the error condition shows in the Devices & Printers section. This happens whether the printer is turned on or not.
What can I do to get the printer running again?
I downloaded from the HP site the drivers for the HP 6480 printer for Window 7. However the printer does not print. When I try a test page, it comes through the printer, but no print is on the page. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a desktop computer and a laptop at home. The desktop is connected via CAT5 to the modem. The laptop is connected to the same modem and the same network, but via a wireless signal. Both desktop and laptop are Windows 7 Home Premium x64. Both desktop and laptop belong to the same homegroup/workgroup. It is possible to see shared files between the computers no problem. File sharing is enabled on both computers and works normally.So far, so good. However, I am unable to print from my laptop in a very peculiar way. I'll simply say what goes on (rather than attempt to analyse) so you can judge for yourself:When I print from the desktop: Print job goes into print queue. I am able to see the document in the print queue, on both the desktop and laptop (i.e. Laptop detects the correct printer and sees there's a document queued). Document prints as expected, and disappears from queue.When I print from the laptop: Print job goes into print queue on laptop only - Only the laptop sees the document in the print queue, desktop does not see it at all. After some time (usually ~10 seconds per page) the document disappears from the queue, as if it was printed normally. However, the desktop never registers the document in the print queue, and most importantly the printer never prints.
- Is this a software issue with Office 2003 (what I use)? Not as far as I can tell, printing PDFs and from websites also don't work on the laptop.
- Could it be that the printer you added to your laptop isn't recognised as being the same printer? I doubt this, because when I print a document on my desktop but check the print queue on my laptop, the document is present.
- What kind printer do you have? HP Deskjet F2180.
- Is your network preventing the two computers from connecting to each other? I don't think so, because file sharing is on for both, works normally on both machines, and I can see the desktop's print queue from the laptop.
