I'm trying to print a report to a text file, but no luck yet. I know i had done it few month ago using Windows XP.I need to transfer data from my application to Excel and the easiest way is to print info as a .txt file and read it with Excel?
View 4 RepliesOk this is wierd I have a client using Office 2007 pro and some of her docs that she recently updated and the problem is when she prints the docs text that she deleted is printing over the top of new text she inserted into the doc.
Now when you have said doc open in WORD the deleted text is not there in any view and does NOT show in "print preview".
I opened said doc with WORDPAD and the deleted text shows up at the bottom so its still in the word doc somewhere imbedded so it prints over the top of the actual text in the doc.

If I print using the network printer from the laptop i get blue and pink lines where black should be.I have not tried to print a picture so i don't know the results of that.

I have downloaded the Xerox driver to the new computer, the printer is connected via USB. Each time I try to print the PDF file(s), they do not print on the entire page (8.5x11). All data on a page is printed but it is printed as a 1/2 page and in landscape, not portrait. I have tried to adjust the printer settings via Windows 7 (print window) but cannot get the document printed correctly.

In Win 7 64 bit print is not a choice when I select multiple files of different types. Is there a way to make this work or is it just an option that was left out of Win 7 for some reason?

When I copy text from a file/document and then paste it into another file/document I have one of three things happen. One it will copy the text correctly, though if I press enter to go to a new line its as if the clipboard was emptied because I cannot paste again, two it will not paste anything as if I didn't copy before, or three it will paste a screenshot of what is currently on my screen into the document.If it does copy and paste correctly then when I open a new file or folder, the clipboard will empty so I can't paste the same thing into two different documents unless both documents were open when I fist copied the text.This issue also occurs whe trying to copy/cut files and move them to a new/different directory(if the paste location is not already open then the clipboard appears to empty).

View 2 Replies View RelatedQuite often it's crashing if I try to open a text file over the LAN (mapping a drive from a SAN).I cannot close it using Task Manager and cannot do anything, it seems Windows Explorer is crashing completely.If I try to Shutdown or Restart, then Windows 7 hangs with "Logging Off" portion of the shutdown sequence. It will sit there with the "Logging Off" message on the screen indefinitely.I cannot start Task Manager or do anything else at that point except a hard shut down.

Then I want the graph to be displayed/posted to a particular directory on my website, so it can be browsed to and seen whenever needed.
The generation of the data set is done automatically, and a new data point is added to the text CSV file every 30 seconds. It is set up in columns, and I would only need 4 of the 8 columns to be graphed.
I guess the graph could be a jpg and be generated locally and uploaded via auto reoccurring ftp. Or, the data text csv file could be auto ftpd on a schedule to the web directory and the graph be auto generated there every time the text csv file is overwritten.

For instance, if I wanted to copy the following bolded word word and then paste it anywhere else in the document, I now get this: word (without the bold). This applies to other cutting and pasting problems: this applies to other fonts and formatting (bold, my Greek font, etc).One more example: before today, if I wanted to cut a text out of my New Testament Greek program right in the middle of a paragraph, the Greek font (or whatever font) would paste normally no matter what font the target MS Word text was in.

From Options - Display, I chose show hidden text and it was "Top of Form" at the top of the page. View 2 Replies View RelatedSystem is HP desktop running W7-64 bit. Printer is HP Photosmart 7350, old but working perfectly until 2 days ago. Driver is Deskjet 5550 (closest one for this printer).
I've reinstalled the driver, plugged and unplugged the printer, and tried to print from different programs. As soon as the print button is selected the error condition shows in the Devices & Printers section. This happens whether the printer is turned on or not.
What can I do to get the printer running again?
