Formatted Text Does Not Transfer Over To Pasted Text
Apr 6, 2012
All of the sudden, when I want to copy and paste something in the same document, the formatted text (whether that be a certain font or bold) does not transfer over to the pasted text. For instance, if I wanted to copy the following bolded word word and then paste it anywhere else in the document, I now get this: word (without the bold). This applies to other cutting and pasting problems: this applies to other fonts and formatting (bold, my Greek font, etc). One more example: before today, if I wanted to cut a text out of my New Testament Greek program right in the middle of a paragraph, the Greek font (or whatever font) would paste normally no matter what font the target MS Word text was in.
Ok this is wierd I have a client using Office 2007 pro and some of her docs that she recently updated and the problem is when she prints the docs text that she deleted is printing over the top of new text she inserted into the doc.
Now when you have said doc open in WORD the deleted text is not there in any view and does NOT show in "print preview".
I opened said doc with WORDPAD and the deleted text shows up at the bottom so its still in the word doc somewhere imbedded so it prints over the top of the actual text in the doc.
I have a project where I need to search a large amount of text files on my home PC. I recently upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7. My research indicated this feature was available in Windows 7.
If you do a search in Windows XP, you get a bunch of fields. You can pick to search for text INSIDE the particular sub folder structure.
I have found this feature in Windows 7, but it is different. I have tried using wild cards but it does not seem to work properly.
I have been searching for software that I can download to my PC that reads text, PDF , Power points etc. what I mean by reads is it actually reads to me. I wanted this software to read all my readings for school and I can transfer the readings to my MP3 and listen to it when I am on the road.. I spend a lot of time on the road and this causes me to limit my available reading time. So I figured if I could find a software to download...
I was having a problem on my laptop with Windows 7 not booting properly so I did a system restore of the windows files only using the Samsung software that came on the laptop. After that had completed, I can not see any text on web pages and even the Microsoft docs in office are messed up. I use Google Chrome for a browser and tried viewing web pages in IE but the same problem. I can not see any text in the dialog boxes either so to do a complete restore is next to impossible because I cannot read anything
I am running windows 7 pro x32 and I rebooted my computer last night, and there was no text anywhere. I couldn't click the start menu, right click on anything or basically do anythibg to rectify the problem. After an afternoon of internet searching I found that the only solution seemed to be to run sfc /scannow in cmd, and I tried this both in safe mode and ordinary mode but to no avail, although this seemed to work for lots of other people. I even tried reinstalling windows using my dvd copy of the disk using the upgrade feature, which is what you are supposed to do, but had the error that I was upgrading to a lower version, which is apparently because my dvd does not have sp1 installed. I can not download any new disk images as I am posting off my iPod, and have no other way of doing anything technical. I need my computer for homework and other stuff, which I can't do. I do however, have some Ubuntu disks,
I just installed Window 7. Once I installed every drivers. The problem is that the text is blur and not sharp (as I'm typing). I took 3 hours looking online and still can't find the method to solve the problem (ClearType, Sharp edge, etc.) Is it possible to make it sharp like Window XP?
Windows 7 64-bit I can adjust the display so it's large enough to read everything but the text. For instance, now have it set at 150% of normal and the title of this post is large but what I'm typing now is so small it's barely readable. MUCH smaller than 10-point.There is a way to customize the display, but anything more than 150% is so large it overflows my wide-screen monitor. Surely there must be a choice between way too large and way too small, but I can't find it.A message on my screen now says to run TSG Sysinfo Last time I downloaded something similar, here, I ended up with a $40 Uniblue program on my computer that I had to fight like crazy to stop invading my world. I never got my money back, either.
When I want to copy a text from a web page into Word , it will not copy the FULL page. From left to righ,t it will cut off about 10-15% of the document on the right side of the page.. I tried moving the arrows on the top of the page and it doesn't seem to help.
My txt files are identified with the icon of another program, Sigil, in my windows explorer. When I open these files and try to update them I get the message that Sigil files can't be changed. I am sure there is an easy way to get rid of this identification as Sigil. As a matter of fact many of the files were created before I had Sigil. It just took over my txt files. It is NOT a question of the extension. They all have the .txt extension.
I recently purchased a laptop and I cannot figure out how to adjust some of the settings. For example, when you're on a website where you fill out information boxes such as name, address, email, etc. the boxes are so light that they don't show up. I have to hit tab just to find them. Even on this page right below title: the actual box does not show up.
I have been using Thunderbird for my e-mail account. Somehow, Thunderbird was updated to 10.0. Now my e-mail texts are so small that I can barely read them. I downloaded an application that allowed me to increase the size of the fonts in the listing. However, the messages are still small. I tried setting the options to a larger font but that did not work. Two questions: Is there some way to increase the size of the text in both the email list and the messages. Two, can I just remove the new version and download an earlier version of Thunderbird. I don't know what version I was using, but I was perfectly satisfied with it.
Been having an annoying problem on various forums - the text cursor will disappear during typingFrequently when I try to move the cursor around with the arrows (or click to place it with the mouse) it will disappear and I have no idea where I'm about to type.
I have what may be an unusual question. How do I post a plain text-only page up on the internet? An example of what I want is url...There's no html on this page. Only plain text.I tried to do this on Google Sites using the "Add Files" feature, but when I go to the link it goes right to a "download file" dialog box which is not what I want. url...
let me begin by saying that I am completely new to this forum as well as I am a new user of Windows 7. My laptop was running a Vista OS but it was acting up horribly, so I decided to simply install Windows 7 and it's working pleaI am one for typing and creating a mass amount of text documents and such on which was Microsoft Works that came installed on my Vista. I no longer have any Microsoft Works, or Microsoft Office for that matter, so I can't type besides on Notepad and I would rather not. I tried to install Open Office but it wouldn't install for whatever reason and I am stuck again.
I am having a problem with some readme files. This is what I get, the whole page is filled with.%5^fjfWKgqH3_uʰ2&UG/M jI have tried using other systems like notepad2 and EditPadLite but the same problem occurs.
I have installed all the software drivers.I have reinstalled the video drivers too but i get this green color texts which disappears and returns to normal if i refresh or highlight over the text.
I have an official document that I have scanned in to a .pdf file, and I want to add some text that says 'I certify that this is a true copy of this document' (I do not want to change the document itself, and this will save me having to write this text on 20 pages).
Is there a simple (and cheap) way of doing this, short of buying Acrobat Pro?
I'm trying to install additional voices for Windows 7 narrator and other Text to Speech Programs. I have downloaded and installed this: Download: Microsoft Speech Platform - Runtime (Version 11) - Microsoft Download Center - Download Details, and then few of these: Download: Microsoft Speech Platform - Runtime Languages (Version 11) - Microsoft Download Center - Download Details (I am using Windows 7 64Bit Ultimate on a desktop PC) But I am not able to find the option to use these newly instlled voices for text to speech.
I regularly use my acer aspire 5552 ati 4250. I have norton antivirus installed but somehow more over I have a virus. It takes approximately 45 minutes for the laptop to go to the start up page, but there is no text. When it loads up to a stage I can put on the Internet I can input text into google but again, this takes a long period of time. When I press (e.g.) ALT + F the tiniest of drop down bar appears and I cannot access anything on there, this happens with anything related to right clicking to using shortcuts as things are not viewable.
Furthermore, the laptop is in safe mode at the moment and I cannot access windows or due to the fact I cannot access drop down menus or control panels as there is no text
One big issue for me in Windows 7 after XP is that text in browser windows (like in IE9, Firefox and Thunderbird) lacks contrast - it's a pale grey rather than the black I had in the same apps in XP. Actually this text is pale grey as I type it.This seems to be "global" and no amount of fiddling in the apps themselves does any good. There was never any problem in XP.I'm using an Aero theme, but I've tried a basic theme and tried chaning the window colours manually.
I recently restarted my computer and I have a problem where all the text of desktop icon labels, and while starting windows you know how it says "Welcome", It doesnt say that, only shows the loading cursor. When I click on the start button, it doesn't work, so that I could do a system restore
All the text are gone, the text is changed to times new roman at firefox, and i can't see what I am typing in the nagivation bar in firefox.
A new entry with the name ClearType Text Tuner is available in the Windows 7 Control Panel. Previous operating systems provided users with an on and off switch for ClearType but no configuration options beyond that. Microsoft Powertoys provided access to a ClearType Tuner which provided access to a wizard that would walk the user through the process of optimizing the ClearType display. It seems that this wizard has now been integrated into Windows 7.The Wizard will display several screens with 2-6 identical text displays that make use of different ClearType settings asking the user to pick the one best suited for his computer monitor. There is still no possibility to set a specific value but it should improve text display on the computer quite a bit.+
I'm trying to print a report to a text file, but no luck yet. I know i had done it few month ago using Windows XP.I need to transfer data from my application to Excel and the easiest way is to print info as a .txt file and read it with Excel?
Just recently I've encountered the problem where I cannot see the text that I type in Yahoo IM and as wellas that it frequently closes down before I've had a chance to do anything saying that an error is preventing the program from working properly. I'm pretty dense when it comes to stuff like this and a quick search of the forum before posting found this: This can solve "can't see text in yahoo messenger" Start -> run -> regedit -> HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Microsoft -> Windows -> CurrentVersion ->Internet Settings -> Zones then In zones part you must have 0,1,2,3,4 ,If not delete other ones(Don't delete 0,1,2,3,4)
