Windows 7 Laptop Printing To Network Printer Prints Blue And Pink Instead Of Black Text?
Aug 17, 2011i have a Toshiba laptop running win 7 I'm on a network where the printer is plugged into a desktop running win XP via a USB cable. If I print using the network printer from the laptop i get blue and pink lines where black should be.I have not tried to print a picture so i don't know the results of that.

Pink Dots In Horizontal LLnes After Omputer Starts
Feb 10, 2013Yesterday I was playing a video game when My computer froze completly. Ever since a computer crash, my computer starts up with pink lines horizontally when microsoft windows loads and is only displaying 16 colours. When trying to change the display settings, all the video card information is not being displayed. I suspect is a video card hardware malfunction but I could be wrong. When The computer starts, I get a message saying "Windows has not loaded properly perviously" and gives me the option to run the Windows Startup Repair. After running the Windows Startup Repair, it fails to fix the problem and I get the message below:

Apr 30, 2012this is the 5th time i've got a pink screen with artifacts, randomly happens over the course of 4 months. this time i got a blue screen following it. last time the display driver corrected itself. i've ran furmark until the temp maxed out with no artifacts or anything. 86 c. times that the pink screen have occurred, once during mw3, once during vlc media player, twice during Internet just at the homepage, and once during windows media player.

Grey Box On Desktop Won't Go Away
Nov 29, 2012I have a magic grey box appearing on the desktop of my Dell E6320 running windows 7. It is normally not there when I first turn the PC on, but then appears. I haven't managed to figure out what I'm doing that causes it to start but once it's there the only way to get rid of it is to reboot - but that's only temporary as it comes back pretty quickly.I've attached a few pics, you can see that it is "on top" all the time and usually covers over all sorts of handy sections of the system so I have to move windows around to get to what is behind this box.

I keep getting this weird grey box that's open in my programs list (when I hit Alt+Tab), but not an application on Task Manager. It doesn't show up on my desktop until I use Alt+Tab to switch to it (here is the image I see from that), when it appears on my desktop and doesn't disappear (see this screenshot). Oct 21, 2011I don't have the model on me now, but recently I worked on a Compaq Desktop computer. At random times (could be any program open), it would go to a grey screen with weird horizontal lines. I upgraded the video drivers, ran a video stress test and it went over 2 hours with no problems.
The customer just reported to me that it happened again so I am thinking that maybe it is a faulty motherboard (video built onto motherboard). What do you guys think? I didn't wanna give the customer the run around saying "Let's try 1) putting in a new video card then 2) lets try reformatting and lastly 3) lets replace the motherboard)"
Computer Hanging And Grey Screen At StartUp?
Feb 2, 2013I have a desktop, custom built, that has been a nightmare since day one. Anyway, last time I brought it in for repairs they checked the motherboard and RAM- it was all fine, and they replaced my hard drive.For the past month or so, my computer will freeze or hang while I'm in the middle of working on something. I'm a photographer and it usually happens when photoshop is left sitting open for a few minutes. Firefox will freeze and so will PS and Bridge.When it freezes, nothing works. Ctrl+alt+delete will work to open the task manager, but it won't actually end any tasks when I try. I am forced to hold the power button down to shut it off. About 3 days ago I got a message upon start up saying that I needed to check disk but immediately said that it couldn't check disk due to a corruption? Stating that a recently installed software was the problem and I needed to do a system restore. I tried to do a system restore to before I installed my machforms update and it wouldn't let me! Stated that the c drive is corrupt and I need to do a check disk. So it's sending me in a circle and I can't complete either. Today, when I booted I received a lovely grey screen. This happened about 7 times before it booted normally. I tried to boot in safe mode but it froze.

Aug 22, 2011My netbook froze on friday night. Try to restart, but was stuck at grey screen. It has asus logo and eee pc written. The options f2 to run setup and tab to display bios post yields nothing. In other words, pressing either button doesn't work. I have removed the battery, pressed the power button without the power cord, put everything back in, tapping f2. So far, no progress. Few times, i try pressing f2 similtaneously as i hit the power button, i got american megatrends screens. Still, none go further. I have this netbook for a little over a year. The warranty just expired a month ago. It is running window 7 starter already installed when i got it at bestbuy. I had contacted asus support, and tried some i mentioned above. I prefer to do this by myself.

I have dove into the system checking everything that I could think of to change it back to displaying properly. i am connected to the interent through a Netgear router and I can access the internet through either 2 ghz or 5ghz band but the icon will not display properly. When I first got it, it arrived without the video card so I used a temp one. The computer started crashing, so I thought it was because the video card was old. I borrowed another one from a friend and uninstalled the old drivers and installed the new ones. The same thing happened with this one. I decided to run some test so I downloaded prime95, memtest86+, and a video benchmark. Everything passed except for prime95. Memtest ran for 11 hours with no errors and prime95 crashes after a couple of minutes. I returned the motherboard because I thought it was faulty, but the same thing happens with replacement. I tried moving the memory sticks to different slots and using one and then the other. I tried installing windows 7 32bit and 64bit. I ran the diagnostic test for the cpu and everything passed. I have installed the latest updated drivers.
So if it's not the motherboard, memory, cpu, nor gpu, what could it be. Can someone please help me identify the problem(s). I don't know where the .dmp went but here is a screen shot [URL] and I will attach the PERFMON HTML file.

I've reinstalled the driver, plugged and unplugged the printer, and tried to print from different programs. As soon as the print button is selected the error condition shows in the Devices & Printers section. This happens whether the printer is turned on or not.

Jul 23, 2012Laptop is connected to wifi but still shows yellow star and grey bars? Title says it all. I've reinstall the drivers, changed the settings in the registry editor that someone on another forum suggested, delete all the wifi accounts and rebooted the computer. No errors in device manager, the Windows wifi connection software is the only one running. Internet is working but it wont allow me to setup a vpn. I've rebooted everything.
I just noticed that no matter what wireless network I connect to it still does this. Also, I connected to a wireless network that this laptop never connects to and it never asks what kind of network it is. It just sets it as a public network. My other laptop connects to both fine.
