Nov 2, 2012
Since yesterday many letters in all my documents are red or blue and some have a faint blue or yellow background.

I have Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 9 on my computer. How would I change the color of the letters and words of the newspapers that I log onto? I am presently getting a blue color but I would like to have a those words in black.
When I am typing at normal speed on the laptop keyboard, something really weird happens. In the middle of a word the next letter suddenly skips backwards and inserts itself randomly in the middle of a previous word breaking up the sentence until you try to correct it. Then it's back to typing as usual before it happens again! Laptop is under warranty but all they said they can do is replace mother board.
When I mouse over the taskbar buttons, the glow doesn't go away after I move the mouse away. This doesn't happen all the time, but seems to always pop up eventually on every boot, and persists until I restart. It's done this across several gpu driver updates, so it must be something with Windows 7.
When you mouse over a button on the taskbar in Windows 7, the button glows in the predominant color of the program's icon, with the glow being most intense where the cursor currently is.Then the cursor leaves the button, the glow goes away. However, for me, when the cursor leaves a button and does not then enter another button, the glow stays on the previously hovered over button. This is not what is supposed to happen.
Yesterday I was playing a video game when My computer froze completly. Ever since a computer crash, my computer starts up with pink lines horizontally when microsoft windows loads and is only displaying 16 colours. When trying to change the display settings, all the video card information is not being displayed. I suspect is a video card hardware malfunction but I could be wrong. When The computer starts, I get a message saying "Windows has not loaded properly perviously" and gives me the option to run the Windows Startup Repair. After running the Windows Startup Repair, it fails to fix the problem and I get the message below:
i am running windows 7 64 bit . as long as i remember I didn't do anything foolish in the hardware or something but i have this trouble. when i click the left mouse button and hold it while clicking and then drag here and there i get pink lines that are killing me and making me unable to use one software.
this is the 5th time i've got a pink screen with artifacts, randomly happens over the course of 4 months. this time i got a blue screen following it. last time the display driver corrected itself. i've ran furmark until the temp maxed out with no artifacts or anything. 86 c. times that the pink screen have occurred, once during mw3, once during vlc media player, twice during Internet just at the homepage, and once during windows media player.
I have Office 10 and I go to "find" in my excel spreadsheet and I would like to find "shot", "hospital"". "doctor" without doing 3 searches. So can I imput those 3 words and do a search and it will show me each word as they come up?
i have a Toshiba laptop running win 7 I'm on a network where the printer is plugged into a desktop running win XP via a USB cable. If I print using the network printer from the laptop i get blue and pink lines where black should be.I have not tried to print a picture so i don't know the results of that.
still using IE 8 because Zonealarm toolbar doesn't work on IE 9 as yet. Her Homepage msnine is suddenly, in the last 3 days, showing "italicized" writing in the news headlines. My msn9 homepage with IE 9 has the normal font. Can anyone inform me what has occurred and how to fix it?
Sometimes when I lag and Im typing my words Im typing will type out twice and overlap in sentences. In the screenshot I have included you can see this. I tried typing "I know theres ppl who work for little pay", and it overlapped. This issue used to happen on my old computer which was Windows XP but it only had 1 gb of RAM I know have 2gb and I thought I wouldnt be dealing with lag issues as often.
on a page? in windows xp, you could hit F3 & it would bring up a box where you type in the word your searching for on a particular page & it would highlight it. when i hit f3 on windows 7 nothing happens. where is this command?
I want to be able to find documents that have specific words in them. The result must be only those documents that have all of these specific words. When I run a search I get documents with all 3 words, or 2 words or just 1 of the words. I just want the documents that have all 3 of the words.
Okay so I'm having this very strange problem on my Windows 7 64bit laptop and because of this problem I can't really post picturesBut when I right click a huge white screen with arrows at the top and bottom and the word CATALYST in giant font comes up and the only way I can get it to close is by clicking where the taskbar normally is and then ATIs catalyst program for updating the drivers pops upOr if I open most any program I get the same huge white screen and if it's Paint for example, it will say in giant lettersPAINTCLICK HERE TO OPENIt happened after I closed a game and stopped a recording on Camstudio and then my taskbar color went to white for some reason and after I tried to change it, it said the color which was normally green, just said "Windows Basic" or something like that and where it normally had a green square, it had that white square with arrows at the top and bottom
While there are a (small) handful of features of Aero that i'd like to use, there are many more that slow down the UI and/or make it distracting that I can't find a way to disable.(I even tried the "Basic" theme but it has a bug that discards font size settings made under the now-misnamed "color" dialog). So I end up in Windows Classic, which is being made more difficult to use, including the aforementioned "color" dialog.I've already been to the "Performance" settings and un-checked every animation available, but even after doing so two things remain:
1 The "glow" around control buttons. To me this is hideous and distracting.
2) Some animations still remain, slowing down the user interface.
To be clear, here's what I might like to use in Aero:
1) taskbar window previews
2) the program switching mechanisms (Flip or ALT+TAB)
3) maybe transparency would look okay, without the animations
Bottom line, Microsoft has bundled both good and bad features in this artificial "feature" called Aero, instead of making the features available individually, and made some of the Aero animations impossible to disable (as far as I know).
Might not be a problem for a lot but I'm beginning to run out of letters for Networking disk drives on Windows systems. Once you start sharing multiple CD / DVD devices and multiple external devices (USB sticks, Ipods etc etc) and have may be 12 - 14 Virtual machines together with a decent TEST Bench set of real machines all up and running in a computer test lab this becomes a real pain.
Isn't it about time to get rid of the C: type nomenclenture (originated way back in the 8 bit Intel 8086 MS DOS days or even before).
Even the UNC system is pretty OK ( amemount) .
I'm not sure what type of change would be needed to the file system but IMO the change is LONG LONG overdue. Why on earth we are still stuck with this system which has been around "Since Pontius was a Pilot" I can't imagine.
It really wouldn't be a major problem to be compatable with earlier systems -- you could easily have a simple internal map say references to C: would be replaced by Mountpoint whenever the I/O was requested. Overhead would be very small.
(In any case it's really time to change the NTFS system -- but that's another topic entirely which would be a bit more complex).
