Nov 10, 2009I have a 64 bits Windows 7 notebook installed with Samsung SCX-4725 series PCL printer. For network printing requirements, I tried to install (I am not sure) a 32 bits ZOT Network Print Server which is being used other folks in the office. When I installed the print server, a error message prompted "Failed to add network Monitor". With this message, I still could install the print driver. But upon completion, couldn't print anything with a message "Error Print". Such error message did not appeared when I installed the system under a XP or Vista 32 bits enviornment.
I wish to know what is the problem(s) here? Is it ture that I need to install a 64 bits network print driver.

Dec 3, 2012I have tried vista driver for this printer but will not install. I have reviewed the canon driver websites (USA and Canada) without any luck.

Nov 5, 2009Did anyone succeed in making this damn printer work properly (especially for the scan) on a fresh install of 7-64bits? Despite installing the latest driver from Canon for 7-64 bits (here: PIXMA MP520 /MP drivers 64 bits (1.01)) I can't get the scan working properly. For me it looks like only the generic driver from Seven is installed properly, allowing me to print but nothing else (the miniature picture from my printer indeed appears as a generic printer). Any idea?
When I install the program from Canon (MP Navigator), it says on launch that the driver is not setup...
I uninstall/reinstall several times, disabled UAC and close all apps including Kaspersky but still stuck there.

Oct 27, 2012Can't get CANON BJC 210 to print from XP MODE. Everything goes to PRINT QUEUE, and there appears no connection or communication with the LPT port. Windows print troubleshooting no help, and even printing attempts from command prompt results in nothing happening. Printer responds normally to beeps from holding down the power button, but nothing from print tests or commands from the computer.XP MODE works fine otherwise.I've made sure printer is online and tried unplugging and plugging back in the power supply several times.This particular printer model won't install in WIN 7, but worked perfectly in WIN XP prior to upgrade. Also careful to inactivate the USB option during installation with updated driver.
