I have a MacBookPro with OSX 10.6.8 and a Toshiba laptop with Windows 7 to which is connected by USB a Canon MP250 printer. I have been able to network the two computers, meaning I am able to create a file on the Mac and save it on the Toshiba and vice-versa. But I am unable to print a document from the Mac on the Canon printer which is connected to the Windows laptop. I think I correctly followed instructions here.
My Windows 7 pro x64 system will not play the "Print Complete" sound after printing a document.I get the pop-up saying that the print job has completed, just like it did with Win XP. However, the sound is not played. The sounds applet in control panel has the "Print Complete" sound defined correctly and the Test button plays the sound. So I do not have an audio problem, and the .wav file is not blocked.I have looked for any options that could control the sound, but have not found any.
I bought a new laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit a couple of months ago and havent been able to print anything at all. The printers that i have are HP Officejet K7100, HP Deskjet 960c. Both printers are recognized and the status on the control panel is all good, until i actually print something, thats when the spooler seems to begin the print job but it just ends up saying theres an error and no page is actually printed.
Quicken 2000 won't print even though printer says it's printing; No job in the printer que either. Downloaded another printer driver but that did not do the trick. it shows there's a printer in that que but nothing printed.
I have recently installed Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit and when I print anything on my Lexmark E120 laser printer and select Two-Sided printing, it prints out instructions for doing this. As I already know how to use my printer, I would like to stop it printing out instructions and wasting paper.
I'm having sporadic issues with many users connected over the network to a print server. If the printer is their default printer the application used to print will freeze/lockup until they log out / restart their machine. The only way to fix this (from my experience) is to set their default printer to something else (like Adobe PDF) or bypass the print server completely and do it by direct TCP/IP.
I have my printer installed in my work domain PC. I try to print one page, and then after this my print spooler stops working. I have to start it manually, and after another page printed, it stops again. It's so annoying to start it after each print.
I'm using Win 7 Pro logon as user with administrative credential. I need to do printing in DOS mode. The Case is : I type Net Use LPT1: \printserverp1 in DOS mode, it displays the command completed successfuly. The connection was made when I look at it again by using net use. But when I send a command 'dir/w > lpt1 ' in dos mode, it shows access is denied. It doesn't allow me to send a print job
I've been trying to print from the Windows 7 XP Mode, with no success. How do I set up the Win7 XP Mode so I can print from it. I have a Laserjet 1320 printer. It prints fine from Windows 7.
HI'm using windows 7 home premium,I have a samsung ML 1660 laser printer installed and set as default. Now over the last day or two I'm unable to print out my emails from Windows live mail,Its been working well.Did a system restore to try a fix also tried microsoft Mr Fixit but no luck. Also when I look in devices and printers folder it shows up the printer with a tick showing default,Then beside that there is a greyed out printer of the same with 'copy 1' underneath it. I also had a box popping up on screen ''Script error''Yellow triangle'top left. Line 2107 Char 1 error Invalid procedure call or argument Code 0 URL:res//ieframe.dll/preview.js..Do you want to continue running scripts on this page YES NO.
I'm unable to print in either Outlook 2003 or Internet Explorer with Windows 7. I've tried 3 different printers. Same problem. All other programs seem to print fine.
I wasn't quite sure where to post this so I'll put it here My mother bought a cooking ebook, in PDF format and in 7 parts. They came with a password to view which is understandable, but printing is restricted. My mum doesn't really think taking her laptop in the kitchen is a very practical method of reading it, and so naturally she asked me to try and find a way around this restriction. As I said I have the password to actually open the PDF and it was all legitimately acquired so I don't see the problem in asking a question of this nature.
I've just taken delivery of a new windows 7 PC, with i5-2500k/8gb/SSD/1TB HDD, Asus p8z68-v lx motherboard. Everything was going fine with setting up until it came to printers.I have 3 printers connected - Brother HL2030 laser, HP Photosmart D6160 and Epson Stylus photo R2400 - and NONE of them will work. All three came up with "your device is installed correctly etc etc" message. I can't print documents or even a test page. I've downloaded and installed Brother's W7 driver - zilch. HP site says you lose most of the functionality of toollbox etc but "the windows 7 default driver should work" - it doesn't. Likewise the Epson. I've tried 3 or 4 times to reinstall them all, deleting each first from the control panel, and absolutely no joy.I'm sure I must be doing something wrong but can't figure
I have an old printer (Brother 1430) attached to my new PC running windows 7 via the LPT1 port. It works well in Windows 7 but I am unable to print from XP mode.
I have installed the drivers into XP mode and it seems to be recognised by XP but no luck with printing. Have tried a USB connector but again no success.
I am an avide genealogist and use Ancestry and Find my Past as research sites, I have been using these sites for a number of years and been able to print from these sites certificates etc that I have found in my research. Of late I have experienced an anoying problem in that I cannot print these any more from the screen shot, if I save the screen as a file to a folder I am able to open the files and print from the file.
I know that both these sites use Djview as a viewer for viewing the files from their sites, but if I can view them surely I should be able to print.
I'm unable to print emails or web pages.Dialogue box shows 'the internet has stopped working' and no printing information is displayed. It then recovers the tab when the dialog box is closed. Am running IE8, However can print from library.Have tried disabling firewall and altering Internet options settings. Same with 3 different printers wired and wireless.Have tried resetting internet options.
I have installed an HP Printer and it's printing fine with the exception of MS docs. I can bring PDF files, web pages. I've printed an ebay purchase and and an Amazon purchase. However, I am unable to print Word or Works doc.
Both printers connected to my HP desktop (win 7x64) via USB ports become inaccessible (cannot print) if the computer is left on for a day or more. When I look under Devices and Printers, it shows both printers with the troubleshooting icon (Status: needs troubleshooting). When I initiate troubleshooting, it comes back with - "troubleshooting could not identify problem." I have to reboot computer to get printers working again.
I have recently installed Windows 7 , and can not print to my Epson Stylus photo R220.
The printer was not in the default list of printers, so I got the driver fro the Epson website ( used the Vista driver ). It appears to install correctly on port LPT1, and the printer then appears in the devices and printers window, but if I try a test print , nothing happens, If I try to print a text document I get an error message saying that the printer is not configured correctly !
Printing's been working fine up until about a week ago. Suddenly I'm unable to print out of chrome. Whenever I try to print I get an error that says "Printer not Installed" in the browser. I disable the "print preview" chrome has recently implemented but that doesn't work. I reinstall Chrome to no avail. I try to print in Firefox and get a different error... "An Error Occurred while Printing." I do some research and then realize I can't print out of Acrobat Pro. My print settings dialog in Acrobat is unlike any I've ever seen and no options work. I can't change the paper size or access the printer settings from the Acrobat Print Dialog.
Steps I've taken so far: Reinstalled the printer Restarted Print Spooler Deleted the Port Reinstalled Printer again with new drivers Successfully Printed Test Pages after each of these steps. Still could not print out of other programs. Successfully Printed out of MS Word
I logged in under a different user and was able to print out of firefox.
So - a problem that I came across in a co-workers Outlook 2003 today was that when they receive an email with 2 (or more) attachments they are unable to Ctrl or Shift select them, right click and send them to print. Now, I find this odd as this was a function available in office 2000 and is available in 2007 and 2010.
I've been using various print drivers for various locations with success for a month with my new laptop. Today, all drivers gone.Loading new ones doesn't work. Print spooler is not "started;" it starts successfully, then is not "started" next time I look.Other possibly relevant information: HP 1020, HP MX 340 at home office.Tried: multiple restarts of print spooler, multiple reboots, troubleshooters, HP detect and download drivers?
(Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, HP LaserJet CP1215)When printing from Word (or any other normal application) the documents just sit in the print queue with Status = "Error - Printing".If I stop, then re-start the Print Spooler service, they then print.Strangely enough, this does not happen if I print from the HP printer diagnostic utility.I've done complete re-install of the entire printer driver suite and I'm pretty sure everything that end is OK. So what's happening with the spooler? The error message isn't exactly very revealing
