Please contact HP Support for asistance."My computer did not come with a build in CD Drive. Even plugging in a USB CD Drive will not make creating the discs possible. So. I ask you. When formatting is ok'ed, the computer works for a while and then states that formatting failed. I have the same results when trying DVD-R, DVD+R, and DVD+R/W discs.

I then tried to restore it to an earlier time via safe mode but the restore point available is only the one as at the time of the update. I tried to create a restore point, but when i tried, i cannot even find system protection when i looked for it and it directs me to system properties where my computer's description is blank and it cannot be edited.Even the updates cannot be uninstalled via safe mode.Is there no other options i can try in order to start my laptop normally again?

I can reach the "boot from any CD/DVD option but for some weird option the arrows on the keyboard will not alow me to move away from this latter choice yet the board works fins with everything else.I can't get it to boot from the original Win 7 CD, Windows Vista or even Pro OS's ................ so of course again cannot get to the format command.I have created a System Recovery Disc but I am not 110% sure how to use this disc but nonetheless cannot seem to find an option for formatting there anyway.

Does disk manger only shrinks a drive to so much? I have a 1tb. I want to shrink the c partition down to 200 or 300 gb. Disk manger will only shrink the drive down to 550gb.
