Wireless Drivers Refused To Work After Installing Windows 7?
Oct 20, 2011
All wireless drivers i have tried on the machine has refused to work after installing Win 7. The model is dell inspiron 9300 Does it mean there is nothing i can do to solve my problem
Okay so i have an older Wireless PCI Card from like 5 years ago, I didnt have an antenna for it so i didnt use it, I recently came across the antenna and put the card in my PC, The "Ethernet Controller" says it doesnt have the drivers, and windows wont find it on its own. So i have gone to the website and downloaded the driver and software, it all tells me there are several missing .dll files.
So i downloaded them virus scanned them etc. and still no progress on getting the card installed. I dont know where the CD for it is and i doubt the CD would even work for windows 7. Can anyone help me out with this prob? Its a Wireless-B PCI Adapter 2.4GHz Model No. BB720C808230
I have a Usb wireless card.... I dont have the make and model on me at the moment but when I plug this into a USB socket, Windows 7 picks it up as a bluetooth device (with errors)
I have the drivers on CD but not sure how to install the drivers, as going into device manager thinks its looking for bluetooth drivers.
I have a Dell Vostro 1015, I need to install wireless drivers on it.While installation I get a message saying "No compatible hardware found. The software you are attempting to install is not supported on this system. The software will not be installed. Setup will exit now". I am trying this from past 5 months. I have tried it on both 64 and 32 bit windows 7
I'm trying to disable drive indexing but as the administrator it says I do not have the rights. Translated it says "you must have the administrative rights to modify these attributes".
I just had a scary experience with my Toshiba A665-S6095 laptop. I had it running this morning and closed the lid, which hibernates it. About 3pm, I opened the lid and hit the power button, whereupon it gave me the "Windows did not close properly.. ." message. What? How? All I did was close the lid.So anyway, I choose "Start Windows normally". Get blank screen with cursor blinking in upper left corner, but Windows does not boot. Disconnect power cord and removed battery. Waited 10 minutes. Put battery back in, inserted power cord. Turned on. When BIOS icon appeared, hit F2 to enter BIOS. Checked everything; all A-OK.
I recently re-installed Windows 7 to my new SSD. Now my Wireless Adapter wont work. It's a "Netopia 3D Reach (ter/gusb-n1)" adapter (usb). The drivers that i came across all say that this adapter only goes up to vista, which doesnt make sense because it worked perfectly before i reinstalled my OS. What's wrong? If you find any kind of Window 7 driver
I apologize in advance if a thread related to this has already happened. Judging from my join date, I'm obviously new to these forums, a friend of mine recommended this to me, so I'm hoping someone here can help me figure out this problem. That problem being, I recently just wiped out my Windows 7 Basic edition due to some problems it was having and I recently just installed Windows 7 Ultimate (Wireless LAN_ Realtek_ 8.0. 0.238_W7x86W7x64_EM108). Now from my judgment with computers when I want to connect to a router, in the bottom right hand corner you could do as so and connect right away. Well, I can't do that. Right now I'm connected through my Ethernet cord and I'm trying to figure out this issue.
I went to my manufacturer website (I have a Gateway zx4800) and I recently downloaded the driver I needed (also x64bit) and I have set-up and installed what I needed to do and I even restarted, and still nothing. I even tried to set-up a wireless connection myself and it told me to wait 90 seconds, but nothing showed up for me to sent anything up, so my mind is just completely boggled.
I previously had Ubuntu installed, but just installed windows 7 professional with service pack1, 32-bit X86 Full.
It seems that I can't connect to the internet though. Not via the wire(LAN) or wireless. When opening up device manager the following is located under OTHER DEVICES:
I've tried drivers, updates, manual driver install, I've tried canyon support, literally everything. But I just can't get the wireless card (CNP-WF511) to work with my PC. My OS is Win 7 x86.
My problem began when someday i had issue in my windows which was usb was not recognized as i tried putting 3 usbs but all of them didn't work and i have 2 usb ports in my laptop which is dell xps 15z so i don't think it is a hardware issue My problem continued and i searched and searched the internet for solutions but no one really worked so i decided to format the windows and installing new clean windows 7 one, and i did so and after installation i had too many more problems knowing that i installed all the required drivers needed for the laptop and checked them with driver genius, now any usb i plug in isn't even sensed by the lap or self installed like the usb ports have no drivers or anything.I tried the wireless mouse which isn't sensed on another laptop and it installed and worked instantly, so where is driver software installation which should install the mouse automatic?
i recently installed windows 7 Ultimate on another hard drive to dual boot with my windows 7 Home Premium (Dont bother asking why) And when it finished the installation, it logged on correctly, but now the wifi doesnt work (wifi light isnt even on when the wifi cord is pluged in), also the usb3.0 ports dont work either, how would i fix this?I tried going onto my Home Premium Version and everything worked fine there, specs down below if needed
Have recently returned my laptop to factory settings, increased the memory and installed Windows7 and have now lost the wireless capability - usually switched on using Fn+F1 buttons.
I have purchased a D-Link 1040 wireless print server and have connected it to my printer using a USB connection. I have installed the software. I turned the power on and pressed the little button on the side of the print server to enter search mode. In Windows 7 I tried adding a device but my computer can't find it.I suspect I may have to make some network connection or adjustments using my wifi modem. How to proceed?
I recently purchased a D-Link Wireless N 150 Roiuter (DIR-524).I have a home network of 2 desktops (both wired) , one running Windows 7 Ultimate, another Windows XP and the third is a Laptop (wireless) with Windows 7 Home Premium. My Laptop easily connected to the router as did the Windows XP. But the other desktop with Windows 7 Ultimate has become abominably slow and is randomly freezing.
Specs: Windows 7 Ultimate 2.4GHz P4 Processor 2GB RAM VIA motherboard (P4M266A)
My computer fail to connect wireless after changing window. When I troubleshoot it tales wireless capability is switched off. I tray to click key fn F8 but no respond.
im upgrading my inspiron 8600 to 2 gb ram and windows 7 already installed 7. everything works fine except the wireless. the adapter from the factory is Intel P/C WM3A2100NADELL.....model WM#A2100......DELL P/N 09y200...........REV A01 the XP driver doesn't work. the dell support site only lists xp as an operating system for the 8600. this computer has been used very little and contains the Pentium M chip known to be a low heat processor, so i'm willing to warm it up a bit with windows 7. the operating system is working fine and i don't hear my fan coming on. just need a driver for the wireless. wired works fine.
I've just recently purchased a generic wireless mouse from eBay. more specifically, this one: 2.4GHz USB Receiver Wireless Optical Mouse F PC Laptop | eBay it doesn't work. I'm running Windows 7 64bit and it started installing the drivers, first it was installing "HID Wireless Mouse", then it switched to "USB Input Device" but failed after 3 seconds. now it's listed in Device Manager as "USB Input Device" with yellow sign that indicates it doesn't work. I tested it in 2 other Windows 7 32bit computers and it works just fine! installing drivers and everything. moreover - I testes my bro's logitech wireless mouse on my 64bit Windows 7 computer and it works fine. I think Windows fails on recognizing it. I mean the drivers are there.. the Logitech Mouse works but mine doesn't.. how do I make it work?
I have been driving myself crazy the past few hours trying to iron out this little issue of mine to no avail. I have a logitech wave wireless kb/m combo on one of my machines that has been working until today. I had moved the computer to another room and in doing so had unplugged everything. I noticed after startup that windows automatic driver update kicked in and as I moved the mouse over to see what it was trying to update my keyboard and mouse both ceased to function. I'm not very savvy in the ways of the driver and at this point in time I only have a wired mouse working on my machine (no wired keyboard available). I should point out that this happened both with the front panel usb ports as well as the on board ports. I have attempted to uninstall and reinstall the pair but it was no good. I thought perhaps I could get around this issue and try to turn off automatic update if i rolled the computer back a day and went into safe mode to work it out but the computer just updates the drivers there as well.
I have been having a problem with my USB wireless network receiver, netgear dualband wireless, the problem appears when I've had the computer in sleep. When I wake it back up, it will fail to install and I need to either take it in or out, or restart the computer.
I just purchased the Kodak ESP C310 wireless printer. I have a Toshiba laptop Windows 7. and I cannot get the disk to printer to download and cannot get any connectivity to printer.
i just bought 3 new laptop computers, 2 hp's and one toshiba, all with windows 7. i set up a wireless network using a netgear wnb2000 router. then i got a canon pixma 560 printer, and when that didn't work an hp c4795 printer. now the hp printers wont work. after spending 6 hours on the phone with hp support, they say its a windows 7 firewall issue that won't let my computers speak to the printer via the router. has anyone had this problem, and more importantly, does anyone know of a solution?
