Installing Wireless Printer - Windows 7 Cannot Find Device

I have purchased a D-Link 1040 wireless print server and have connected it to my printer using a USB connection. I have installed the software. I turned the power on and pressed the little button on the side of the print server to enter search mode. In Windows 7 I tried adding a device but my computer can't find it.I suspect I may have to make some network connection or adjustments using my wifi modem. How to proceed?

I have a Macbook Pro that I just loaded a clean install of Windows 7 home 64 bit using bootcamp. I also have a canon printer. I loaded the printer's software in Windows, using a USB cable connected directly to the computer. The printer prints fine. But normally I have the printer connected to an Apple Airport Express wireless network, which prints fine from the Mac side of the computer. Windows see's the Airport Express wireless network and it connects to it fine. But when in Windows and I try to print a document, it can't see the printer. The printer says it is offline. How do I make Windows locate the printer?

My computer can't even find my wireless printer through the wireless router it is connected to. This is a Dell MC4 Dual Processor using Windows 7 with Internet Explorer 9. I have tried everything known to my knowledge to connect the said printer to my computer but nothing is working.

I am trying to install my printer to my wireless network, but I keep getting an error message that I am not the administrator on this computer. This is my personal computer, so don't know why I would not be the administrator. I did set up a homegroup and add my printer and all my documents, but that doesn't seem to make a difference.

I am on a Verizon FIOS wireless network. We have both a Toshiba and Sony computer. I downloaded the latest drivers for my HP Photosmart 6280 printer and was able to successfully install my printer wirelessly. However, no such luck with my Sony. I download the same drivers, and it goes through part of the installation, but at some point I get a message that 'the system cannot find the file specified', and then it rolls back the install, deleting the download.

I bought a new wireless Epson Workforce 545 printer. It has worked without flow for quite some time (nearly a year). Now all the suddenly it wont print.I have it as a shared printer. There are three other family members on the network and all three others print without any problem. Mine worked fine and now wont print. It goes through the motions and then times out. All it says is "printer error".

I downloaded Printers' drivers, one for HP and the other for Epson by accessing their web-sites.Both are USB-connection and working fine, however icons of both printers on, ... Start > Device and Printers,.... there are no printers' icons, even though other devices, such as thumb-drive, monitor, keyboard and others.Just wonder why icons of both printers are missing on 'Device and Printer?'

A friend shipped me a used computer. During shipment a wire had come off the main HD. I did try to start the machine without knowing the wire was off. I got the "bootdevice" message. After talking with my friend I found and replaced the wire. I tried doing a "repair" using F8 but no luck. I can however use the option to "start my computer using the last known etc." Everything works fine, but when I shut the machine off I get the "can't find bootdevice" again when I restart. What do I have to change in my bios settings to make the machine boot normally?

I burnt the Windows 7 RC ISO to a DVD no problem as far as I'm aware. In am able to boot the computer off of the CD. When I go to install Windows 7, it tells me it can't find the CD/DVD device driver.The driver is a SonyNEC Optiarc 20x AD-7190A model. Found the latest firmware (v 1.05); installed it.Still not able to locate the drivers upon install.

I have an Issue when I go into the device manager of my Windows 7 64 bit desktop pc it says: "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28) There is no driver selected for the device information set or element. To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver. This is for the pci input device."
I tried updating the drivers and it says windows could not find the drivers for this device if you know the manufacturer go to there website. I tried searching for the drivers manually through the list that windows gives you but said it couldn't find them either. I have a Creative audigy 2 sound card and when I go to update the driver from the audigy 2 it says that it can't find drivers even though they are installed and the sound card is working.
Nothing indicates that they are installed except for the fact that it does show a driver date and version. I have the latest drivers. From 3 something 2012 I tried updating the drivers from creatives website but it said no hardware device could be detected on my system. Should I maybe reinstall the card? Just put it back into the same slot on my motherboard?

I have a PC I assembled last June. After I loaded it up with my applications and connected my devices I began getting device disconnect sounds as well as a few device connect sounds. I've been troubleshooting by disconnecting all devices then adding devices back one at a time to try to find the culprit. I'm not getting consistent or convincing results so far, but will keep working on that approach.
A Web search on the subject returns lots of results where users are experiencing these sounds. Answers are sparse. And antagonizing! I have not found any hints as to how to extract from the system what is actually happening. What I am looking for is if anybody knows where in the system I can find a log that records device connect/disconnect events associated with these sounds.

I am having trouble installing Windows 7 on a new build that does not have a DVD/CD drive installed. I am using a USB flash drive for the installation. Everything goes well until Windows installation asks me for a DVD/CD driver. I don't have a DVD/CD. Do I need an optical drive in order to install Windows 7?

This is pretty wierd actually.Im unable to update my Nvidia drivers, it keeps saying failed. After reading like hell on google and trying everything, i eventualy kinda gave up.When I went to install my chipset drivers, any type of driver, (i figured i needed to reinstall the motherboard drivers). Sandybridge i5 -2500k MSI gd-55 b3.So all these keep saying UNKNOWN ERROR , the setup program was canceled.This is on that any MSI driver related to my motherboard, intel control manager, sandy, mass storage,also,Realtek Audio goes, cant find any devices, when i do have sound,Cant install network card,Malware / Spyware?no, Ive ran sfc /scannow , Spybot S&D, Malware Bytes, Vipre Anti-vir Premium full scan, security essentials, super anti, kaspersky boot up cd, adaware, . trojan killer and some other oneused ccleaner.registry mechanic.tune up ultimitlies,removed all toolbars,Platform: Windows 7 SP1 (WinNT 6.00.3505)MSIE: Unable to get Internet Explorer version!

You have already checked all your settings and have done everything right. Your hard wired network connections work fine. When you go to wireless all your homegroup and network locations or most of them vanish with no resolution.Quick Solution: Make sure the time your router is keeping is the same as your network computers, including turning on Daylight Savings if applicable.Explanation:There are several threads on the internet about Windows 7 not finding workgroup or network printers or computers on wireless notebooks. This was after people painstakenly went through all the trouble shooters, turned off and restarted their firewalls and antivirus, rebooted and rebooted, reset and reset over and over again, checked all their settings and did everything right and still could not resolve their problem.
There is a likely resolution for this problem - at least it worked for me. It took me nearly a week to find this solution.Occasionally, when running the homegroup troubleshooter, I got the message that the time was not the same on all the network computers. I went around and checked all the computers and the time was the same - so why the message?However when I went to the router, I found that daylight savings was not turned on and the time the router was keeping was an hour different from everything else. Low and behold when I corrected the time on the router all the connection problems were resolved on the notebooks.
