I apologize in advance if a thread related to this has already happened. Judging from my join date, I'm obviously new to these forums, a friend of mine recommended this to me, so I'm hoping someone here can help me figure out this problem. That problem being, I recently just wiped out my Windows 7 Basic edition due to some problems it was having and I recently just installed Windows 7 Ultimate (Wireless LAN_ Realtek_ 8.0. 0.238_W7x86W7x64_EM108). Now from my judgment with computers when I want to connect to a router, in the bottom right hand corner you could do as so and connect right away. Well, I can't do that. Right now I'm connected through my Ethernet cord and I'm trying to figure out this issue.
I went to my manufacturer website (I have a Gateway zx4800) and I recently downloaded the driver I needed (also x64bit) and I have set-up and installed what I needed to do and I even restarted, and still nothing. I even tried to set-up a wireless connection myself and it told me to wait 90 seconds, but nothing showed up for me to sent anything up, so my mind is just completely boggled.
I've been having intermittent disconnection issues with my wireless card, DWA-552. After having thoroughly researched on the subject, the conclusion drawn by many people is that dlink's drivers are inappropriate for the card. It was suggested to install the Atheros driver instead, which i proceeded to do. Much to my confusion, when i downloaded the AR5008 10.0.0.75 driver, i found no .exe file to easily setup the driver.

Now click on brows files from computer and select CD/ DVD ROM in which driver is found. It will scan the CD/ DVD ROM n find and install drivers automatically.

I previously had Ubuntu installed, but just installed windows 7 professional with service pack1, 32-bit X86 Full.
It seems that I can't connect to the internet though. Not via the wire(LAN) or wireless. When opening up device manager the following is located under OTHER DEVICES:

Have recently returned my laptop to factory settings, increased the memory and installed Windows7 and have now lost the wireless capability - usually switched on using Fn+F1 buttons.
I have purchased a D-Link 1040 wireless print server and have connected it to my printer using a USB connection. I have installed the software. I turned the power on and pressed the little button on the side of the print server to enter search mode. In Windows 7 I tried adding a device but my computer can't find it.I suspect I may have to make some network connection or adjustments using my wifi modem. How to proceed?

Okay so i have an older Wireless PCI Card from like 5 years ago, I didnt have an antenna for it so i didnt use it, I recently came across the antenna and put the card in my PC, The "Ethernet Controller" says it doesnt have the drivers, and windows wont find it on its own. So i have gone to the website and downloaded the driver and software, it all tells me there are several missing .dll files.
So i downloaded them virus scanned them etc. and still no progress on getting the card installed. I dont know where the CD for it is and i doubt the CD would even work for windows 7. Can anyone help me out with this prob? Its a Wireless-B PCI Adapter 2.4GHz Model No. BB720C808230
I have a Usb wireless card.... I dont have the make and model on me at the moment but when I plug this into a USB socket, Windows 7 picks it up as a bluetooth device (with errors)

I am trying to install my printer to my wireless network, but I keep getting an error message that I am not the administrator on this computer. This is my personal computer, so don't know why I would not be the administrator. I did set up a homegroup and add my printer and all my documents, but that doesn't seem to make a difference.
I am on a Verizon FIOS wireless network. We have both a Toshiba and Sony computer. I downloaded the latest drivers for my HP Photosmart 6280 printer and was able to successfully install my printer wirelessly. However, no such luck with my Sony. I download the same drivers, and it goes through part of the installation, but at some point I get a message that 'the system cannot find the file specified', and then it rolls back the install, deleting the download.
I installed a new wireless adapter yesterday in the hope of increasing my internet speed. After installing the driver for the adapter I realised that my internet was no longer working. I can still see the connection but it is limited and doesnt allow me to connect to the internet. I also had a system up date the night before and hadn't been on the internet since that happened so am unsure if this has any part in it.I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for both the adapters i have to no avail, as well as plugging my pc into a laptop and using internet connection sharing which also doesnt work.If i run a network repair i end up with two problems found:
1)There might be a problem with the driver for the local area connection adapter
2)There might be a problem with the driver for the wireless network connection adapter They both have yellow signs with exclamation marks next to them.If i type ipconfig/all into the cmd line I get:
My wireless internet speed decreased by 90 % after installing firefox and free download manager,.if i use my net connection in another laptop it works fine, with good speed i am using sony vaio

I have a computer that came with windows 7 home pre-installed. After the 1st month's trial period we decided to install windows 7 enterprise. [code] Second problem is that the windows cannot be installed since the right driver cannot be found. Using the windows software we first disinstalled the initial windows 7 home editions and followed the next steps to install the new windows 7 enterprise version. After finishing the language set up a new box comes up to "select the driver to be installed".Whatever I do, the programme cannot find right driver.I got the necessary driver from the company that configured the computer, but the systems does not recognise it. I have tried to check the BIOS set up, and it appears to be alright...., though I am not really an expert. Which driver should I use in this case?Is there some set up change to consider before installing windows 7?
I was installing ubuntu and on my hp and it was successful. But after, windows failed to boot. I tried repairing and it failed. I've tried a clean windows installation but all windows Dvds cant read the partitions. When I reach at where to choose where to install windows, no hard disk partition is seen and I cant proceed.I tried installing windows xp but it also failed to reach where to choose partitions.
I've have had three working Windows 7 images (Lenovo T510, Lenovo X201, and a Fujitsu T900) for several months. Periodically I install MS updates, make other necessary changes, run sysprep, and recapture the images in an effort to keep them current. Recently now during this update process, after running sysprep (using the same sysprep xml answer file that I have been using all along), wireless no longer works after applying the updated image. The wireless driver appears to be installed, but will not detect any wireless networks. If I attempt to create a wireless network profile manually, I receive "an unexpected network error has occurred."
The wireless device does appear in Device Manager as though it's in tact but if I run diagnostics, the wireless device is not found. Uninstalling, and reinstalling the driver does not fix the problem. I have come up with a workaround, but it is not a true fix, as the workaround prevents me from being able to consolidate the T510 and X201 into one universal Lenovo image as I should be able to do. The workaround consists of adding the following two lines to my xml file:
This allows the wireless to work again because sysprep no longer strips the wireless driver as it processes. However because the wireless driver remains on the image after sysprep, I lose the ability to consolidate the images. After I Inject the T510 drivers into the X201 image, or vice versa, after then I apply the image, wireless only works on the model that the image was captured on, even though the wireless driver for the other model was injected into the image. The strange thing is that the T510 and X201 have the same wireless chipset.
Is there a windows 7 driver for a DWL-G122 wireless usb adapter? I have the installation CD that worked for my computer with windows XP, but my new computer with windows 7 won't register this usb adapter?
