View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently re-installed Windows 7 to my new SSD. Now my Wireless Adapter wont work. It's a "Netopia 3D Reach (ter/gusb-n1)" adapter (usb). The drivers that i came across all say that this adapter only goes up to vista, which doesnt make sense because it worked perfectly before i reinstalled my OS. What's wrong? If you find any kind of Window 7 driver

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just finished building a new PC and installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit today.I have an ASUS Wireless PCI Express Adapter (PCE-N13 802.11 b/g/n). DSL, with a Linksys rounter. Theres just a red X mark on the taskbar and it won't show any open connections =/. I have several wireless devices that work even outside the range which is about maybe 5 meters away from the router. Its pretty much impossible for me to run a wired connection to my PC and need to have a wireless one since theres many tables/couches/chairs inbetween the router and my new PC.

Can someone help by providing click-by-click directions? I'm not a complete novice but clearly not clever enough to follow the directions previously posted. My kids are completely frustrated with having a new machine but being able to get online.
View 3 Replies View Relatedmy Netgear wireless card won't work. It won't work if I have more than 2 GBs of RAM. Which is stupid. I've already looked everywhere and the only answer I could get out of Netgear was "Sorry but we're working on an update". Screw them.Anyway, I'm looking to buy another one because I hate running a 30 ft ethernet cable through the house so I can get internet. I really don't want to get bummed again so if you guys have an recommendations that would work with Windows 7 Pro 64-bit WITH 16 GBs OF RAM (lol)

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an HP pavillion desktop (s5360f) with Atheros 802.11 a/b/g/n Dualband Wireless Module and D-Link router DIR-615. My numerous Laptops and iPhons / iPads work fine, but this desktop which is further away from the router (in another room, about 20 meters) only shows 1-2 bars of wifi. First I bought a big additional D-Link antenna (7Ghz) but it didn't really help - sometimes connction shows 3 bars. I was told this antenna should help a lot. Then I checked with my router settings and saw that the HP uses "g" connection when everything else uses "n". I even set it to only use "n" but still it shows the HP using "g". I updated the driver (Atheros 9.2.0.113 for AR5B91), but it didn't help. I have "n" enabled in Atheros in Device manager. Now I'm lost and can't think of anything else that can be a problem and / or how to fix it... I don't have any thick walls between the router and the HP, my iPhone seems to work in this room just fine...
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an Acer Aspire One Nav 50 with windows 7 starter 32 bit. I recently did something stupid and ended up having to completely re-install windows. The Wireless works sometimes but it usually is not working. It basically seems like it is turned off, it shows that there are no networks available even though there are. I have used Device Manager to update the drivers a few times. I also deleted the drivers and let them re-install like that. It is an Atheros AR5B93.The internal SD card doesn't work at all. When i put a card in nothing happens and it doesn't show up in "Computer". But When i have a card in it and go to device manager it shows up under "Other Device" (something like that) and the number UB6250. I've tried updating the drivers for every USB Device that shows up in device manager.Everything works ok except the wireless and the internal SD reader. I had no problems with them before the reinstall of windows. The normal USB ports work fine. Windows is at SP1.
View 7 Replies View RelatedFirst of all every time I am logged on to my WIFI at home, after a couple of hours, I get told that I am loged on to two WIFI networks (A and B), whilst I only get one set of bars in my statusdisplay (bottom right). When I switch off WIFI, network centre keeps telling me I am loged on to WFI B. A is the SSID and B is the typenumber of teh router I have, so there is only one WIFI signal. Secondly, after being logged on to my home WIFI, All activity seizes, I can not load pages, check e-mail, or anything. I can access my router and it tells me everything is ok, but packages seem to come to a halt. My PS3 can be online, so the problem is in my laptop I think. I have tried releasing and renewing my IP and resetting my router, but only rebooting my laptop helps.

Seems the drivers are not valid for vista 64bit / Windows 7
So I tried the latest drivers from Nintendo 1.7 and still no luck I try to run the software it says no drivers for my OS and I try to install it manually in DevMang.

I'm only getting to 16 Mbps even though the speed in the connection status says 54. I have used it with 2 different wifi routers (Linksys and Asus),with 2 different IPS and with both the actuall speed will not go over 16 Mbps. If i connect using a cable to those routers I get speeds way over 54 Mbps.
I have the latest Windows 7 x64 drivers from windows update. Does anyone have any ideea if there is anything wrong with my card or this is there a way to speed it up ?
I have been having this problem with windows 7. A lot of the time windows 7 shuts off my wireless belkin adapter for my wifi. I check in power settings and under the wireless adapter settings I have choose a setting of maximum performance. But if I leave the computer for a while it seems to shut it off which is really anoying when I want to leave stuff downloading overnight.

He is not supposed to download any programs on this notebook, but he did. So, he went into the control panel and uninstalled some things. Included in this was something called Babylon and also his Atheros wifi adapter. He has tried system restore and it will not work at all.
I went to look at the system recovery and it doesn't go back to the date he did this, nor before. So, I don't know how to reinstall this for him and get him back onto wireless.

mobo: AsRock 970 Extreme 3
processor: Fx 4100
gpu: Radeon hd 6570
PSU: Inland Silver Series ILS-600-2 600 Watt

I recently found this in my network connections and I'm curious to what it is used for...
Anyone have an idea?
My adapter is always gone from resuming from sleep. I know it was working before. Just changed my ram and bios settings from a fresh build. Went from Corsair xms3 to G.Skill Ripjaws.
I am having this same issue with my newly built pc. The drive running Windows 7 is from a laptop where the mobo died. I am using it in AHCI mode because my case has a front hot swap caddy.
I have a Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 mobo and after installing and uninstalling drivers, software, changing settings, removing ram, changing power options to maximum power for pci card and wifi, turning off hibernate, restarted, rebooted, updated all drivers from Gigabyte, chipset drivers, etc. I have unchecked "allow Windows to turn off this device". Restarted and tested and I get the same issue. I have unchecked this box in all of my networking devices too including, 802.11n Wireless Lan Card #2 and Microsoft Virtual Wifi Miniport Adapter. Also, uninstalled and reinstalled these and updated drivers from my disc that came from Gigabyte as well as driver update from the Gigabyte website.
Nothing I do will turn on my wifi card after sleep. Windows will not see a network adapter. Everything works fine after restarting though. I have S3 enabled in bios as that is what I want. I have case fans that I don't want to hear with no option to turn them off. Otherwise, i'd be fine with S1.
Is this just not a working feature? I've read that sleep is an ongoing issue with Windows, but my pc sleeps fine. I just want to be able to put my pc to S3 sleep and resume with a working wifi card. There must be a key setting i'm missing because i'm sure it was working with my last set of ram.
