View 3 RepliesWireless printer had been configured to laptop via netgear router and wired to desktop as well. netgear router crapped out and was replaced with previously owned linksys wireless router; laptop no longer communicates with printer.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI bought a new wireless Epson Workforce 545 printer. It has worked without flow for quite some time (nearly a year). Now all the suddenly it wont print.I have it as a shared printer. There are three other family members on the network and all three others print without any problem. Mine worked fine and now wont print. It goes through the motions and then times out. All it says is "printer error".

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been driving myself crazy the past few hours trying to iron out this little issue of mine to no avail. I have a logitech wave wireless kb/m combo on one of my machines that has been working until today. I had moved the computer to another room and in doing so had unplugged everything. I noticed after startup that windows automatic driver update kicked in and as I moved the mouse over to see what it was trying to update my keyboard and mouse both ceased to function. I'm not very savvy in the ways of the driver and at this point in time I only have a wired mouse working on my machine (no wired keyboard available). I should point out that this happened both with the front panel usb ports as well as the on board ports. I have attempted to uninstall and reinstall the pair but it was no good. I thought perhaps I could get around this issue and try to turn off automatic update if i rolled the computer back a day and went into safe mode to work it out but the computer just updates the drivers there as well.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi just bought 3 new laptop computers, 2 hp's and one toshiba, all with windows 7. i set up a wireless network using a netgear wnb2000 router. then i got a canon pixma 560 printer, and when that didn't work an hp c4795 printer. now the hp printers wont work. after spending 6 hours on the phone with hp support, they say its a windows 7 firewall issue that won't let my computers speak to the printer via the router. has anyone had this problem, and more importantly, does anyone know of a solution?
View 13 Replies View RelatedThe printer works fine after the PC is rebooted or just turned on, but as soon as it returns from sleep I cannot print to the USB printer. I have the port set to "do not turn this device off" but none of those power settings for the USB hubs seem to work.
I had to use the Troubleshooter to allow the USB mouse/Keyboard to reinitialize after sleep, but the troubleshooter does not apply the same fix for the USP printer. Is there some way to do this manually?
I know MS is trying to remove options and configurations for the average PC user, but I've been working in IT for years now and there are a bunch of things that I would at least have the option of turning on/off but some features don't exist in Windows 7 (like UP button in My Computer).
Anyone have an idea how to make the printer work from sleep without having to unplug and re-plug the USB cord in? It's a PITA.
i think i changed the program in compatibilty to the wrong 1

I downloaded the parallel card driver but not sure it installed. I read that win7 would auto detect it but neither ever displayed even after powering off and on.
Any ideas?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just finished building a new PC and installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit today.I have an ASUS Wireless PCI Express Adapter (PCE-N13 802.11 b/g/n). DSL, with a Linksys rounter. Theres just a red X mark on the taskbar and it won't show any open connections =/. I have several wireless devices that work even outside the range which is about maybe 5 meters away from the router. Its pretty much impossible for me to run a wired connection to my PC and need to have a wireless one since theres many tables/couches/chairs inbetween the router and my new PC.

View 5 Replies View RelatedHave a wireless Lexmark printer for three computers, (His, Hers, Laptop). All were working great. I set up (tried) Homegroup. Piece of cake for Hers and Laptop. His gets "This computer cannot connect to a Homegroup" message - another problem. Hers tried to do 2-sided printing, used to work great but could not now. I noticed that the printer on Hers was now named Laptop. We only use the Laptop for traveling. So I removed Laptop printer on Hers and tried to add the printer. Now I cannot add the printer, it tries, gets to the "installing printer popup and hangs forever with no CPU usage. I cannot cancel. The only way to go on is to restart. Have tried the following all without success. Deleted the printer and the printer drivers. Installed the drivers from DVD. Tried to add printer. Hangs as described above. Plus tried everything else I could think of, removing printer, adding printer, etc.
