Apr 26, 2009I have build 7000, and am upgrading to a later build. How can I get my MCE recorded tv list (programs it has recorded in the past and the upcoming recording) to transfer to the new build? I have tried the easy transfer stuff and that did not copy it over.
Does anyone have any pointers? I like the new build - but I had too many shows setup to record to bother with the upgrade - and it's annoying to have it record duplicates of reruns I've already seen (though some reruns I haven't so I can't say "only new" in the record options).
Anyone know how this data is stored and is it transferable between builds?

Feb 3, 2010I've not needed to burn a dvd or cd on my laptop since I've had it (got a desktop and use that mostly) ... but I went to burn a file onto a cd-rw disc tonight and I keep getting the message that the disc is either write protected or that there is no disk in the drive.I've tried checking for updates to the driver, but there isn't any and I have the most up-to-date driver.I've tried uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it - still nothing.And I've also tried removing the drive through device manager, and reinstalling it and yet still nothing.I've searched around on the net for solutions and on here but can't find anything so

"One or more of the files you have selected is not a supported file and can not be added to the list", even a Non copyrighted one.
Using the original Vista, sp-1, there was no problem. After upgrade to Windows 7, recorded file types has been change from "Windows Movie" to "Windows TV", not even Nero can recognize the new extension.

Whenever I add a network printer I always make sure the "List in the Directory" (meaning Active Directory) is checked under the sharing tab in the properties of each printer. On Windows XP machines I can go through the add printer wizard and it finds all printers in the domain.On windows 7 professional clients when I got to Add Printer then select "Add a Network, Wireless, or Bluetooth printer" it does not find any network printers from my file server. I have the file and print sharing enabled on the Windows 7 clients and the File Server.

I�m using a Dlink DIR-655 Router, set to connect at 1Gbps, Western Digital NAS drive, it says it�s connected at 1Gbps, and my laptop is set to connect at 1Gbps also. My laptop has a Realtek NIC, with the lastest drivers that I can find. Every thing is set to 1Gbps and, they all connect at that speed, but transferring between my NAS and my laptop, I ONLY get right at 5Mbs. Everything is connected with Cat5e cables, no long runs or anything. I�ve looked at several forums to figure out what I can do to get higher transfer speeds

Having encountered the XP version recently and resolved the issue, I was able to easily remove the virus and associated rootkit. The difference this time was that unhide.exe failed to restore the start>all programs menu shortcuts, although it did manage to restore the folder structure. Feb 13, 2012I have one PC on which I am running Windows 7 ultimate and Windows XP (via MS Virtual PC 2007).I have downloaded Windows Easy Transfer for Windows XP (wet7xp_x86.exe) and installed it onto the the VM running XP.I have created several accounts on the XP VM but during the transfer only the administrator user account that I am logged into in VM XP is transferred into Windows 7. Should not all the accounts be transferred simultaneously? What am I doing wrong?

Songs Skipping To Next Track Partial Way Through ITunes/WMPC?
Nov 1, 2011recently got a new laptop a Lenovo Y570. I moved my entire audio collection from my old laptop over and attempted to play songs in iTunes it repeatedly on the majority of songs skips to the next track at a random point throughout the song.this is not the 20 second preview setting in iTunes as it has skipped the same song at 5 seconds or 45 or even 2 mins in. I then tried the songs in Windows Media Player Classic same thing, and again in Windows Media Player 12. However from a few tests QuickTime seems to play songs fine.I updated the Renesas audio driver and tried the CCCP codec pack, then removed it and installed the basic K-Lite codec pack which seems to have fixed the problem for windows media player 12 but the others still dont work. *update tried more songs in WMP12 and it skips some songs midway thru as well.
