I can burn a normal audio cd, yet i can not get it to burn mp3's (data cd, also says for mp3's in software) i have tried a few burning programs and always get the same result. so i figure its a windows 7 issue.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have windows 7 home premium,4gb ram,comletely updated. i am using windows media player to burn music to a cd-r disk which i have always done in the past.only difference is now im using a 52x instead of a 40x.i dont know if this is the problem or not.all the songs im burning are in mp3 format. when i burn all the songs to a 52x cd-r ,the first 10 or so songs play fine when i play then in my truck in my cd player.after that,it takes multiple passes of the cd player to find each individual song after that.it makes a skipping sound as though its searching for it or it cant find it or read the disk.at times it will even eject the cd and say there was an error reading the disk.i tried different setting through windows media player,including dropping it down to a 20x,slowing it down,using wav format..etc.still nothing.when using the 40x cd-r,it will play almost every song in my truck without hesitation,except for the last one or 2 songs.the songs all play fine through my media player after they are burned,however,once i put the cd-r in my drive,i go to C: and look at my drive where the cd-r is located,its showing that there is nothing on it,that there is 0 used on disk.if i double click the drive,it gives me this error....this file does not have an program associated with it for performing this action.please install a program or,if one is allready installed,create an association in the default programs in control panel.basically i cant open the file by double clicking on the drive,but if i right click my drive and click "open"..it opens..lol..so confusing.never had that problem.will even open in any player i want,funny thing is it show nothing on disk when i look at my drive.all i really care about is why i cant burn these correctly to cd,and that it only burns thah first 10 and and the player has a hard time burning the rest?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a trail copy of windows 7 ultimate 32 bit with a keygen to make it into a licened version. thing is the disk does not have any updates on it. normally i can live without them, but it doesnt even have the most basic things like realtek hd audio driver or even my video card driver. windows update will automatically install everything i need as soon as i connect to the internet, but i do not always have internet handy. my question is would there be any way i can burn my updates to a disk instead of just installing them so i can have them for later? i dont need this to work on all computers cause im aware that different computers require different drivers. i only need my own computer updates.

Earlier I had no issues at all burning DVD-Rs. But all of a sudden when I try to burn videos I get "unspecified recorder error". I used the same brand media as earlier (Sony) and tried many different disks but to no avail. Tried Nero 8 & Imgburn, but both don't work. I can burn the same files to CD-R & DVD-RW. I can also burn data files to DVD-R but not videos & ISO. Tried restarting the computer & updating the driver. Just one time, the disk wouldn't eject & had to use a pin to manually eject. View 0 Replies View RelatedI am having a problem with my Windows 7 Pro edition when burning data to a CD-RW.When I add new data to existing data already burned on the CD-RW, the data has been written correctly to the disk, but when I view the disk after writing the new data, I never see the new data...the only data I see is the data that was written to the CD-RW at the FIRST burning. When I place my CD-RW in my other computer with Windows XP, all the data appears...initial burning and all subsequent burnings; place it in my Windows 7 CD drive and NO secondary data is showing.In one program I have for burning, I actually get a dialog box saying "the data has been written correctly to the disk, but the number of files does not match the expected file count. Most likely, the file system structure has not been written correctly and some files will not appear on the disk." What is going on with this "file system structure has not been written correctly?"This is a new wrinkle in the sheet for me. I have 5 CD/DVD read/write drives, and they all work the same...only initial files show and other files are not visible when re-burning to a CD-RW. It is really a new Agatha Christie mystery to me.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm using Samsung laptop with TSSTcorp CD/DVD TS-L633J recorder. Windows 7 x86_64. Can any tell me what are the possible problems (and solutions) of my CD/DVD burner? I bought this new laptop from Dubai, so even if I do have warranty, I can't use it here in my country Philippines, since warranty is exclusively for Dubai only. My CD/DVD drive can easily play DVDs (even the blank one) without any hassle. Unfornately, it can't read blank CDs unless there are already files burned in it. It can reformat CD-RW, but once the CD became blank, it can't read it anymore. Same thing happens to when I try to burn files on a DVD. It appears that it is burning, but when it finishes, it suddenly gets an unexpected error. I tried all types of disk like DVD+R, DVD-R, CD-R and CD-RW, but it allends the same. My CD/DVD burner cannot burn disks.
I already uninstalled the drive, but it's all the same. I run "Fix it", but it gets an unexpected error and won't scan the drive.
I am not new to IT, but i absolutely confused now. I have downloaded the win 32 upgrade pack (the student offer) and it appear to be an exe file. How can i burn it on the dvd and make it bootable?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have burned CD's and DVDs before no problem. Now I get a window 'Error - there was a problem burning this disc' after maybe 2 minutes of building the image file. Using the built in burn appl in 7 Pro. DVD +R disc is fine, doesn't begin to even burn. Can't be hardware because it's worked fine before. Can't be intermittent as I haven't removed/touched any internals. Tried making the pagefile larger, to match ram of 2GB ( min 2048, max 4000). Same. Lots of room on the hard drive. Can't believe it would be because data is 3.64 GB because 7 should just use the hard drive if it runs out of ram.

Is is very loud when tryin to do this and seems to be reving up and stoppin before it spits out the CD. I have tried burning with Nero, what i always use and also tried WMP and got the same result. It has the ability to be able to boot several types of ISO images ranging from Linux Ubuntu, Windows, Hirens Boot CD, to HP Automatic Firmware update, even Acronis! and more.plus its free! how to figure out which type of boot to choose by browsing contents after mounting the image and then configure this program with the proper settings. I did find something that said Windows, but its a folder. Not only that but as I've said I've tried several different USB to DVD tools, all of them windows and none of them worked.

I ran the Microsoft FixIt application but it did not resolve the problem. Fresh install of windows 7. Brand new cdr's. Also, when I insert a blank CD, it doesn't show up in My Computer, however if I insert a CD with data on it(or music), it shows up. Also should point out I have VirtualCloneDrive installed.
not using Windows DVD Maker or nero as of right now im using nero but it always loads when i boot up and there are tons of stuff thats not needed only thing i use it for is to burn data to dvds mainly avi to watch on my tv using my dvd player Windows DVD Maker takes to much of the time on the dvd only 150 min. per a dvd when i use nero im able to burn 3-4 videos to a dvd is there a way to change the time into gbs in Windows DVD Maker are is there a software that would just do the job im looking to do im going to try imgburn and see how the playback is with that
