Unable To Burn CD's/DVD's?
Feb 3, 2010I've not needed to burn a dvd or cd on my laptop since I've had it (got a desktop and use that mostly) ... but I went to burn a file onto a cd-rw disc tonight and I keep getting the message that the disc is either write protected or that there is no disk in the drive.I've tried checking for updates to the driver, but there isn't any and I have the most up-to-date driver.I've tried uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it - still nothing.And I've also tried removing the drive through device manager, and reinstalling it and yet still nothing.I've searched around on the net for solutions and on here but can't find anything so

Jun 17, 2009when trying to vurn a pre recorded tv program I get this message:
"One or more of the files you have selected is not a supported file and can not be added to the list", even a Non copyrighted one.
Using the original Vista, sp-1, there was no problem. After upgrade to Windows 7, recorded file types has been change from "Windows Movie" to "Windows TV", not even Nero can recognize the new extension.

Apr 16, 2012I have been downloading pictures to Facebook, Walgreens, and Shutterfly for 3 years with no problems. All of a sudden I can not upload any pictures! I had no difficulties downloading them from my memory card to my computer and I can view them just fine. When I go to upload them it will let me select the pictures I want and start the process, but then just keep "loading" or "thinking" for hours if I would let it. It will not upload even one photo.

Nov 18, 2011I have a problem getting Media Center to display my Photos showing the individual photos contents of each folder.I am running Windows 7 HP 64 bit with all updates. My MEDIA (movies, music & photos) are on a separate hdd (M). Each of the media formats has it's own folder on the M drive, Movies, Music & Photos. I have no problem with the movies or the music. However, when I choose "pictures" in Windows Media Center only the individual photos folders are shown....no photos are shown in these folders. I see the individual folders but no contents. I have set up "Libraries" on the C: drive; Music, Video & Photos. When I click on photos in the "Libraries" all the photos folders are show each with it's own photos. I have "Shared" these libraries as well as each folder on the Media drive M. The format of the individual photos is jpg. I have run SFC/Scannow.

May 16, 2012I've been using my parents computer for the last few months and decided to make my own user/log-in the other day. After doing so, I cut/pasted my photos folder into my new user directory (or whatever, I'm not very techie..). I have thousands of photos, my BF is a photographer, and I can view most of them. However, in one particular folder 90% of them aren't viewable! Says I don't have permission... When I log back into parents windows, I can see the photos in my directory (as they are no longer located in theirs) but there are little gold padlocks on the ones I cannot see on my log-in. I've tried changing permissions, ownership, you name it.. I've looked for help on line and tried everything. The only thing that seems to work is if I right click on each individual photo and change things that way.

May 11, 2011I'm using Samsung laptop with TSSTcorp CD/DVD TS-L633J recorder. Windows 7 x86_64. Can any tell me what are the possible problems (and solutions) of my CD/DVD burner? I bought this new laptop from Dubai, so even if I do have warranty, I can't use it here in my country Philippines, since warranty is exclusively for Dubai only. My CD/DVD drive can easily play DVDs (even the blank one) without any hassle. Unfornately, it can't read blank CDs unless there are already files burned in it. It can reformat CD-RW, but once the CD became blank, it can't read it anymore. Same thing happens to when I try to burn files on a DVD. It appears that it is burning, but when it finishes, it suddenly gets an unexpected error. I tried all types of disk like DVD+R, DVD-R, CD-R and CD-RW, but it allends the same. My CD/DVD burner cannot burn disks.
I already uninstalled the drive, but it's all the same. I run "Fix it", but it gets an unexpected error and won't scan the drive.

Jun 4, 2012I have burned CD's and DVDs before no problem. Now I get a window 'Error - there was a problem burning this disc' after maybe 2 minutes of building the image file. Using the built in burn appl in 7 Pro. DVD +R disc is fine, doesn't begin to even burn. Can't be hardware because it's worked fine before. Can't be intermittent as I haven't removed/touched any internals. Tried making the pagefile larger, to match ram of 2GB ( min 2048, max 4000). Same. Lots of room on the hard drive. Can't believe it would be because data is 3.64 GB because 7 should just use the hard drive if it runs out of ram.

Dec 21, 2011my CD drive will not burn any CD, it reads them ok when i put in an audio cd or a driver CD but everytime i try to burn something it fails. Is is very loud when tryin to do this and seems to be reving up and stoppin before it spits out the CD. I have tried burning with Nero, what i always use and also tried WMP and got the same result. I did find something that said Windows, but its a folder. Not only that but as I've said I've tried several different USB to DVD tools, all of them windows and none of them worked.

I ran the Microsoft FixIt application but it did not resolve the problem. Fresh install of windows 7. Brand new cdr's. Also, when I insert a blank CD, it doesn't show up in My Computer, however if I insert a CD with data on it(or music), it shows up. Also should point out I have VirtualCloneDrive installed.
Burn Avi For Dvd Playback?
Nov 15, 2011not using Windows DVD Maker or nero as of right now im using nero but it always loads when i boot up and there are tons of stuff thats not needed only thing i use it for is to burn data to dvds mainly avi to watch on my tv using my dvd player Windows DVD Maker takes to much of the time on the dvd only 150 min. per a dvd when i use nero im able to burn 3-4 videos to a dvd is there a way to change the time into gbs in Windows DVD Maker are is there a software that would just do the job im looking to do im going to try imgburn and see how the playback is with that

Basically, what happened was; they attatched their mobile Phone via USB, then opened up the photos from the phones storage in windows explorer, then cut them, and got sidetracked into some other work, and whilst in a rush they shut down the laptop without pasting the photos anywhere, they cannot find the photos on the laptop or the phone's Internal storage, I will pay a visit soon as the pictures are important as they are of their 11 week old daughter, I will have a deeper search, but does anyone have any suggestions for me to try?
